Quote:This was pretty much what was said at Hero Con also...I'm all in favor of seeing some of the older zones get revamped and fleshed out, but I recall something Positron said during the 5th anniversary event. He said it takes the same amount of time to redo an existing zone as it does to make a new zone so they are focusing on just making new zones. Now that can be disapointing to vet players but to new players dozens of zones can seem like it will take forever to explore. We have 40+ zones to CO's 5 zones. Which one will get boring first.

Quote:You can also just use "/buycoh".Don't know if /quit does it, but unlike clicking the X, when you use the menu option to exit the game, it will ask you if you want to quit to login or desktop, and if you choose the latter an option to skip the countdown and exit the program immediately comes up.

Quote:I think GP is referring to the Ouroboros TF from Mender Silos. The Croatoa TF where you fight the Jade Spider has a goodly amount of Arachnos, and Toxic Tarantulas. Forget the name of it, but I believe it's the one Mender Silos hands out. You'll need to grab other people to run it, but it's a pretty fun TF to run. Just look out for all the psychic damage the Jade Spider dishes out.

Also, before contacting CS, check each toon's "Accolades" badge list to make certain you do not have it, and on an account where you DO have it in the same list on other toons...

This event was a blast, MP! Thanks for doing all the work of organizing it and keeping it fun throughout!

Quote:I'll ask my friend who coordinated both efforts to either post here or PM you about it, WD. I have to caution you that we used ARTWORK of our toons, not in-game screenshots, so I'm not sure how well a screenie of your character would translate onto a shirt (it probably depends on the quality of the image you send the T-shirt producer). As far as the action figures go, there are numerous customizers out there (check eBay and prepare to be overwhelmed), which obviously vary widely in price and quality.I would be very interested in knowing how you went about making the T-shirt and action figure.
Niviene was kind enough to tell me that individual shirts for personal use are not a problem. I'm concerned that simply trying to use a screen shot as an image to screen print will not yield a decent result, but I have no other immediate ideas.
Here are the two figures I had made (1 normal, 1 "battle-damaged"):
And here is the shirt front and back (sorry for the poor image quality):

As mentioned in the sign-up thread, I'm also donating my proceeds back to P.E.R.C. (this, of course, presupposes that my mother can generate a CoX account and accumulate a few inf by then
).

Quote:Very much this. I always bid creep on everything -- even though it takes a bit of extra time, I enjoy doing it.Dude, I've sort of stopped keeping track of how much money I have total, and I still bid creep at least a little even on regular salvage. I just enjoy the sense of getting a bargain. I also stare in wonder sometimes at how much people pay me for stuff.

The contact is Archmage Tarixus, and he is unlocked by obtaining the Lorekeeper history badge.

I have both a T-shirt of my main character (we had them made special and three of us wore them at Hero Con) and a custom 6-inch action figure of her. (I'll try to remember to post some photos later.)
The opportunities are out there, it just takes a bit of research. -
GP, Nericus is correct. Purchasing the Architect Edition allows the buyer to: "Select between the Super Booster I: Cyborg pack and the Super Booster II: Magic pack."
No provision has yet been made, as far as I'm aware, to include subsequent Boosters. -
Late to the party as usual, but happy belated birthday, Rod!

Quote:Actually, ZM, yes (although I won't dispute that he may well still be confusing the points you mentioned).Ummm... no.
You're confusing leading with owning the mission.
A level 50 can lead, chose the mission of a level 35 teammate, and then do that mission while still leading. Everyone gets auto-sidekicked to level 35 when they enter the mission.
Whether the OP would want to exemplar down is a different issue, but he can exemplar down and still have the star.
By definition if a group of "7 other lvl 24 heroes" are doing a Scanner mission in PI, the level 50 leader MUST also be the mission owner. So what he said was accurate. -

Quote:Really, no need to do all of that work anymore (unless you are really desperate to have the accolade on a super-lowbie for some reason) -- as with many badge missions blue- OR red-side, simply visit Ouroboros (after level 25, when you are eligible) and do the "Rescue the Mystic from the Circle of Thorns" mission (appearing in the level 1-15 Flashback missions). Easiest way to get that badge pretty much on-demand (again, after level 25, of course)....and hope and pray you get the Fortune Teller mission contact at level 10...or have a friend who has it. My husband just happened to have that mission so I was able to do it as soon as I got the required kills.
To get the Fortune Teller mission contact, I visit my first contact, do the missions until I get referred to another contact, go and do that contact's missions until I get a new one....rinse and repeat, by the time I get to level 10, I have a lot of contacts.
At level 10, talk to all your contacts. If luck is shinimg on you, one will give you the coveted mission. -
Your best bet is hunting them in St. Martial, in The Flop (and to a lesser extent, the Jackpot area to the south). There's a spot in The Flop where Consiglieres spawn in extremely high numbers (at one point I could target 8 from one vantage point). And they respawn quickly as well.
I just got Gangbuster on a villain two days ago using this method. -
Quote:What does that have to do with it, ZM? The contest doesn't say it's the CONTACT that is the hero -- it says "Write an arc where a hero must do evil for the 'greater good'."You do know that Dr. B is a villain in CoH lore, right? Just don't want you to waste a lot of time.
I don't see how Dr. Brainstorm couldn't be the contact and the hero who does evil for the greater good not be the player (from the standpoint of the story), or perhaps an NPC within the story.
And yes, Chad knows EXACTLY who Dr. B is. -
Quote:Not to mention that it's been well-documented that BABs worked on this power during his "free time" (whatever THAT isWhat a dopey thing to say. Since *SO* many people wanted this, and are very happy to have it, your statement is patently false.
), so there weren't any "wasted" resources.

Yes, this has long been put to rest, but somehow continues to rear its ugly head from time to time.
As has been pointed out above, set bonuses "stack" toward the Rule of 5 cap by using their UNIQUE BONUS NAME (as appears in your character's "Info" screen on the "Powers" tab). Since the LotG +7.5% Recharge IO has a completely separate and unique name for its bonus, it is completely separate and unique from other +7.5% bonuses.
As UberGuy pointed out, if someone is not experiencing the above, then it should be considered a bug and perhaps reported as such. -
We've done speed Posi runs in as little as about 1:15 - 1:30, but that's with the proviso of completely optimizing your team (opinions on an "optimized" Posi team vary) and the 2 or 3 people doing it know Posi extremely well.
