This is making it so there is no reason for level 3s not to team with 50s (which is something that may not happen often because of the hassle of organizing sks). I dunno, maybe I am just cynical, but I kind of like that people of near the same level teamed together and then sked friend's if they needed to. Now I just forsee a bunch of lower levels trying to get on high level teams. This is an option I would definitely use sometimes (read as ITF, lgtf, respec trials, ozone tfs or anything with a large level spread), but would like it to be optional to turn on and off, not automatic.

Benefits and drawbacks I suppose. The difficulty changer is awesome though!
I really don't see this "automatic" thing being that big of a problem. After all, even though (as an example) an extreme lowbie is auto-SK'd up to 49, it's not like that lowbie has any extra powers, slots or enhancements -- they are still gimped (relatively speaking). And right NOW people use the bridge to max out the SKs' XP; this is simply removing the ability to exploit the SK system that extremely.

I think I've personally liked each and every tidbit they've thrown out so far. I will add the proviso that we need to see this stuff in action on live, with everyone (**cough**Masque**cough**) trying their best to break it, until we really know whether it's all good or not. But so far I'm pretty excited for these QoL changes!

They already did -- from the 8/4/09 Patch Notes (http://www.cityofheroes.com/news/pat...00907162t.html):

Global Chat Channels will no longer change colors randomly upon zoning.

The game keeps track of it for you, right up in your Nav bar.

Edit: oh ya 1 more question do these points restart everytime a new cycle starts?
Yes, they do. You have to get the 1,000 points all during one cycle (which can sometimes be quite a challenge).

    Mission help?

LL is right -- fly or walk up and find the opening upstairs that gets you inside. The rest of the mission occurs in there.

(I was going to point him to the wiki, but I don't see any references to the navigation difficulties there.)
  8. Ah, so that's it. Thanks, Frost, I stand corrected. Sorry Aggelakis, I should have known you had your ducks in a row.

The wiki moved to the Titan Network some time back. My understanding is that the site you linked to is no longer being maintained (no idea why it hasn't been shut down).
  10. All Wolves have counted for years now, and each individual enemy, regardless of rank, counts for ONE credit toward the 200 required.

To the OP, the easiest way I've found to do this is to bring a 50 along and have him/her kill Wolves in The Bog area until night cycle begins, and then switch to Vampyri. Both badges can usually be obtained in 2-4 repititions (the bigger your team, the faster it goes).

Sorry, let me clarify a bit more. I've had the "click to move" feature disabled from the start. The way I want to move is without using any keys, but by pressing down both the left and right mouse buttons at once (like in World of Warcraft), which it does, and release them to stop.

Unfortunately, the auto running kicks in and I want to eliminate that. I've found a bind that lets me edit how the "R" key works , but again it's not the keyboard I'm worried about.

I don't wanna use "click to move" or use the keyboard, just the two mouse buttons, move the mouse to steer, and stop instantly by releasing them when I get into my target's face.

    Thanks for advice in advance,
    Shadowskillz
As far as I am aware, this is working as intended. After 5 or 10 seconds running by using both mouse buttons in this manner, auto-run automatically kicks in.

To stop auto-run, simply click both mouse buttons simultaneously.

It's always worked in this manner for me.
  12. Yeah, welcome Smurphy! I think I saw your announcement, but was busy at that time. Hope to be able to make one of your runs sometime soon, sounds like you run these the way I think they should be run!
  13. This sounds really cool, Masque! If I can be on at that time, I'll be there to witness the exquisite chaos!

First question: are you in MA? (Hopefully not, but had to ask...)

Also, see THIS thread (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=185302) for other info on this exact same issue.

    New forums!

Yeah, not bad at all! I'm sure that once we're used to them, they'll be fine.
  18. I'd be happy to lug something like a shirt or mug over to Hero-Con in October if this running joke is still, er, running (and I have no doubt that it has enough un-life to easily do so).

Does anyone know what the rep decay is? 1 rep per minute? 10 rep per hour?

    [/ QUOTE ]
IIRC, rep decay is .1/hour while logged out, .2/hour while the toon is logged in.

Love the DJ badges. Hoping I can pull off the earn them all in one day feat...

    [/ QUOTE ]
I've got an alt working on that just for the sake of a "fun experiment" but I'm not worrying about that for my main badgers.

    [/ QUOTE ]
So out of curiosity, what is this whole "earn all the Day Job badges in one day" thing? Does it involve rotating a toon through all DJ badge locations until the progress on each one is just a SLIVER below 100%, and then doing a DJ badge location "tour" one day and logging out for short periods of time, only long enough to receive that badge before repeating the process in the next location?

If not, then I'm mystified by the whole thing (and in any case I'm kind of confused as to why "doing them all in one day" [which you really aren't, actually] is significant...).
  21. That's awesome. Congrats, Sadys!

I wonder if the AE interface will be modified as well to allow colour/theme costumization for AE critters?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Per the devs, no, not at launch (due to resolving issues with the additional data taking up available MA space). They will apparently be working on this for later rollout (hopefully).
  24. [ QUOTE ]
We have, in a couple of threads in the main CoH discussion folder.

Was referring to THIS thread, but thanks for pointing me over there too.
  25. I'm surprised nobody has talked about the Power Customization demo the devs have running at Comic-Con. It was totally awesome to be able to play around with many of the powers that are receiving customization. You can individually tint each and every power in a set (all the same, or each one unique) and see animation of that power while you do (all powers in the set, regardless of the toon's level).

Oh, and the new "direct access" shortcut bar above the entire interface (with click access to each and every step in the character creation routine, in any order) is great! Especially love the new 'Check Name' button on the naming/origin page. (Thanks to Dark Watcher for pointing that out!)

I think you all are gonna love the new interface tweaks -- I know I sure do!
