Well, sign me up on Team 2, I'll lead it as well.
Operative Caboose - Huntsman -
Quote:Man, PC_Guy, you're a bundle of helpfulness. Maneuvers give little benefit, since I ain't running defense otherwise; Freeze Ray I have, and 'tween CJ/SS I've got 8 pts KB Pro, so no need for SJ, and Defender Total Focus requires 2 pre-req powers. Assault I am debating on, but viably only see it replacing Mutation.

Anyhow, thanks all for the assist, I'll tinker and let ya know how it works. -
Hrm... so, enlighten me then... What the **** is the definition of an offender? I was under the understanding that an "offender" is a Defender who plays more like a Blaster, using Primary less for team support directly, and instead trying to kill things... or do Defenders "arrest"?
Confusion in definitions aside (this being only my second Defender, first being a Dark/Rad parked at 38 or so), slotting seems to be solid then, since the only feedback I got was on AM and Radiant Aura. AM is 5 slotted, and RA 4 slotted until 50... I couldn't think of anywhere else decent to throw those last 3 slots. Ideas?
And dinnae specify, but the TF's I've been leveling in, were minimum member TF's, and then just duoing it with a Storm/Ice. So it's worked rather well 'tween the two of us. -
So... got this lil' offender I've been leveling via TF's and have up to 23 now. I started poking together a build on him, and came up with this:

Oooh, sounds good to me. I'd try to make either time. Good luck with that!

Quote:Eh, to be honest, I've just signed onto the IB2 revolution, so hadn't gotten a feel for it yet, however AE Anon and IBS did tend to be more blue-side.Really? I mainly announce redside or coop things on IB and IB2
All the globals are pretty busy, really depends on the player moods. Most of us share a majority of channels and float to where the conversation is greater. As long as you're on a few of the major channels, you won't miss a TF/SF. We tend to spam all channels in our list when something is starting. -
I'd recommend "Infinity Badges 2.0", "AE Anonymous", "Inf Badge Seeker", and if you are redside, there's this upstart channel, "Infernals" that is for the same thing. The first 3 have a heroic slant on activities and teams, not a bad thing, just a direction they go.

But I wanna bring mah uber-leet Ice/Fiery Dom!
-
There's this embryonic global channel called "Infernals" that is for red-side teaming and Strike Forces. Feel free to join up!
-
-
TLDR: Red-side teaming/TF's - Use "Infernals"!
So, since there's been a few comments a queries and whatnot as of late, I've gone and made a new Global Channel for red-side players: "Infernals". I realize that there are many channels out there already that are "dual-faction", but this is being organized as a Villain-centric channel. It is public, and ya ain't silenced immediately on joining, so feel free to pop in and say "Hi." Or lurk, and plot to overthrow me... either or. Also, I'll be looking to help mscats with her Saturday TF endeavors, and I'll be starting something up evenings during the week. -
Random pithy comment from random newcomer who found thread from a link... and will never read again.

*slow, golf clap for the Devs for leaving the level 54 Malta spawns in St. Martial*
They're cleaned up now... suppose it was our responsibility to kill them all afore we went to Warburg, and not the Devs' fault they forgot to despawn them from a zone 14 levels lower?
*shakes head* -

Had to find the Celeb at the point, and fight off the lvl 54 waves of Malta (first with an AV), while escorting them to WB. Once into WB, had to escort them to the Launch Computer (where ya actually launch rockets).
Was an interesting event, but it did serve to highlight two issues on how I13 PvP failed.
1. There was a lot of surprise and or shock at the PvE/PvP powers change when we went into WB. Several melee toons went from mainstays to useless, owing to the differences in mez protection. It doesn't make PvP easier or more newbie friendly if the powers you've learned for 30+ levels completely change in effect and affect. Also, was an interesting wrinkle in bringing it to a FFA PvP zone, since we needed more than one team to make it through the NPC ambushes... but had no way to prevent friendly fire once out of the confines of the starting base.
2. Many people both during event and after commented that they'd have brought a different character had they known it was going to be PvP. If this event was to expose more players to PvP, it could have been better presented, CoH/V has little or no history with PvEvP activities on a large scale (zones are deserted enough that Shivan and Rocket Hunting are a trivial exercise). Also, while I appreciated and actually enjoyed the short notice, more clarity in directions or goals could have been useful.
All in all, I had a blast doing it, and would look forward to more little "events" as such in the future, just feel the execution could have been handled better. Thanks for the fun.
Oh, and Zombie Apocalypse + level 54 Gyrfalcon and Malta = PAIN... challenging, but pain. -

On Darkness Chills, looking for any other who'd like to gain a marker by saving some idiot Carnie.
