Subbing Nerve Core Paragon for Agility Core Paragon (desired Alpha tree), since that'll show the Defense buffs. just below 32.5% SLEN Def without it, above it with. The Recharge will give Hasten about 5 sec downtime, and Drain Psyche about 10 seconds downtime. Capped HP with minimal bleed over after Accolades. Dunno, seems solid, yet still affordable.
Thoughts on round 2?

Keep the SG as a cottage. It's disgustingly cheap to maintain now. Just get hooked into global channels.

Off the top of my head, a Tarantula Lt/Boss has access to Scramble Thoughts, which is Psi and a nasty DefDebuff.
Quote:I am just curious if a DM/EA stalker would be better with the upcoming changes.
Since it's 3 attacks for a 100% Crit... MG>Smite>SL>AS... repeat ad nauseum? And you'd still have a flat 10% crit chance on the other 3. Maybe best to go for the 66% and cycle MG>SL>AS... -
Drop the code block in, so we can import the build, and you should be able to receive some feedback.
-
I'm big on Defense, I was just hoping I could try an APP other than Scorpion... have a Dark/Cold Corr that I specc'd out recently, leveraging that Power Pool. however, it does seem that it is the best CoA to take. i'll play with the build some more when I get a chance.
-
I would lean against Dark/Fire or /Mental, since both of those secondaries appreciate being in melee, and the delicious cones of Dark/ prefer you remain out of melee for max coverage.
-
Quote:Amusingly, the A-10's proper designation is Lightning II, not Warthog... it's just that f-ugly-utiful. Agreed though, P-38 is my Favorite of the Propeller Warbirds, and it's a tough call between the A-10 and the F-14 for Jet Birds.I agree completely. The Lightning and the A-10 are my two favorite military aircraft. I don't know why, but to me they seem much cooler than something like a Spitfire or F-22.
Quote:I agree. I like stalkers, but the devs made the right call here. TW does not feel stalkery at all.
Nothing quite so SMASH! as a DB/Stone Brute twirling pirouettes in Granite. Nor stolid and unyielding as an SR/MA Tank...
To the OP, I agree that the set is fantastic... but until it gets proliferated to Stalkers, I'll not be buying it. I'm not encouraging arbitrary restrictions for non-sensical conceptual reasons. I avoid Virtue and insanely restrictive RP for a reason. -
Was trying to hit 32.5% SLE, so I'd be in range via purple... dinnae really do it though, so was more wondering how to better hit that. Apologies for not being clear. I'd like not to rely on Scorpion Shield if possible, since I've got a toon with it, and with 8 different epics I'd like to try them all.
After the 32.5%, wanted to buff HP for better DP, then just grabbed convenient bonuses where I could. This guy is intended for teaming, so he doesn't need to be super-sturdy on his own. -
-
Quote:My DM/EA Brute from before sets got buffed agrees with this. It's even truer now.This. I can't believe how good it is for buzzsaw types. DM/EA is nearly designed to go together.
I mean, the strength of the set is that it gets you extra recharge for every enemy around you, plus of course the -tohit to help defense, plus constantly healing yourself with Siphon Life on top of Energize...
Super easy to get massive recharge, unlimited endurance, two heals, etc. It's just an amazing pairing. Yeah, you lack aoe unless you slot up soul drain as an attack and grab an epic/patron aoe, but you can spam your single target attacks very quickly, and they animate fast. -

Scrapper actually takes Hasten, and you'll have to slot to run it, but you'll want the added recharge to get CS back more, for higher opportunities to get a Crit.
Also, forgot to mention the Theft of Essence: +End Proc... slot that puppy into Dark Regeneration, get surrounded, profit. -
Quote:Wait, you don't leave Taunt Aura's on when Stealthing through missions?well, 10' is right on top of the mob. I use a +stealth for running through missions like an idiot, but I normally try to not get nearer than a guestimated 3x what I need for KO Blow. Depending on the mob type, map layout, and luck this sometimes works like a dream or is just gonna be "let me pull the entire map right here so we can get this over with..."
-
Claws/*** is good.
-
Yay... another farm thread. Look through the rest of the boards and copy-pasta from those.
-
Quote:Claws is tasty with all sets. Fire, Elec, Dark all enjoy the +Damage of Follow-Up. Will and Invuln like Spin. Energy, SR, and Regen all appreciate the soft control. Stone likes leaving the ground.Cant make my mind...
I re-rolled my main, a MA/FA scrapper into Stj/FA brute, because I loved /FA but its better in brutes and wanted to avoid to things:
Redraw
Another SS/FA brute
So, my questions are:
1. Its going to be a mistake not rolling a Claws/FA brute?
2. Its going to be far better than my current Stj/FA? I havent seen many builds posted at forums so far, looks like a weird combo since SS is so awesome.
3. Can I have any suggestions for Claws secondary, like /ElA? -
Regen Tissue Proc is a waste, it'll get drowned out.
Slot SL as an attack first, and then for healing. Use as often as possible.
Slot as many sets of Kin Combat as you can afford/are comfortable with.
Gaussian's is *** for Willpower, it gives 1.25% Defense vs all types for 6 slots? Pass.
Don't slot for Fire/Cold Def set bonuses... they'll be covered by your S/L Def and your Regen generally (few pure Fire/Cold attacks in game). -

Don't take Hasten, use Perf Shifter Proc's, and slot all attacks for EndRed.
I'd lean towards Scrapper over Brute with that combo, since the stacking of stuns/OG and/or CoF works on both, but the Scrapper will have better damage and get better results from Siphon Power over the Brute, resulting in better DPE... but the Brute does have a taunt aura to keep the mobs close, and the higher HP sack. One moment... -
Shameless self-bump and moderation bait.
I know it's less resilient than TwoHeadedBoy's, but a differing perspective would be useful. Only blasters I've ran before were an all-Range AR/Nrg Concept, and an Ice/Elec for PvP... so pretty different from the generalist teaming PvE build I'm trying here. -

So yeah, I won't be on Beta any more. I'm willing to risk an hour or so for small updates but I'm not turning my AV protection off for a day to download the whole Beta client. -

I'm in... little nervous though, since I didn't die last time.
