Quote:That'd be me. I try to take Vengeance on as many toons as I can, since it's such a great team buff (except in Masters runs, of course, at least still-viable onesWhile I chuckled at the notion, it was a good thing one of the blasters had Vengeance to use almost everytime Shamster died.
). Sorry if everyone got tired of my bind, but I like to let everyone know that I've Venged so they can rez.

Thanks for running this for us, Shamster! And thanks to the team -- great fun, I've been itching to do an "all AT"-type high-level TF for a long time, and was great to finally get one in the books.

Quote:Dear Voodoo,I only have myself to blame for that.
It's been changed to Shamster until further notice.
I unabashedly apologize for daring to refer to Shamster as 'Satham' in direct opposition to approved Voodoo convention. Even so, I hope you can find it in your heart to not ask the aforementioned Shamster to boot me 30 seconds before completion of the all-Blaster ITF this evening.
Most sincerely,
~EN
P.S. Regardless of what happens, I blame Voodoo (in accordance with established doctrine). -
Quote:Dear Satham,Edited:
Due to interest of people living in crappy time zones, bumping this to 10 pm eastern.
I unabashedly apologize for daring to live in a non-Satham approved time zone of sheer crappiness. Even so, I hope you can find it in your heart to allow my meager Blasteriness to join your all-Blaster ITF this evening.
Most sincerely,

I'll have to check this later at home when I can get online, Viv.
On a side note, I predict this thread will swiftly accrue the highest view count in CoX forum history, strictly based on the title. -
True enough, you guys are right, I forgot that the OP is referring to his account going inactive. Sorry, I usually consider the topic from an active account standpoint...

Oh shoot, I got her in-game, but I didn't think about Masque-Man starting a thread here. DUH!
HAPPY (belated now) BIRTHDAY FMP!!!! -
Welcome back to the asylum, GP!

I'd love to bring my current fave toon, which just HAPPENS to be a Blaster (
), Ham, but the time is a bit early for me too, being on the West Coast.
I see you've asked about the time, so if you decide to bump it a bit later (for me, like around 10 Eastern or so), I'd love to come along if you have room. -
Quote:Have you considered asking someone on your server to help you out by helping you start a TF? If you get "padders" to form the minimum team size as stipulated by the TF and then have all of them quit (QUIT, not just log off the toon) except for one toon, and then have that one toon log off (NOT quit, just log off the game with the toon still in the TF) then you will have leisure to do the TF at your own pace. The spawns would be set for a team size of 2, but that's probably not too bad. (Be careful, however, that the TF/SF doesn't have a GM or AV in it that your toon can't tackle; bringing Shivans along can help with that sometimes, though.)I've been around since shortly before Issue 4.
In all that time I've still only scratched the surface when it comes to TF's
I've done a grand total of....
4.
Synapse - During a CapeRadio event
ITF - Thanks to Gabz
Statesman - Thanks to PCSAR
KHTF - Speed run
I would Love the ability to start TF's without anyone else. I hardly ever have the time to devote more than 3 straight hours to playing. Not to mention I'm not on the most up to date rig. meaning annoyingly long load times and frequent lost connections. So, I've always passed on TF invites.
I'd just like to be able to run the arc at my own pace. Without holding up anyone elses toons.
If you decide to do something like this, best of luck and have fun! In my opinion, some of the TFs/SFs are among the best story arcs in the game. -
That time actually might work for me, so if possible I will be there with SGS to act as human PvP carpet (wouldn't want all those good PvPers to get their boots dirty, so they walk on my face instead).

Interesting little slice of Victory drama to spice up my afternoon.
Alt, I think your post came across extremely harsh, intended or not (and I have a hard time believing you really didn't think your post was going to be provocative). Volken is a newer player, and all he did was express worry that he chose an AT that many others did as well, and that it might negatively impact his ability to get teams. All that needed to be said was that a truly good group of players playing as a team would accept most any AT in CoX and be able to excel and enjoy themselves. And accusing him of being "part of the problem" isn't very nice -- he's a new player (which you acknowledged by welcoming him to the game), so he doesn't have that many alts yet to choose from. Give him time, I'm sure that will happen sooner rather than later.
Volken, hopefully you took some positives from this thread. 4.5 years ago when I started playing this game, I felt much the same as Alt seems to about Tankers. The first 2 or 3 I teamed with a significant amount DID consider themselves to be the de facto team leader, whether they had the star or not, and also seemed to think they were God's gift to AT build advice (and not just Tanker builds!). I remember feeling like I would NEVER want to roll a Tank because "all" Tankers were jerks -- but as I played more and made more friends I met many, MANY more people who played Tanks (some as their favorite or "main" AT, others as just one of their many alts), and I came to see that it truly is the PLAYER behind the toon that determines their behavior. A classy person playing any toon is classy; a crass jerkhole playing any toon remains a crass jerkhole.
That said, do keep in mind that now with I16's Super Side-Kicking (SSK) you don't have to be within any particular range to accompany a team anymore, so feel free to roll up some ATs you want to try out and get on a kick-a$$ Victory team! And as others have pointed out, play what you like and have fun -- it's a game. -
Try checking the "Badges and Gladiators" forum here-- there is a known issue with this accolade (and no, there is no level restriction -- I believe people are saying there is a bug interfering with the accolade being awarded).
-
There are only 2 requirements to earning Day Job badges:
1) The toon must be logged out (duh)
2) The toon must be logged out in a Day Job badge location
Other than that, it just depends on WHAT DJ badge you want. Most are obvious thematically, but check out ParagonWiki.com or Badge-Hunter.com for more specific information. Best of luck! -
Quote:No level requirements were removed from TFs/SFs/Trials with I16 -- only the restriction on level for entering a previously-level-restricted zone (such as some Hazard Zones). There are no requirements to do the Shard tfs (I guess the level requirement is removed, is it?).
The minimum level requirements are either 40 or 44 still, depending on the TF involved.
Much more information available here: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Task_Force. -
Welcome back to Paragon, CB_GB!

Also, I recommend also putting said information into a new thread in the "Techical Issues & Bugs" forum here-- they have a lot of big brains over there that have seen nearly everything and can probably offer very specific advice.
In any case, best of luck with your issue and welcome back to CoX! -
I had a slightly different experience with updating HS post-I16, Taser -- when I realized that I needed to do it, I downloaded the newest unstable build and ran it, but never had to re-input my Badge-Hunter.com information, so I'm not sure what was different between our situations.
In any case, kudos to Skip for getting the new HS version up and running so quickly after I16 so I could continue my badge verifying! -
It IS awarding successfully today, so I dunno what happened to you guys, Beefcake. If you ran it after today's patch, you shouldn't have gotten the mapserver DCs. That sucks, man, sorry to hear.

Welcome, Volken! Glad you've decided to choose Victory as your CoX home!
You might also want to check the SG thread (stickied in this very Victory forum) and see if any SGs strike your fancy. An active SG (and there are some VERY good and active ones on Victory) is a great resource for new players, useful for finding teams and joining events, getting questions answered quickly by veterans, etc.
Anyway, welcome and have fun!
