I also have a Kin/Rad Def (First to 50 on Defiant!) and I'd recommend slotting Irradiate with Def-debuff. it's the strongest debuff in the game, and well slotted gives great results.
I picked Dark mastery and that also has an end drain attack so I dropped Stamina, and I can't say it's caused me too much bother at all.

What Okton said about irradiate, no it isn't strongest defence debuff in game. Er Dark Consumption does not do endurance drain, it does damage and recovers endurance.Power sink on the other hand drains opponents endurance and recovers the users endurance,
What role would you like to play in PvP, would you like to be an offender? or play proper support?
Personally I'd choose the latter option from experience, defender damage is to low.
Tell us what role you want to play and i'll hit you back with some advice -
Every time you use a break free hold suppression is reset.

Hehe! Yeah there was a LOT of heroes that night most of them were doing hotspots. Thats why i switched and logged on my stalker (Ghostserver) had fun ASing lots of people
I love being on the weaker side (normally when one side is outnumbered) its so fun hehe.

Edit: Sorry test is not up, live is back up now
-
Test server is currently down at the moment. Man that sucks.
-
And I am BORED, anyone up for some test server PvP?
Edit: arena that is -
Yeah true dat if he's throwing loads of abuse on broadcast, swearing etc petition it THEN open a can of wtfpwnage, I've never stuck anyone on /ignore

Day I leave PvP here, is the day i leave the game.

Leaving PvP because of social things? People like that are pathetic for actually letting other people get to them.
1. They win for getting you to leave.
2. You are letting people over the internet effect your enjoyment, this is sad and you shouldn't let it happen.

Basically agree with this totally
Oh and I believe I joined your team while that smack talk was occuring archelon, to be honest i would just ignore it completely and get on with opening a can of wtpfwnage on these tools -
Fire/fire or Fire/energy post level 32

Empathy is the only set that can make a really really really really [censored] team, actually viable. Think about those hollows missions, think about those AV missions just going wrong
I appreciate that. -
Fire/storm is incredibly fun, and its a rare combination. It does seriously insane damage, not to mention looks really nice. Only thing its a bit of an endurance [censored], bu thats mainly on storms part.
-
It doesn't do damage therefore doesn't interupt AS in recluses. Might do against ninjitsu because it does knockback..if they don't have acrobatics.

Had another thought on the bubble of doom
1 kinetic/electric defender
1 sonic/electric defender
2 ice/force field trolls
1 stone/ice tank
2 sonic/ice blasters
1 elec/elec blaster
Slows, drains, defense, resistance, speed.
Would take some co-ordination for everyone to stay together tho.
[/ QUOTE ]
You have more than 2 of an AT ( the blasters) also I think your team would be lacking in the high damage area to be honest. -

A Kin or even multiple is not going to keep an eight man team perma ID'd. Also, the person who gets TP'd can still move, they'll be out and round a corner while the Taunt is going off, be around a corner and have it broken already.
[/ QUOTE ]
Pffft i can keep a whole team perma IDed no problem and also able to stack ID on one of the blasters (freon) to run in and take the bubbler out.
Edit: Thats against one force bubbler. -
Right, in my build there are no tanks, the team i made is VERY aggresive, very high damage output as you can see. The regenners have taunt and so can act like tanks and take players out of the fight effectively with taunt. These regen scrappers can also work alongside the force fielder and sonic and take quite a few significant players out of the fight the mix of sonic cage detention field and taunt is an effective one. Also what i'm showing is that these regenners (who as you know have high surviability) will have high damage res against FoTM style attacks(energy melee mainly) aswell as high damage output. the primary of the regen scrappers could also be broadsword for more damage, however 2 spines/regen spiking with ranged impale is nasty. You guys do realise these spines/regenners have taunt, don't discount that! Sure its not AoE but I think its enough I could maybe even substiute in an ice/energy melee tank instead of a spines/regen as chilling embrace is very nice to have, as a slow.
I really don't think a team with a tank could take apart this team. They have very high damage aswell as nice defence.
I wouldn't have a granite tank on my team choice as its to defensive for my liking. I really think smart offensive play with this team will make it an effective one.
Arguably another team that could possibly rival my team would have 3forcefielders (2forcefield controllers, 1 forcefield defender) ..the one kinetic defender, and two spines/sr scrappers, along with the blasters.
That team would be a defence based team, and quite nasty aswell.
About sonic/nrg, yes that is a possibly a good choice, however my gripe with sonic is with the nerf of whirlwind the animations are nasty, also ice/energy has the highest DPS. Sonic/nrg and ice/devices duo would definately be workable though. -
One of the things i hate about my Katana/Dark armour scrapper is when Cloak of Darkness is running my katana disappears so i'm swinging around and hitting foes with nothingness.
-
Get Fiery Embrace.
A trick in warburg, is head into a mob of really weak (grey con) mobs. Hit soul drain, you'll then be running around with a huge damage boost for 30seconds, aswell as having fiery embrace, you should be ablet to kill a blaster in 3 attacks. Also take break frees in case a blaster toggle knocks then mez's you. -
hehe yeah leadership is probably the better choice, but I'm just taking MoG and energy torrent for the heck of it. MoG because its fun power, energy torrent because its an extra attack from range. Also I'm not really a fan of leadership on scrappers even though its a concept thing.
-
Happy Birthday Plight, you legendary n00b!

Look at alll them HOs, lucky git
Much like what i'm going for, but no leadership for me, i'm getting MoG and energy torrent -
SSG tricksters used that tactic in s4, they had names that said SSG defender when infact it was the tank.
-
This is an issue 6 team, if it were issue seven some changes would definately be made to my team
Yes the point about tanks. well the whole team will be at smashing/energy damage cap with a sonic/kin duo, so i presume you'd have a */em tank? Try scratching them with that much res damage. As for the scrappers they can play tanks with their taunt and damage res. Only difference is they have higher damage and range and well higher damage ftw. -
So from following on the best pentad teams which i was reading earlier I'd like to hear your opinions on the best team of eight. Yes I know it depends on player but lets assume all were of equal skill, and so builds had to be taken into context
Rules are maximum of two of each AT in team. This follows on from the test server fights.
I guess I'll go first then
Kinetic/*/Power defender
Sonic/Sonic/Mind defender
Mind/Forcefield/Psi Controller
Illusion/Empathy/Primal Controller (focus on healing and buffing)
Ice/energy/Ice Blaster
Ice/devices/Ice Blaster
Spines/regen/body Scrapper (with confront)
Spines/regen/body Scrapper (with confront)
I really think this team would be very hard to take down, having the ice/devices target caller for spiking. Hit them with webgrenade your taking away their movement with snowstorm and well as you know with know movement their done for. Ice/energy delivering the pack full of damage while also slowing the team.
The Spines/regens taunt targets and take them out of the fight while getting kills.
Ill/empathy healing buffing supplying needed heals/buffs
Kinetic buffing giving slow res for the whole team along with repel protection
Sonic providing great damage res, telekensis and caging any threats
Mind/ff doing causing hell for targets with telekensis force bubble and detention field. -
With a controller I'd say stamina is a necessity as your going to be spamming more powers from your primary and buffs from your secondary- not to mention as a controller you get transference way later, and with a pretty long recharge and chance to miss stamina is always a good safety blanket.
