Just you wait. I'm gonna get 20 of my friends, and we are so gonna kick your ***.
  3. I haven't read past the first page, because it's the same old argument over and over again. But the way I see it, a villain would take one of the following options:

1: Go to Paragon City, and run around yelling "OMG guys, Darrin Wade is going to steal the power of Rularuu and he's gonna eat the universe and we're all gonna die!!!!" Wait for heroes to rush off, en masse, to stop him. While they're occupied, steal everything that isn't nailed down.

2: Start trying to find out how Wade did it, so we can do something similar ourselves.

3: Break into Portal Corp. Find a nice dimension that Nemesis doesn't rule. Go there. Make popcorn.
  4. With a rock.

A multiversal rock that erases all alternate versions of Statesman from existence.

I didn't call you heroic. There is a reason I specified heroic. While villains might pursue power for its own sake, heroes do not. However, since the puddle is still rewarding those who do, heroes should still be resisting it.

Yes, because it goes around possessing people, and we have only Lady Grey's say-so to go on that it won't do the same to us.

It's also a jerk. There's that collective subconscious thing again.

I can kinda deal with that. It allows it to be the 'potential' thing, rather than an actual power giving deity thinger. And allows for all the origins (i.e. science explosions give powers rather than melting faces)
It also implies that humanity has gone insane, and thinks grasping at power is the only thing that matters. While this may be accurate, our heroic characters are supposed to be above that. So now we're not only beholden to a sentient insane puddle, said puddle is subject to a majority vote? Humanity subconsciously voted for Cole, and the only way we can get them to vote for us is to beat him up? Sorry, I don't want to play that game either.

It also amplifies the mess caused by the "one for each species" nonsense, since it becomes even more apparent that if the puddle doesn't cross species lines, it certainly shouldn't cross dimensional lines.

And oh yeah, another case of "if you do this I will kill you."

I think maybe they've read people's problems with the puddle, and are trying to "fix" it somehow. The thing is, you can't fix something that is broken at the core.

None the people really knew that the "barbarians" were betrayed and didn't really care because they were in economic crisis created by splitting the nation in half and because Rome was Rome, the center of the world and if it wasn't happening there then it didn't matter. If it wasn't happening to them it didn't matter. And you know those barbarians were, after all, barbarians... or as we would call them today, foreigners, so who cares about them.

They stopped caring which resulted in their infrastructure breaking down, their government not working, their economy not working, and really them becoming uneducated people in the center of the world of culture... It was all one big cluster that created a series of events that lead to Rome (part of it) to be sacked by Barbarians, but really eastern Rome really didn't have much longer to go when it was sacked... it was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
Yes, and history is repeating itself in many ways. Now when can we get to the sacking?

Although I suspect that if Harper keeps going the way he's going, with his lips firmly planted to American backside, there will be no sacking and I will be joining you in Denmark.

Well if you get that I want Shorts and Shorts with Tights 4: Booty edition. Basically the Disco shorts without the stockings, and with a higher waist.

Who wears short shorts? We wear short shorts.

I like the Disco bottoms, but it's rather limited because of the low "waistband." You either have to go with a bare midriff or wear one of the few belts that will cover the gap. So if we're going to have these low-waisted pieces, can we also have an version that goes all the way up to the waist, or at least make the waistline on them a little higher so we'll have more belt options?

So far it looks like, upon averaging out the answers, they're all over the place.

What side do you pick more than others?
Vigilante. I like villains conceptually but I really get tired of fighting Longbow and Arachnos all the time.

What play style do you prefer?
Trick myself out with IOs, set my difficulty as high as I can handle, and go kill massive swarms of stuff. I usually only team for TFs, my weekly static team, or with my husband and our RL friend.

What power set(s) do you favor?
Ooo, so many good ones, it's hard to choose. Fire Blast, very much Fire Blast. I also like Willpower and Storm Summoning, and there is that special place in my heart for Assault Rifle, the red-headed stepchild of powersets.

What zones do you like the most?
The Shadow Shard, although I rarely go there because there's nothing to do, and Striga.

Do you usually play as a male or female (word of hatred) ''toon''?
Usually female. I have a few males but I find it harder to make good-looking costumes for them, because so many of the pieces just don't look good to me when used on guys. I also hate most of the guy hairstyles.

    Views on Role Playing?
I generally don't, but if everyone else is doing it I'll play along.

    Servers?

    Champion, sometimes Freedumb.

When we killed or "killed" Ms. Liberty in the RSF he got angry too, but he was at least smart enough to bring his friends. He still lost. You would think he would have learned from that.

Well it took them seven issues to make it easier to use bases for what many players actually use them for, rather than what they were designed to be used for.

The Origin of Power nonsense came out ten issues ago. There were complaints about it then. Isn't it about time?

Ok...by "don't remove anything" do people really mean "leave that first thing in, even if you add a new pattern that is absolutely identical except for the higher resolution?" My beef is that the "new and improved" items that have replaced legacy pieces in the past were not identical. Rather than just making the piece higher resolution, the designers felt the need to "improve" it in some way, which some people didn't consider an improvement. Or is this just the devs erring on the side of caution?

I'm seriously curious here, because if the pattern in that first image were sharpened up but otherwise left the same, I see no reason to keep the original around.

For example, if I already defeated Ubelmann and he's dying in prison, why do I hear other players talking about going after him? Every major NPC defeat during arcs has this problem, and there are some that die or are removed completely somehow. I don't see how the "States still in IP" situation is any different.
Yes, but the devs didn't make a big deal about taking Ubelmann out of the game. They hyped up that whoever died would be Gone For Good, and would be removed from the game world, so of course people were disappointed when that didn't happen.

Am I the only person who likes Rularuu? Yes, I died a lot. Shut up. The eyeballs cheat. I'm not saying I'd want to fight them all the time, but come on, they have giant floating eyeballs and creepy alien psi guys and weird deformed critter things, and they don't need big spiky shoulder pads to make sure you remember they're supposed to be scaaaaary.

Anyway....when Statesman's life flashed before his eyes, Recluse was there but Miss Liberty, his daughter, wasn't. And States, in his dying moments, went from thinking about Recluse to thinking about his dead wife. Discuss.

T-shirts. With some texture and folds, maybe, but at least showing some sign of substance and stretching all the way down to the pants.

    Thanks.
The female belly shirts have the same "painted-on" problem as the male t-shirts. The only one that doesn't is the tank top, and that's a newer piece.

And this is more of a UI issue, but would it be possible to implement a "tops with skin" category for male models? The tights category is getting pretty cluttered since all the "with skin" options are thrown in there.

Nit-pick: He does not specifically tell you that he is Rulu-shin. He just says he thinks Rularuu is a really cool guy. He wrote a book about them, and usually people don't write books about cults of dimension-devouring godlike entities if they themselves belong to said cults. There are multiple ways to approach the Rularuu issue, if you're a creepy villain in black who is planning on standing there and laughing maniacally when the world is devoured and then be all surprised and "but...it wasn't supposed to be this way!" when said godlike entity turns to you with a hungry look in its ginormous eye.

I'm not actually disagreeing with your point though, just nit-picking at it.
