  1. Use a map that only allows two "back" options. Those tend to have a small back area, so they'll probably be in the same room. Then use /WP or /SR as your "natural" tanker sets, for +perception.
  2. Is Earthquake available to custom critters? Its def debuff is unresistable.

I'd go with an Earth/Rad either way, Quicksand and Rad Infection are both autohit and Earth gets a pet, which I believe have a to-hit bonus, and I think the Earth pet's powers also debuff defense.
  3. I played this arc quite a while ago, from what I recall it was a fun premise and nicely executed. I really liked the contact, if I'm thinking of the right arc.
  4. I second #4, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, and 18.

I would also like to add:

An "escort to object" objective, where you must lead the escort to an object within the mission. (example: the Oracle in the ITF)

A "teleport upon defeat" option for bosses, where the boss teleports away when defeated (example: Antimatter). Also an option to have a boss objective complete at a certain level of health, rather than needing to defeat the boss completely. Both of these options would allow for a required boss who escapes, without failing the mission.

An option to defend an object or critter from multiple waves of enemies, such as in the Terra volta respec trial.
  5. Triggered blinkies are already there when you load the map, they just can't be interacted with until the triggering objective is completed.
  6. I want the deathstars. And the Sky Raider base, turrets included.

I tried it again just in case and it's working now...might have been something wrong earlier, because it took three tries to get the arc to republish (I had to move a blinky), the local files didn't want to let me test them, and I mapserved twice trying to clean up the villain group file.
  8. Well, apparently taking screenshots doesn't work in test mode. Now I have to try to actually fight team-sized spawns of Malta and Knives with my graphics turned up beyond what my machine can comfortably handle, and try to get some decent shots while moving in super slow motion every time someone throws a web grenade at me.

There's might be a moral there somewhere, something about the last minute and doing stuff before it....

Coke Zero is an abomination, insidiously trying to force itself on Diet Coke drinkers by convincing people that it's the "real" Diet Coke. Some places are starting to carry it instead of Diet Coke. IT'S NOT THE SAME THING.

    Softcappers

    DB/SR, DM/SD.

    AR/Fire, Arch/Dev, Kat/Inv, Clawns/Nin, Widow.

Soft Cap does, much like Peter Griffin when he had diplomatic immunity.

No it isn't. I got a level 54 Mother Mayhem when set to +2 during i16 open beta.

The 42-45 version is the original Nosferatu from Maxwell Christopher's arc, the 45-54 version is from Viridian's arc.
  12. I would like the Sewers to Caves transition map from Gordon Bower's "Defeat all Tuatha in Sewers" mission.

Also, all the maps from the Ouroboros arcs, including the outdoor maps from Twilight Son's arc, the CoT map from Twilight Son's arc, and all the maps from both of Silos's arcs.

Considering that most, if not all available enemy weapons require unlocking, I would bet any new ones they add will also require unlocking.
  14. I'm still considering entering "Freaks, Geeks and Men in Black" for best Heroic; even a slim chance of recognition is better than none, right?

    This.

Before the new difficulty settings, non-farmers would very rarely run into the cap on the smaller maps, unless it had a few bosses and the RNG was kind and gave you tickets on each one. Now, you can, very easily.
  16. Welcome Dr Aeon!

I look forward to being a massive pain in your neck in the months to come. If you break it, I'll be pestering you about it.

Can I have captives in timed missions again?
    How about now?
    Now?
    Are we there yet?
  17. I don't want to commit to another team, but if it's a casual thing I'll go roll up a buffing Defender of some kind on Triumph, so if I feel like joining you guys I can at least be somewhat useful.
  18. The Praetorian AVs in Tina's arc (Antimatter, Bobcat, Neuron) definitely go lower than 48, since it's a level 40-45 arc.

Yesterday, running Deadalus's arc with a team of 44s, set to +4, we encountered a level 52 Ghost Widow. Lowering our diff to +0 dropped her down to 44 or 45.
  19. Why doesn't the Invul just take confront? Isn't it auto-hit?
  20. The first one, yes, you can write off as "connection issues, everyone DCs, sucks to be you." However, I too have completed Task Forces and not received merits, along with several of my teammates, even though no one DCd and we all got the badge. If a task is supposed to give certain rewards, it should give those rewards every time, and if you don't get some of those rewards even though the game acknowledges you completed the task, you have a valid complaint.

Also I have never had a GM show up to help with a Task Force that could not be completed due to a bug until long after we'd gotten tired of waiting and either disbanded or logged out to reset the mission, or in one case of Dr Todd in the Moonfire TF (who was refusing to follow the team out) after she'd died of boredom, failing the mission but letting us continue with the TF.

Could be that nobody thought it was necessary since the mission used to make it quite obvious where you needed to go.

Although now that I think of it I don't recall if there was a waypoint on the map after all, since the waypoint was inside the cave minimap. There was a door indicator though, I'm sure of that.
  22. Um, wasn't there a waypoint for the safe that leads you right to the cave door? I think there's a map waypoint too, if you have "special" turned on. If there's no waypoint, you should /bug it.

    Single Boss?

Yeah the only problem is 1: I think the ally will not fight unless you're in range, unlike a Rogue boss, and 2: you can't set defeating the ally as a mission objective, so unless your map is very linear you can't ensure the player will encounter them.

Personally I would like rescue of the ally to be added as an option for ally betrayal conditions. Wouldn't solve the problems I mentioned but it would make the betraying ally possible on maps that allow limited captives.
  24. During i16 open beta, I went into a mission set to +2 and got a +4 Mother Mayhem AV. I was level 50, so it had something to do with the difficulty settings. When I reset to +0 she was 50, as she should be.
  25. You can't tell whether I can see your custom powers or not, so what does it matter to you? On the other hand, it might save people some eye strain during large-scale events like zone invasions and mothership raids, where you can't just kick someone with a hot pink sonic bubble.

I would honestly like far more customizable "do not see" options for a lot of the game's graphics. There comes a point where "flashy and cool" crosses the line into "so much flashy I can't see anything but."
