Quote:I had forgot you could trade from Blue Champion to Red Freedom that way. Lot of good mechanics changes lately. EG needs to unlearn what he has learned.

Quote:How do your hero characters know where the goods they buy at Wentworth's come from? As War Witch said, the paperwork is immaculate. You're using out of character knowledge for the benefit of your characters' souls. That's a mega-RP no no.Sad, but not surprising. My hero characters will never use the market again.
On that topic:
Do your hero characters only buy fair trade coffee?
Do your hero characters shop at Wal-Mart?
Do your hero characters buy foreign oil that supports terrorism? -

Quote:I would be so pissed if they did this.This has to be the first time in six years I've seen four people answer the same question four different ways at exactly same time. You'd think this was something interesting like NCSoft announcing Desdemona figurines shipping with Gamestop preorders.

You should probably post which server.

Quote:Ditto. Despite what the RP weirdos think, this will actually enhance the freedom to RP.It's creating a seismic shift in my game approach. I had been all about clearing out and heading to blue sobbing softly over the loss of my three favorite parts of red side: Mayhems, Patrons (yes really) and Television.
Add to the fact that we will be able to trade and email across factions I feel like I was caught in an explosion. This must be what a true headasplode feels like.
I have a few characters that I fully intended to switch to hero for no other reason than the markets. Now they can stay villains (or go Rogue) because I will have access to markets and can twink between the sides. -
Based on the FAQ, yes. While they'll still be called different things when you're in Paragon, RI, it's all just INF.
There's also this thing called "information" in the FAQ.
EDIT: Beat by Arcanaville! (and not in the naughty way that she fantasizes about!

Quote:You're wrong and like many other naysayers will be proven wrong by the merger.
But that's just me. I guess we'll see when the dust settles in September or Novemeber.
Prices will hit their equilibrium, marketeers will still make money as they always have, and everyone will have better access to goods.
Some prices will go up, some down. I imagine that heroes will have somewhere to sell all those pet recipes now, villains all that salvage that goes to waste. This will make lowbie characters on both sides money. Those that bother to post their stuff will do well. All will be right.
The fools who claimed that loot would ruin the game were wrong;
The idiots who claimed that side-switching would ruin the game were wrong;
The madmen who claimed flashbacks would ruin the game were wrong.
I've was for all these changes. Loot and Flashbacks have become beloved features and I'm sure that side-switching will as well. Strangely, I expect this market merger to simply fade into the consciousness of the game. Folks will come to believe that this is how the game always should have been. All will be right. -

Normally, I don't do this, but I'm going to make an exception.
I've won a great many fights over the years in this game. This one is particularly sweet. All of us who've been fighting for this should rejoice. But I'm going one further. I'm going to be on the lookout for these imagined "negative consequences" we've been told about for three years. I doubt I'll find them, and if I don't I'm going to post the biggest "I told you so." I ever have!

Going to buy this pack for the organic wings and the temp power, but overall, I think this is one of the weakest packs yet. Magic has so far been the best and this pack is a far cry from that.
I'm not even really sure what the hell this has to do with mutants?
But you guys have the cheapest item shop around so I still consider it a reasonable value all things considered. -
Quote:No, that's called a living breathing City that looks more like the real world. The only problem I have with in-game advertising is that there was only like one billboard.This is great. No one on this conference call knows I'm forum trolling.
Wouldn't there be concerns of tackiness if you started seeing Billboards advertising shampoo?
PS - Did you notice I ignored the bacon question?
So long as it didn't cause a performance hit, it would be cool if clicking on real life advertising billboards opened your browser and took you to that products website. -
I'm not seeing much of a problem with this promotion. These are going to be nice for the low levels. And look folks, you get the free month with the box anyway so ask yourself if these enhancers are worth $25 to you.
Given that folks have paid $25 for mounts in WoW and EQ2 recently, having all my new characters start with these enhancers might be worth it. -
Elec/SD/Fire or Fire/SD/Fire
Those two Scrapper combos are scary good. -
Quote:I take Swift on every single character I have, even ones that don't take Stamina. What's fun to you isn't necessarily fun to everyone else. I love passive powers. Substance over flash any day of the week IMO.Fitness. Talk about power taxation, not a single one of the Fitness powers is "fun" they are all basically just passive stat bonuses. The only reason anybody takes them is to get Stamina, a pool power that is basically required for most builds in order to have fun and not be hitting Rest every time it refreshes.

I always like reading posts like these.

I don't think "Instance" is the correct word. I think the OP is asking for a contested area, not something that would exist for only one team.
