Health is one of the last things I slot up, especially on as slot-hungry of a build as Fire^3 Brutes are. Most of your healing is NOT going to be coming from the passive of Health, but instead from Healing Flames. I would ensure that all attacks you are using are 1Acc/1EndRed/3Dam afore slotting Health, and that all armors are soft-capped out (3 SO's worth).
If you feel it's worth it, go for it, but I'd see more mitigation in tossing those two slots elsewhere, e.g. Scorch for a Dam, and GFS for an EndRed or Consume for an EndMod. -
-
Maybe a little more balanced? Remember, try to cap out the prime abilities for each power, and then fill in the rest with what's needed. General rules of thumb - 1 Acc, 3 Dam in attacks, 3 Resist/Defense in toggles. Liberally sprinkle EndRed, and then slot Recharge. 3 Rech in any long timered clicks.

Quote:That is correct. Subscriptions earn one Token per month, once they sort out awarding them (currently not working exactly right). Thanks, Linea. I'll have to look again for that license.
My information is coming fromParagon Wiki which seems to state the opposite. It explicitly says that monthly stipend points DO NOT count toward the 1200 needed for a token and that "VIP Players are given one Reward Token per month of paid subscription time after Freedom launches."
The only other way to earn Paragon Reward Tokens is by purchasing points from the Paragon Market. You earn one Token for your first purchase from the Market, and then you earn additional Tokens at a rate of 1 per 1200 points purchased (to include points from the initial buy, and any bonus points awarded from bulk purchasing)
Examples:
First time purchase of 400 Points: $5 cost, earn 1 Token for 1st purchase
First time purchase of 1200 Points: $10 cost, earn 1 Token for 1st purchase, gain 1320 Points, earn 1 Token for buying 1200 Points.
First time purchase of 8000 Points: $100 cost, earn 1 Token for 1st purchase, gain 9600 points, earn 8 Tokens for buying 9600 Points.
Purchasing 4000 Points after having purchased 400 points: $50 cost, gain 4600 Points, earn 4 Tokens for buying 5000 Points.
Hope this clears up things. -
Just about anything with good AoE Debuffs/Strong Team Buffs or AoE Aggro Control.
So, AoE Support Corruptor/Defender or Team Support Corruptor/Defender... AKA most any of them.
Or a Tank/Brute/Scrapper (Scrapper with Taunt/Damage Aura). Again, most any of them.
Hell, even a strong Control Dominator would be good... or a Ranged Pets Mastermind...
I think that means most anything would be decent. -
I like the increased Crit Mechanic from Build-Up... how about this?
Berserk - 15 Sec Duration, 135 second Recharge (increased Duration and rech by 50% over Build Up) - The Broadsword is a mighty weapon, and your training allows you to show your foes JUST how much damage it can deal. After channeling your strength, your next attack will be a Critical, and for the duration of the power, all other Broadsword attacks have a chance to critical.
100% crit with next attack, then a flat +20% (adjustable, of course) critical chance for the duration of the buff. Identical +Damage and +ToHit of Build Up otherwise. No penalty. And have this Crit chance apply to Brutes/Tanks as well, with it being ADDED to Scrappers Crit chace (can we mechanically do that?) so they'd have a 25% vs. minions, and 30% vs Lt+ mobs.
Main catches I see... How to adjust/mod/balance for Stalkers (giving them Build Up doesn't address the issue BS has), is it possible to stack the Crit chance/give Crits to NON-Scrapper AT's, and what percentage would be... Fair? -
I used Level 30 IO's, so you can swap them out for SO's if you know you'll be going Premium, but there's a basic set-up for it. Sets would be a little more complex, and depend on how you wanted to build it.

See... as far as I understand... Poison is supposed to be a strong ST debuff set... Which it is. It got buffed recently to alolow for a little AoE, but it's primary design is still a ST debuff.
So, seems to me to be WAI.
[Troll] And it seems the cries of "Buff Poison" are "Wah!" [/troll] -

Quote:For some reason, I kinda thought the lack of Developer attention to MM's was a good thing...At the risk of sounding bitter...
MM's have the set for years and ask for attention and get zilch.
The set is proliferated and now all of a sudden there are rumors of attention.
Go figure. At any rate, hopefully there is change in the not too distant future now that archetypes that get attention have access to it.
And yeah, you sound viciously bitter. -
This is why I refer to Regeneration (powerset) as Self-Empathy. Willpower IS what Regeneration wants to be.

Eh, need the base badge for badge-hunting regardless. Plus, Eran is enough of a Liability as is without it being a Master run. Yay, SO's?
-
So, debating between Energy, Psychic, or Radiation for a Traps Corr.
Not explicitly looking for shenanigans (e.g. AV/GM Soloing et alia), but looking for something that won't have me hating my life.
Rest of the Blast sets are discounted either because I already have a Corr with it, or with Sonic, the wife has a Sonic/Traps and I'd like not to clone hers.
However, if there's an overwhelming reason to go with one of the other Primaries, I am willing to listen to reason. -
It's gotten quiet. I figured your return would help herald additional drama/conversations!

Quote:Intriguing... What did we miss?Sometimes yes, sometimes no. The largest global difficulty change made to the game in the last four years went totally unnoticed. What people perceive and not perceive is something very difficult to predict. They claim to notice things that didn't happen, and would have been too small to notice if they did happen, then fail to notice things apparently so obvious if you said people wouldn't notice you'd get laughed at.
That's not specifically a comment on the diminishing suggestion itself, just a comment on what the playerbase actually notices and doesn't notice. -
Welcome back, Screwloose! Enjoy, the game is fantastic!

Quote:Those swords of questionable parentage are also referred to as Hand-and-a-Half Swords. So that name could work, however then there'd be the potential issue of people calling for a 1 or 2 Handed Wielding Mechanic, and the possible issue of animating the different stances/grips.Going off the animations of just Broadsword, they would imply a more Longsword like technique or use that I was erroneously connecting to "Broadswords" when the definition between the two is (apparently) significant. There's also the likelihood that you really couldn't use the term "******* Sword"* for a verging Super-Hero MMO.
*Edit: See, it even gets blipped off the forums despite the fact I'm referring to a literal term for a specific weapon. -
Quote:Agreed, someone missed the point of the thread.I am a 6ish year vet and a total NOOB at posting on the forums. I was looking for some help with my WM/EA to see if anyone else had discovered exactly how PRETTY and STRONG this build was and I stumbled upon this thread....and heinous page after page of grade school-esque comments, and no help whatsoever on the build, with the exception of Dr. Holy and Kioshi. I naively thought the forums were here to actually help people, but, wow, I definitely got an education on that. I'm going to try to post my build here and hope that others that want anything but the FotM toon will be encouraged to try something new and FUN and PRETTY and STRONG, even though they MAY get ridiculed. This toon is a beast...I have mostly soloed with her, but team play has been wonderful as well. I spared no expense because I could...and hat's off to Mr.Playskool for starting this thread....even though he had to read page after page of ridicule. Grow up people!!!
Soooooo.....omg War Mace + Energy Aura soooooo strong!!! and PRETTY! (fyi: I was mostly looking for PRETTY!!!)

I understand that... but the Katana wasn't/isn't a left-handed weapon.
It can be used as such, but the vast majority of techniques, strikes, and any formal school uses it as a Right dominant weapon... even for y'all Southpaws. -
Boxing was taken, just too low, somehow. Swap Boxing and Combat Jumping and you're good.
