duo'd him? Sweet. Wonder who will be the first to solo him?
[/ QUOTE ]we weren't the first to duo him, though with Invincibility running and all those minions i was tanking him comfortably until Bodybag showed up to debuff him so we could get the kill. -
Get a kinetics Corrupter, teaming with Scanevil and getting lots of speed boost we charged through missions like crazy with the blue bar barely moving and the SMASH! bar always around the 95% mark. When she left we were forced to use all those blues we'd been hoarding all afternoon.
Brute + Corrupter is an amazing team, Rad and Kinetics will help alot with endurance. Dark, Thermal and Traps will all help reduce/repair the damage. -
Haha got revenge today. Got both Hammerdown and Hammerhead badges for it
Took down The Ghost of Scrapyard with Bodybag (34 Fire/Rad Cor) and me (31 EM/Inv Brute) -
Take 2 of the slots off Super Speed, its fast enough with only one. I'd stick them in hasten. 3 slots in there is much more useful.
Take 2 sltos out of resiliance it really isn't worth slotting that much. i didn't check but if you have some 5 slotted attacks shift those slots there. -
My thoughts.
6 Slotting any power with the same type of enhancement with ED in place is a waste. When ever you have more than 3 of the same enhancement take the excess away.
Attacks, slot for acc, recharge and damage as well as end red.
Bone Smasheer, Total Focus and Energy Transfer all want six slotting. Something along the lines of 1xAcc, 1xRecharge, 1xEndRed, 3xDamage -

So Mud pots wouldn't help generate fury either?
Damn, I've really messed this build upToo much like a Tanker when I should be thinking/building like a Scrapper.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't worry its still useful, the damage done by the aura is increased with fury. But the arua itself doesn't increase fury. However it does cause aggro, which makes fury. But unless you have been buffed to the limits don't expect to be able to tank (to any degree) -

[ QUOTE ]
the best way to boost up your fury? a */fire or */dark armour brute. find a large group, jump into them with your PBAoE toggle attack, and dish out the pain!
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm pretty sure I remember reading patch notes in beta saying auras weren't supposed to build fury, and that was being removed... gonna test that and report back.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep 100% right only click attacks generate fury -
Rad/Dark Corruptor or Dark/Rad which ever way it goes round
Things not you through acc debuffs still builds rage, reduced DEF and of course accelerate metabolism.
Teamed Dr. Nocturnal (aka Empath) better end recovery and faster attacks through AM taking less damage because of debuffs. Made life almost too easy! -
Where as Invuln tanks can be the shiny disco ball for the new years eve party

regen 'was' better, and still works (with healers). If any brave soul wants to take over, so i can be more active in the raid then feel free to ask.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd be more than happy to do the taunting, if you fancy a change. I got DP on 3 recharge and 3 Heal, so it's pretty much perma with hasten (even in it's busted form). Anyway, it'll give me a reason to go on the "Xmas Raid" as well!
[/ QUOTE ]
Everything i've seen sofar would suggest an invuln tank would be best for tanking Hami now. The number of empaths needed to keep a regen scrapper alive would have an easier job with a tank. DP giving self heal and higher HP should make the job easier. -
[ QUOTE ]
I don't think brutes have auto-taunt, do they?
[/ QUOTE ]
Certainly not in the same way as Tanks have Gauntlet. But if i use Whirling Hands (PBAoE attack) i get alot more attention off mobs for a while. Generaly attacking mobs will get them to turn on you but it doesn't do the AoE taunt like Tank punch-voke. -

Stone/SR tanker
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be unbeatable, couldn't do alot of damage with only mudpots and brawl but Granite Armor + Elude at the same time would be funny -
[ QUOTE ]
I don't know about that.having teamed regularly with a few regens, and big mob can take their health down pretty quick, indeed I've seen a few Regen's lying face down with 'ARGH, Missed my click!' written above them.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is why we have Epic pools, Torrent in Darkness or Body Mastery pools sends things flying so you spread the group out and stagger the alpha strike. Before then you've soloed 1-41 in 2 days because everyone else is too slow. -
[ QUOTE ]
to try to accually reply to you question ( as everyone else seems to have missed the point) rage is a power in the SS pool,
[/ QUOTE ]
Note:
[ QUOTE ]
My rage has built upto a quarter and I'm then having to rest as all my defences are down and no end to hit anything with.
[/ QUOTE ]
Unless i'm wrong Super Strength/Rage doesn't build up, its there or its not. The OP was after Fury which Synaesthetix pointed out. -
[ QUOTE ]
I would only advise playing regen if you are happy clicking a self-heal power every 30 seconds or so. It is the best one for hit and run tactics and tends to act reasonably well against all enemy types.
[/ QUOTE ]
Running is for blasters. Regen gets revive so you don't need to run away to die. -
[ QUOTE ]
Of course, the occasional team wipe, due to taking it a bit too far does happen
[/ QUOTE ]
A small price to pay. The pile of bodies you leave in your wake should cusion the fall -
Tried both and i would say if you intend to solo lots get regen. Downtime is less so you don't sit around waiting for health/end to recover. Downside if you come up against very hard hitting mobs you go down fast.
In a team howver Invuln can be more useful, it will survive the alpha strike alot better than regen and if theres a defender nearby you're laughing. If you are soloing with this you'll probably have some times where you need to sit and wait for health and end to recover before you move on -

SS = Smash damage = widely resisted. I'd go with EM/Inv or EM/DA.
[/ QUOTE ]
But does it look as cool, or make as much noise?
NO!
[/ QUOTE ]
YES! Whirling Hands! Jump and spin looks so cool especially if you time it to kill an enemy to level up glowing hands and level up fireworksand its good for getting aggro to build up fury.
And as Wilf said EN is doing EN/S damage so less resists than SS -

P.S I like the quote of me saying that Im an idiot in the chat box in that pic lol
[/ QUOTE ]
lol you maybe an idiot but at least your a living idiot, i'm a corpse -
[ QUOTE ]
Anyone know if taunt counts as a click attack for purposes of fury buildup?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, was mentioned by a Dev during Beta. -

and the nerf of CoF.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a bug. I think all fear powers have been affected.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think hes on about the reduced accuracy or hit rate or what ever the last change was to CoF -

I remember fighting him with you once in beta, we got pulped. -
EM/Inv is cool, though with Temp Invuln and Unyielding running you do look like a disco ball
