If you haven't tried Victory recently, Bill, we'd love to have you come check out the place. We even cleaned up a little in case you drop by!

  4. Well said, Rod -- not that it will stop the twits who don't bother to read or search for anything before posting, but we can at least link to this thread now and move on.

Seriously, Agge hit on the exact reason. Many people coming from other MMOs are surprised by the lack of "out in the open" content that CoX has. Your best bet is to go to the forum for the server you play on and find out what the global channels are on your server. Use those to coordinate teaming, Task Force/Strike Forces, badge hunting, etc.

Best of luck and welcome to the game and the forums!

To be precise, the wiki refers to it as "Longbow Warden 2", as does the community at large (at least in my experience), so that is the term I use.

For assembling your Gladiator team, you're right, it's good to know that it's the 500-point LW you want.

This is kinda where I'm at, too. For me, it really depends on what ends up happening to the blue-side badges (my badge toon is a Scrapper) while you're switched. If they are "masked" or hidden in any way, then forget it, I'm not interested. I don't care about badge names changing, and certainly I could care less about abusing accolade powers, but, to me, your achieved badge total is, officially, what shows in-game. If that total is somehow affected, I'm really not interested.

Then again, it occurs to me that if the community decides that "earned badges" constitute any badge the toon in question has ever gained and show up and are verified on a neutral site (such as on Beef's), I'll probably knuckle under and go flying off after all the red-side badges I can get.

    Way to waffle, there, Eric.

Yup, this. Go test it out, I think you'll find out Agge is correct (at least I'M not betting against her! ).

Yes, 100%. You maintain powers as selected up to 5 levels above your exemplared level.

As Bill points out, particularly useful for the Posi TF (as well as Synapse).

This is exactly what I do, also. Many of those mobs have 2 bosses in them, and there were times where I could target as many as eight bosses from one standing location.

This has been my exact experience also (and the same experience as a fair number of other players, mostly badgers, who I've spoken to). Sounds like a number of glitches all happening around the same activity. How odd.

In any case, congrats on the 400 PvP rep badges, jacktar!

Here's why: getting to 400 PVP rep gets you access to a Gladiator (which is a type of Arena event where you, the player, do not fight, but have Gladiators fight for you at your control) called "Longbow Warden2". This Gladiator has a healing ability that gives you some credit toward your healing badge for every target it hits (regardless whether that target requires any healing).

So getting access to the LW2 Gladiator allows you to set up a "heal farm" with just 2 accounts (1 on each side of the Arena Gladiator match), or more if people are available, and when the players' Gladiators are all bunched up close together, the Wardens' heals give off tremendous heal badge credit. The players simply set this up and walk away (generally overnight), and since Arena matches do not log you out for inactivity it's simply the most efficient way of gaining healing badge credit.

Hope that helps you a bit.

    Two to go

When I finish the Cimerora DJ badge (only 2 more days to go), I'll only need 2 DJ badges and the associated accolade, so should only be 6+ weeks total to being done altogether with the current ones.

Note, some people may tell you to "/unbind f6", but that doens't really unbind the key, but unbinds whatever personalized setting you might have had for it and resets it to the default, which will still give you the "Run! spam".
So that advice is only specifically useful for "cleaning" the bind up, but not unbinding a default bind.

[...then again, maybe it's because you can double up on each day job badge?]
I was stating that I thought you might have CONFUSED the coupons that show in storage with Vet reward (or other) free costume tokens -- they are not related, and the only ones that show in the salvage inventory window are the Day Job badge related ones (to the best of my knowledge).

Note that you don't have to earn the entire DJ badge to start accruing some of its benefits (for instance, I leave a toon logged out in Icon for awhile, and when I log in I have some hours built up toward the badge as well as a coupon or two in my salvage inventory).

    Anyone else have this issue?
Seriously, if you can figure out how to replicate this reliably, please let me know. If I could "turn off" enhancement drops, I'd do so in a heartbeat. I hate managing TO/DO/SOs (and who REALLY doesn't earn enough at nearly every level to afford even SOs about as needed?).

Yeah, I'll echo SunGryphon's comments -- and Posi specifically has said it will take a significant effort to switch factions.

Nowhere has anyone indicated it's as easy as "just like that" to my knowledge.
  23. When referring to "level" in this sense, it's the level at which the power(s) in question were chosen. In other words, you are exemplared down to level X, and have access to powers chosen by you when that toon was X+5 (but nothing beyond that).
  24. In any real sense of the word, they really aren't "real" salvage, but they are displayed as if they were. Perhaps you're thinking the tailor discount coupons you are seeing are related to your toon's Veteran rewards ("free tailor tokens")? If so, they're not. The coupons you see in your "Salvage" window are strictly related to the tailor Day Job badge (only).

You cannot trade or sell it -- similar to AE Tickets, or Reward Merits.

More information on all sorts of fun "salvage" stuff at the wiki here.
