Don't know his slotting or such but I know his power choices from looking at that vid.
Spines: lunge, impale, ripper,Assassin strike, placate, build up
Super Reflexes: Everything in the set.
Medicine:Stimulant, aid self.
Speed: Hasten
Concealment: Stealth, Grant invisi, Phase shift (i think)
And um I read he slotted sprint and quickness, and spams elude a lot! -
Heh yup, seen them both and their both ones to check out. Worthy mention has to be slyfe, who might i say has one unique build for a level 40 stalker.......no travel power just hasten from speed pool and concealment pool, the sacrifices stalkers make to fit in such powers eh?
-
I was looking at the US boards and came across this stalker video. Personally I think stalkers are a fantastic AT for the concept, and this video really shows how cool they are. I felt that I should share it with you lot. The first battle music is ace. My favourite part is where the stalker lines up 3 heroes for a ripper, triple crit!
Slyfe's video

I wouldn't really agree with that seems a shame to leave out people because of their powers. Storm isn't overpowering if you know how to fight one. Captain Freon has managed to beat me in a dual, because he knew what to do. */rad is generally more powerful in duals, yet nothing is that overpowering.
-
heh ta captain cathode, the battle was great fun and nicely organised.
I had a great time in the arena, everyone played well. Damn unstoppable was annoying though hehe!
Good Game all!! -
Wahey!!!! Super gratz to skullator aka. Soaring dragon the regen scrapper on defiant who spams "heal plz!!!" for getting his first level 40.
Super gratz mate well deserved I look foward to the 40-50 grind with you mateyprovided I ever pry myself away from sirens.
Well done bud!!!!
P.N -
Eagles Claw, damn that is one cool power.
Seriously though, as much as broadsword may hit hard. MA has the control, aswell as having the better build up. I'd always go with a little scraptrol, rather than full out damage. With focus Chi and Eagles Claw critical, Nightbringer can almost 1 shot me, aswell as having his stacking stuns.
The extra accuracy on MA is very nice to.
Martial Arts all teh way -

There's something you might want to know : against +5 and over, Bonfire becomes knockdown instead of knockback, so it's as effective as Ice slick. (not to mention you can have 2 Bonfire out at a time)
As you're fire/FF, it can be useful if you're in a group of higher levels and there's no room for sk'ing. Bubbles + Bonfire and you're still contributing a great deal.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah yeah i noticed that myself, never knew it was after +5 mobs.
cool fact -
lol? tanking????? you tank with your stalker???????
Anyway, I still consider regen a bad choice on stalkers. The no defence and toggle status protection aswell as minimum regen really doesn't go for a stalker at all. You can really tell the difference between my em/sr stalker and another villain i know's em/regen stalker. BIG difference, regen really does lack on stalkers. It is "okay" for the odd scrap but if you even get to much aggro your dead because stalkers have such small hp. Besides stalkers lose a lot of damage if they scrap as they'll spend a lot of time out of hide. -
Best for PvP and PvE
Martial Arts and Energy Melee Primaries.
Super reflexes or ninjitsu for secondary.
Spines is good for PvP- Impale -
lmao was thinking that myself. No way ice/kinetics is THAT good.
-
As much as assault/tactics may help the both of you. Wouldn't medicine help you in your team more?
Think of this, you both have a self heal to reduce downtime. ALso if you both have stimulant before hand, you'll both get the benefit of having some status protection, so when duoing with that blaster you won't have to worry about getting mezzed. -
Imo bitter freeze ray isn't worth it- animation time is way to long. It is good for hold stacking but you can also just stack freeze ray on its own as the recharge for freeze ray is very fast. Run Hasten, freeze ray slotted with 2 acc 2 hold 2 recharge, or 2 acc 1 hold 3 recharge if you wana hold stack.
-
Okay this is close to my defenders build which I had while i was levelling him. Obviously a few adjustments are made, it fits E.D, you have dark secondary, there are powers added which I wish i took. This build is a pure PvE and pure support kinetics defender. The kinetics slotting side of things is suited to PvE.

Few things:
Kinetics, this is mainly a buffing set, its filled with the best buffs in the game. You should really focus on buffing, the heal is a good support though, It is a great AoE heal.
The main point of kinetics is to speed up things. All the essential buffs and debuffs lead to your team hacking through mobs in record time.
Speed boost reduces downtime in missions and makes teammate attack at a greater rate.
Transference allows the team to keep up their rate of attack without endurance problems. You and your team will always be able to replenish endurance.
Siphon Power and Fulcrum Shift, ensure that you are outdamaging your opponent, and greatly increases the rate at which your team will take down a mob.
Increase Density gives good res to damage, The res to status effects aswell as Knockback protection and high rest to damage. Really do help "squishies"
As you can see these type of powers, and many more aid in speed up battles.
The bain of kinetics is accuracy which is why its always a good idea to get tactics, and vengeance is always a nice buff, as it is unavoidable someone will die in your team, might aswell make good use of it eh
I always think its good to have fitness and getting stamina along with kinetics, especially if you run leadership pool, there will be times where you'll run low on endurance and transference requires a tohit,so there is always a chance you'll miss. Stamina really helps me keep my buffing up without worry about endurance.
I really don't advise getting medicine on a kinetics, absolutely no need for it, Aid other does a pathetic single target heal, and you already have an outstanding AoE one. You don't need a res just carry awakens. Waste of a pool power with kinetics.
I'd advise getting hasten, The recharge buff really helps get fulcrum shift, your heal and transference up as often as possible. And siphon speed is a nice in combat movement power, and the recharge gets us close to perma hasten as possible.
If your thinking of getting hover/fly i'd get rid of inertial reduction and superspeed and replace it with hover/fly. Travel powers is always a personal choice, but you won't be disappointed with inertial reduction and ss, Everyone will love you for inertial reduction, Especially the superspeeders during terra volta.
Hope that helped at all, its getting late and my eyes are shutting >_< -

It is a very good build, but its suited to imaginarys playstyle thats why its so good. I think you should play yours through see what your comfortable and maybe adjust powers, you may feel your lacking in range, or AoE. Like i said play around with what suits your playstyle. -
Congratz Ex, one of the best empaths out there, well deserved and well played as per usual
-
Anything but spines as primary, as spines is very tough at low levels because of the AoE, and lack of decent attack chain until high level.
For secondary i'd say ninjitsu, good defence and a self heal to fall back on. Regen ain't to good because of lack of defence as you'll end up out of hide quite a bit and essentially losing a lot of damage. -
Gratz matey, well deserved
Good luck with your next troller. -

/agree with EVERYTHING above, that idea is awesomez. -
I spoke to eden on test about this, a few of my SG work nights and can't make it on monday, so could we maybe organise a battle this sunday at 8? i can get a team of 8 from sanity for then.

Earth/force field controller.
Empathy defender.
ice/nrg blaster
ice/nrg tanker.
spines/sr scrapper.
I prefer earth to something like illusion, because of the great soft control. Quicksand can really screw up a team's movement aswell as defence. Knockdown for squishies earth rocks in PvP for control.
Hmmm for villains pentad.
Ice/cold corrupter
spines/sr stalker
energy melee/stone brute.
ice/nrg dominator
ninja/forcefield mastermind, maybe ninja/poison could be good to. -
Claws/DA is pretty sweet, they kinda balance each other, Dark armour is an endurance hog while claws is the lightest on endurance compared to other primaries. IMO you should give it a try and see how you find it, claws has some wicked attacks namely focus that attack rules
Assuming claws is getting a damage buff, i'll have to say that claws/da will be a great combo in issue 7, So give it a go, ask xironia the gimpy claws/da and the only level 50 one on defiant me thinks
-
I'm a firm believer that fire/nrg dominator will be lethal in PvE especially in solo, if you can stick it out till level 32 once you have imps, your all sorted. Energy assualt has highest damage out off all secondaries and fire is most damaging primary aswell as having reasonable control, you should be lethal in PvE, aswell as solo PvP. Try it out, fire imps are incredibly cool!

Super Reflexes in PvP and PvE imho. Highest Defence, practised brawler (un knockable status protection which includes KB protection) and quickness (res to slow)
Very good in PvP, ninjitsu is just as nice, but i don't like not having KB protection and being forced in acrobatics. I'd rather sacrifice the toys and self heal for quickness and extra defence.
Ninja blade/SR would be a nice combo, divine avalanche defence bonus stacked with SR's very high defence should be lethal in PvP.
Hmmm defence with divine avalanche with FS and hide is 54.9% (62.7% with dodge) and divine avalanche is stackable, that should be lethal to any scrapper/blaster, you can pretty much be eluded to melee with divine avalanche....*realises this rolls a ninja/sr stalker, ZOMG*
