To report a post -- click on the little triangular signpost ("Report Post") in the left-hand margin next to your original post. I THINK that's where they're suggesting you place your request for the moderators to relocate your post. (However, when you do so, a cautionary message below the text box appears ["Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts."], so I'm not really sure if that's technically the way to go or not.)

As far as searching previous posts/threads goes, click on the "SEARCH" link located at the top of the page and enter keyword(s). The search function is fairly robust on this software.

Totally agree here. And the procs are nearly always (dare I say, always) the cheapest of the 6 enhancements or recipes when purchasing on the Market, which just adds to their attractiveness.

Werner's point is right on -- purples are rare, but rare does not equal uber (necessarily). IO sets are highly situational, and what works for one power, AT or character concept does not necessarily work as well in another.
  3. Sounds like a fun and interesting exercise this time around -- I'll pull out my main (Spines/Invul Scrapper who can run on decently high difficulty settings) and check what an hour of beating stuff up nets me.
  4. In fairly limited playtime, went from 30- or 32-ish to 43.5 on my current project, a farming Brute.

Other than that, just jumped onto whichever 50 toon would help others in their DXP pursuits. I still love playing the 50s!

This is exactly what I do. I have binds for saying "Congats!", for letting the team know that I've fired off Vengeance (EXTREMELY useful on an all-Blaster ITF that includes SatHam, as I learned ), etc., but I never found it all that necessary to have a bind to replace the 5 keystrokes needed to simply say "zzz" in Team Chat. (Incidentally, the reason I want the team to know I'm mezzed is not so much to get a CM or equivalent, but so that they know that I'm out of action and to modify their tactics accordingly.)

Also, I make a habit of carrying at least one Breakfree on ALL my toons (more for mez-prone squishies), so usually I'll simply pop the BF insp and move on.
  6. I know how you feel, Net -- on my badge toon (blue-side -- I only hardcore badge hero-side) I only have Day Jobs and the final couple of damage badges to do (other than Vet badges that will come when they come). I can't work on the damage significantly now because of Day Jobs, so I'm holding off until I'm done with the last few Day Job badges I need (hoping I can finish before Going Rogue introduces any more, assuming it does).

Not sure what to do after that, since event badges (such as the 6 new upcoming Halloween 2009 badges) tend to be easy and quick to get. Maybe just periodically review your online tracking totals on Badge-Hunter and/or CIT to give yourself that warm, fuzzy, badgey feeling?

Congrats on just about finishing the quest!

In lieu of this I decided that Players Questions could extend to Questions/Comments/Suggestions as most decent product-centric forums allow for.

If there is a better spot I admittedly missed it and hope the administrators relocate the post.
Well, what about the "Suggestions and Requests" forum? It didn't take me more than 3 seconds to scan the main lists and find that one -- your post seems in the nature of either or both.

The xp glitch the OP is talking about has to do with the Hydra Hatchlings that are in the area around the head. They gave a disproportionate amount of xp back in the day, and people used to run the trial a lot to get through the last few levels (of course this is back before the last few levels were 45-50).
You're right, I'd forgotten about the XP glitch from back when on that. Thanks for the correction.

So, with that being said, I'm just perusing through these tunnels with my 50 and forgot where the sewer entrance was to get there? I think it was in Steel but not sure. I was going to go and just check it out, heck, maybe even take a few pics for nostalgia..lol. So any direction to get there would be helpful.
I think you're combining two entities -- Lusca and the Hydra (from the Abandoned Sewer Trial). Lusca is the giant squid monster that spawns in Independance Port, where you have to take out each tentacle separately before being able to defeat the head. I don't recall any 'XP glitch', but if it ever existed, it does not currently.

The Abandoned Sewer Trial is a Trial where the final monster is the "Head of the Hydra".

Check out the Wiki entries I've linked above for more details.

We had exactly the same problem with an ITF right after I16, Ham, and it didn't work (presumably because the mission had already been set). The leader logged out and came back, but they resumed the star upon their return and, of course, the mission didn't reset. We tried a bunch of combinations of people logging out before finally giving up in frustration.

So I think there may still be a few kinks to work out where SSK and TFs are concerned.

  12. Last I knew, that's exactly it. They do not allow more than 2 accounts to be paid by the same card (to discourage RMTers, I suppose).
  13. Nobody (possibly even the devs) knows the answers to these questions yet. More announcements will be coming, but Going Rogue isn't going into even beta testing anytime soon.

Stay tuned -- there are indications the devs are giving that they have big announcements for Hero Con (in 2 weeks), so at that time a few more pieces of information may surface.

As for your 4th question, Going Rogue is an "expansion", just like CoV was. What we DO know for sure so far is that you can start a new character in Praetoria, or you can use Praetoria to "cross over" your heroes and villains in varying degrees. So what little (VERY little) information we currently have suggests that all characters will be able to participate in GR in some manner.

  15. Well put, SG. I have to say, I was following this thread, and didn't really "get" your point until now. You're right, as a continuing inf sink, this badge idea wouldn't really scratch the surface as I think Fulmens intends.

If you are a hero, you go talk to the City Representative (she's in the rotunda of City Hall in Atlas Park) as soon as you are level 20 (or anytime thereafter). Accept the cape mission arc from her and you can do that to earn access to capes at the tailor. (Also, there are some pseudo-capes available to veterans as rewards, as well as from a number of "Booster" packs available separately.)

If you are a villain and at least level 20, speak to your original contact in the same manner as above to receive a series of missions that unlocks capes in the same way.

Same here, my original account (created during Beta) hasn't been reactivated, although it was on previous reactivation weekends. Dunno why the difference this time around.

    Finally Hit 50

VERY easy. There is a zone called "Ouroboros" that
you can use to "flashback" to any story arcs or stand-alone badge missions you may have missed (or just want to repeat for whatever reason). More info can be found at ParagonWiki by clicking the link above.

If you do it via Ouroboros, yes, you will be exemped down to the range of the mission or arc. Check the wiki for more detailed information.

IOs are an optional part of the game, but many people like their flexibility and the fact that they do not ever grow stale like TOs, DOs and SOs do. More info at the wiki here.

You're referring to a "respec" (short for "character respecification"). Correct, you can NOT change your primary or secondary powersets, but you CAN change everything else (i.e., individual power selections within those sets and completely change any or all pool power choices you made previously). Like a broken record, I'll direct you to the wiki for more on respecs (you may want to just click around ParagonWiki for awhile -- the stuff you can learn there is amazing).

    5) Since I won't be getting xps, will the cash rewards be greater than usual or do I have to ex myself to get that ?[/QUOTE]
If you are doing arcs via Ouroboros, you will get greater than normal influence awards. Also, if you exemp down and do a mission or arc with a group doing it outside of Ouroboros, you will get higher than normal influence awards. Details on rewards and other stuff regarding SKing and exemping here.

Hope you enjoy the next phase of your CoX life!

No, don't go by my schedule -- I'm on the West Coast, but most Victory peeps seem to be East Coasters, so 8 PM their time seems pretty good usually for Victory stuffs.
  20. This question would probably be best addressed in the "Player Questions" section of the forums.
  21. 5 PM Pacific is a bit too early for me (still at work at that point), but I wanted to welcome you back to the forum and game, John!

Correct, no cape + wings, no trench + wings. Most back options are exclusive.

...not to mention 29 -- but only every fourth year.

Yeah, I think that's basically the thought process behind ANYTHING using a static assumed-30-day calendar. And Sailboat, it's FAR from limited to only CoX (for example, some banking systems can be set to calculate loan interest based on a 12-month 30-day "year").

Yes, and for some of us, it's a U.S. (legal) holiday as well. But that doesn't change the fact that Monday is NOT part of DXP weekend as currently scheduled. That's all GP was talking about -- nothing wrong with forging ahead with festivities for anyone still off that day, but nobody should expect DXP to still be in effect (although in light of the timing of both a minor U.S. and a more major Canadian holiday, it would have been nice for them to extend DXP by a day).
