Kinetic corrupter and a DA brute, is a match made in heaven, the brute will have his endurance problems solved with speed boost and transference, damage kept up with fulcrum shift, and that lack of energy res in DA will be made up for with increase density

MA/DA should be a really nice build, prolly hard in the early levels like most DA but get really nice later, because your MA and more single target i'd leave out death shroud no need for the PbAoE damage.
For shields i'd suggest
Dark Embrace : 3 damage resist 2 endurance redux
Murky CLoud: 3 damage res 2 endurance redux
Obsidian Shield 3 damage res and 2 endurance redux
Cloak of darkness 2 endurance redux (this'll serve you well in PvP because of the +perception, the immobilize protection, although if you want the cheaper endurance option combat jumping will serve you well in PvE)
Power pools you'll probably want to consider is leaping (for acrobatics, no knockback resistance with DA and combat jumping will give you immobilze protection until cloak of darkness) fitness,fighting and possibly speed pool if you want your attacks to cycle better.
I'd advise taking tough now due to ED and loss in s/l damage res.
Furthermore oppresive gloom will be nice with your MA for multiple stun control on mobs, allowing you to stun lts and boss's with cobra strike, and the minions will be out of the fight.
For dark regen, its very endurance heavy so 2 accuracy and 3 endurance redux works well, the base recharge is nice, if you have slots to spare stick a recharge reduction on it.
Any spare slots you have left I'd stick on the shields. DA will be very toggle heavy, which is a major downfall. -

nope CJ + hurdle is better, no suppresion no recharge, immobilze protection, so no need to burn a break free if i get immobilzed. Also no animation.
Oh yeah and ID is meant to have res damage in it my bad -
why chillbain? the single target immobilze seems like a waste to me, also for hurricane i'd switch round one of the endurance reductions for another tohit debuff, so it'd be 3 tohitdebuffs and 2 endurance reduction.

damn i rolled my katana/da scrapper, and loved him to bits, once i hit SOs i actually felt like a tank, got him to level 29 then retired him, why? katana got boring for me, always felt overshadowed by spines (thats my real favourite set) aswell as DA just lacking that scrappery feel and the endurance did annoy me, i could never last as long as the other members of the team, esp in arena duals, i couldnt last that long, unable to unleash a volley of attacks, unlike regenners
Although i've never had so much fun beeing sked to the 40+ game and tanking an 8man spawn of infernal minions. now that was insane.
oh and im off to make a spines/regen build after righting this post -
yup kill em all, if i see em, or i know their there i'll go for them, if im in sirens and the bounty is in its base i'll still go for them, no mercy, its PvP. I do feel sympathetic if i'm going after the same person again and again or if theres no challenge in beating them especially in the "gank squad" teams. But if their bounty their gona be hunted
Also,I dont mind getting killed, but on some occasions the cockyness from some players that follows after they've killed me annoys me, esp droning on and on and on about the defeat, and prolly how awesome they think they are, but hey those guys will be top of the list in hunting -

A good controller shouldn't have to rely on pets thats my ethos, later on in the levels 90% of the controllers neglect their other powers and just leave it all to the pets. Don't be like that-Learn to survive without pets.

i agree with NB on this, i don't understand why people don't get follow up, its great in chains and thats what claws is all about, sure claws damage is less than others however it can chain attacks better than the rest, so fit perma follow up onto your chain your effectively increasing your damage output big time, If i was claws i'd definately get it, esp with less damage in scrappers its a must imo.

sadly it doesn't have -jump nor fly, just a slow and damage, its great against stalkers in PvP zones, im officially un assassin strikeable in the zones with hot feet. Hot feet really shines before imps when you have control post 24 its nice damage with containment. and well hot feet + imps zomg thats some nasty damage you got there

I also felt this about rad defenders, i felt it was so much better as a controller secondary, mainly as 90% of the rad defenders i've teamed with are absolutely [censored] so it gave me a bad impression of them. Recently teamed with G-zeus's rad defender and ZOMG, it is awesome changed my opinion of rad completely. In a good players hands any powerset can be great.
What am i suggesting? Storm can be a great powerset for defenders if you team with someone who knows how to use them, most of the stormies i've seen take the offender role and have no clue about how to use their primaries, so learn your primaries and how to be good at defending, before you offend. Thats the way i did it for kinetics.
As for trick arrow, it'll have a great bag of tricks that when used correctly will make it shine. Just give it a go and give it time, don't let the starting powers throw you off, looking at the descriptions it has some really nice debuffs, and sounds nice. Problem is you will be overshadowed by the empathy defenders. -
What will be needed for PvP? :
Rad infection: accuracy debuff is insane, nothing can hit you unless they have aim+build up
Lingering Rad: best slow in the game, really screws up their attack chain.
Enervating field: makes taking down your target much easier
Also for PvP consider tactics, +perception means that if your opponent use invisi to try and drop toggles, you'll still be able to target them and rad debuff will stay on them, ie invisi can't drop the toggle debuffs. -

Stalker isnt "the best" PvP AT, thats a controller imo, however it is far from the worst in PvP zones, in an open map with loads of room to disappear get hide back up, it is the best. As for non PvP ATs, i agree with botty, there are no useless ATs, the most satisfying thing i do is challengin a tank who thinks hes the indesctruble AT, and wiping the floor with him in duals. And the shame that they get from beeing beaten by a defender............priceless

Hmm why do i think its [censored] in team PvE, think about it, kinetics ethos you heal around an enemy, so basically meleers and melee range is your best positioning in battle, For group heals, fuclrum shift, transference, Its all centered around being amongst foes in a tight battle. What does repel do? it totally [censored] everything up, you end up knocking foes away left right and centre, spreading the battle and ruining positioning in battle. Sure its can be used as an oh [censored] button, but face it NPCs are going to use range attacks to, and you'll get aggro and get faceplanted along with a teamwipe followed. Also think about it, its sucks endurance dry, you go near an enemy, oo wait its repelled out of transference range. Completely [censored] power for PvE. I never even bothered picking it up first time round, but i've seen many kins use it and generally it sucks, along with the defender themselves. And gives us a bad impression. If someone can use it well, and make me think its great in PvE please send me a tell on defiant i'd like to see you use it, and change my mind about the power.
On the other hand in PvP its great, you can keep blasters in duals floored, as control, stalkers aren't a worry to us. scrappers can't stay in range long enough to kill us. Hence PvP good.... PvE absolutely [censored]. -
just wondering, are you making a dominator specifically designed for PvP, or are you making an ice/psi dominator having a PvP build. If your going to make a dominator for PvP i'd make a mind/ice or mind/energy dominator.
As for your current build, is acrobatics really necessary?? its a toggle its terrible rez to hold and well for knockback protection, its good but your offence is your defence, so you could quite easily just take speed pool instead of leaping. Hasten will really help you on stacking holds on enemies, and breaking their mes resistance.
Also your built round PvP, do you really want leadership pool, its a strain to endurance, 2 more toggles on top of CJ and acrobatics. Tohitbuff is okay, but if your going for +perception, theres no realy need after all you have arctic air which is -stealth, and will unhide stalkers. so as long as your team stays near you, they'll be safe against stleathed foes. So for PvP i'd recommend aid self and stimulant on your build, aid self will improve your surivability big time, and stimulant will be real useful on teams.
As for glacier, best to keep it at 2 acc 2 hold and 2 recharge, for PvE and thats just fine in PvP to, in PvP your not going to be spamming an AoE hold all the time, esp in 1-1s your best control on teams is ice slick.
