Um rad/psi is more of a regen killer than kin/psi I'd say. The -regen component of transfusion has a really short duration, whereas lingering rad halts instant healing for a good while.
Oh yeah lucks wtfpwnz kinetics hehe! -
But they don't have have a build up, aim, or power boost? except an AoE recovery power-that sucks in PvP.
They have long animation time- sucks in PvP.
And iirc that psi shockwave doesn't have a high BI just lessly resisted in comparison to others, aswell as being a non target PbAoE easy to avoid as an opponent.- I'd rather take Blaze/Bitter ice blast/Thorn barrage/Power burst over that psi shockwave powr tyvm for PvP
However in PvE all of those things rock because their AoE. -
Grav=good Psi blast=bad
This is from a PvP view, however in PvE grav/psi dominators are perfectly fine. -
I don't have first hand experience with psi blast. However it is good when coupled with rad primary, rad/psi are pretty good in PvP and probably one of the best offensive defenders in duals. One of the main problems of psi blast however are the painfully long animation times. You should really note that defender damage is painfully low, but with psi's lessly resisted damage and rad debuffs it "could" be viable, just don't expect 3shotting squishies.

If you're going for high-level PvP, you should consider getting Invisibility in the build, since it's to a stalker what black is to an emo these days. (REF) I'd personally get more TH_Buffs to build-up to ease life against +def people. But that's just me.
Also, as blackbone pointed out, for PvP, claws is quite terrible (which is why I'm building a PvP Claw/EA stalker atm over at deviant), but it is probably the best set for a "scrapperish" stalker. People have done scralpers (is that the word?) with Claws/Regen, but not sure how it would work with /EA
[/ QUOTE ]
claws isn't terrible its a squishy killer from range, look at focus and shockwave, throw in a snipe from range. They'll have their uses. Definately not gimp.
I hate fighting claws stalkers with my stormy, focus is a nasty attack when it crits especially with the Knockdown.Throw in shockwave they can perma KB opponents, not to mention the repel resistance. -
My ice/cold will be an quite an offensive corrupter, while my fire/thermal will be very much team support, with the occasional blasts when opponents are at low health (for scrouge)

My gripe with fly is that its to slow for my liking and can be negated by a lot of powers...
There are a lot of -fly powers out there, aswell as fly is effected by slow powers to.
for example.A flyer (with ss) who is hit by snow storm has barely any escape, as your horizontal movement is extremely limited, and you no longer have that 360degree movement as you can no longer fly. Whereas with leaping you can still escape with SJ.
There are much less -jump powers in PvP aswell as leaping is a great back up power to have when slowed. As a squishy leaping pool also leads to acrobatics which imho i rate above the pool above flight.
Personally I find leaping pool is the best way to go for PvP.
But hey thats my 2 cents.
6 slotted hover was always great movement, but three slotted hover is just to slow unless you have power boost or AM or siphon speed. -
True dat, both melee attacks is overkill i guess, however if you hit them with bonesmasher it suppreses hide a little longer to tail them for another few attacks.
Follow key for the win! -
Keep Moving
If your soloing in a PvP zone, stay in the water you can see a stalker in the water.
Take insights.
Aim+BU bonesmasher energy punch blast=dead stalker. -

Perception doesnt bother me to much , a good stalker knows how to attack properly and from what angles..
[/ QUOTE ]
And theres your answer, perception or not a half decent stalker will still get his kills, you can pump your team mates all you want with clear mind, they'll still get you.
No you aren't forced to team, grant invis is handy but i'm not going to rely on it, Sure i'll lose a few kills but hey i'll still be getting a [censored] load of them, just by using criticals and placate. -
Completely true stalky. The regen on these AVs is HUGE, even spamming -regen from tranfusion isn't enough for these AVs. Lingering Rad is the key for these guys.
In the case of villains vs heroes, cold and rad corrupters, poison masterminds are needed. -
Dude......
Good Luck with what you do man. Been a great laugh teaming with you.
Better come back soon
Take Care!

It's really cool to see how many old skool players have stuck around in this game, as i for one recognise everyone here from the earlier days hehe!
-
Congratulations Hicks, really happy for you!!
Gorgeous name aswell! -
power build up= power boost + (a watered down) build up.
On corrupters DAMN it would be uber. *sighs* i expected to see power build up on villains aswell. -
dominators rock! anything with control primary rocks!
Shame about their secondary damage though its pathetic -
If your short on slots take them out of power bolt, it does such [censored] damage theres no point in even slotting it that much.
You can also take slots out of levitate i'm not sure how damage is without containment, but its definately useful as a control tool with the knock up.
Having said that about levitate good as a control tool, i'd get rid of power push. and replace it with something more useful, maybe sniper bolt.
I personally don't see a point in getting the single target confuse when you already have the group confusion. I would scrap the single target confuse and get something else aswell, maybe hasten?
As for power boost, its definately a keeper. One of the main reasons to go energy! You can just spam power boost a lot with your single target holds. If you have end problems slot 2 acc 1hold 2 recharge 1 end redux, and use power boost for duration. IF your hardcore and you can even go 2 accc 2 end redux and 2 recharge and use power boost as the duration for your holds -
you should see transference on defenders with power build up

SR for actual stalking. quickness is a very powerful power, for its res to slow. ALso SR has resistance to defence debuff which i believe ninjitsu lacks. not to mention KB protection.
Ninjitsu could be argued to have more suriviability because of the self heal. However I don't the fact it has no KB protection and being forced into leaping pool.
SR has better movement of the two in the form of quickness especially with the amount of slows going about, which is priceless for a stalker. -
If you team with a dominator a lot-ignite
If you solo, flamethrower.
I think ignite does more damage, especially now that it is buffable in i7, it should prove to be VERY powerful when teamed with a dominator.
I would go ignite and always get a dominator on team.
Fire/fire dominator + AR/kinetics= serious ownage in i7 PvE. -
If you solo a lot, air superiority is a good choice until epics, thereafter you can respec it out for one of the blasts in the epic pools.
Personally with soloing i think propel + your immobilze with containment is all the damage you need. I would only take air superiority if your going the fly route. -
yeah it is possible to stack disorients over mes protection as in the way of holds. The energy punch/bonesmasher/total focus combination will sometimes all give disorient status and therefore stun through mes protection. Hoever energy punch (and i think) bonesmasher sometimes will not stun, so stacking stuns with that combonination will sometimes not work. If your mindset is on stacking stun through mes protection it may be a good idea to get stun from energy secondary to help in stacking.
Also stacking power push and power thrust will not stack past acrobatics. I'm not sure how knockback protection works, but i don't think it is the same as mes's. It isn't possible to knockback someone with acrobatics up and running, without knocking acrobatics off. -
gutted i missed the fight, sounded fun.
What was the final score?
