I predict a long and healthy life for this thread based on teh lulz factor alone.

Quote:Oh.since it sounds like the OP was on a villain you can go to grandville and buy a jetpack from the jetpack vendor.
DUH.
That whole word "Mayhem" should have clued me in a bit, huh?
Well, at least the wiki page I linked contains this sentence: "Villains can get a Raptor Pack in Grandville, in front of the Lord Recluse statue, near Arbiter Apolis. Villains of any level can make a purchase, as long as they have the infamy to pay for it."
Thanks for pointing that out LKN_351. -
Also, keep in mind that going through doing Safeguards now solely for the transport power isn't as pressing, as any toon of any level can now go to Firebase Zulu and purchase a jetpack from the vendor there.

Personally, I prefer purchasing the temp jetpack from the vendor in FBZ at whatever level I want over having to set up and run Safeguards. YMMV. -

Quote:Probably the "Suggestions and Ideas" forum would actually be a better choice...This seems like a good place to petition for a defeat badge for those Northern Lights.

Quote:Same here, Munki (and anyone else jammed up for extra toon slots) -- since I play exclusively on Victory, I have tons of open slots on every other server. Feel free to hit me up (@EricNelson) in-game if you need any help!Munki, I'd be happy to roll up some name dummies if you like.

Quote:To be fair, there are quite a few players who enjoy soloing as their main gameplay experience, and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure they have every bit as much fun as others who team regularly. To each their own.To kinda add to this... always remember what the 2nd M in MMO stands for. This and all MMOs are designed to be played with other people. You can solo any AT (some more effectively than others) but it will never be as fun as running around with a group destroying everything you see.

Quote:This.I can't speak for gamewide but I can tell you, it had been my experience on TFs lately that I would much rather get a cold/therm for buffs and debuffs rather then an emp.
CoX has always placed more emphasis on buffing (preventative) rather than healing (after the fact). With the wide array of great buff powers available (Sonic, Cold, FF, etc.), healing just isn't really very useful (ironically, however, the Emp buffs are great). -

Quote:Yeah, this is the man that can get that badge for you without having to move!
You do realize that Victory runs alot of MSTFs right?
Hit me up in game sometime and we can try to plan a mstf for this weekend.
I can bring a shielder or whatever if this happens when I'm on this weekend, always happy to help out another new "Master of" badgeholder! -

The ability to easily "see" your reputation within your User CP was removed by the devs a short while back in large part because of some abuse of the system.

I believe it's also purchaseable from the Candy Keeper (5 Candy Canes, 10 influence/infamy).

Quote:That's wrong on so many levels. A good deed is a good deed for one or many. It's simply a non-event for others (or should be -- I can't figure out why you're getting so bent out of shape over something that you can simply not utilize). It is only a good deed when it is equitable and well thought out.
As it stands it is neither for a significant number of the paying customers!
And what "significant number of the paying customers!" are you saying this isn't a good deed for? -
Quote:And now (for a short time, anyway), the transfer is free of charge!OP, If you find yourself too invested in a toon on server X, you can always entertain the option of transferring that toon elsewhere. The process is pretty seamless (for a charge, of course), and I use that for my main when I want to visit a server population for the holidays.

Quote:I do the same exact thing, DB (but mostly because I'm a crotchety old man, and I just get pissed at people using my workbench without the courtesy of a "May I..."For me, at least. The friggin' workbench tends to move around if you travel. As a courtesy, I nuke it before I leave the CH. It takes up space and no one else can use it, while the real workbench is invisibly popping around the zone behind you. It's just annoying.
I'm sure there is a keystroke like /release_pets_all or something, but I just click-dismiss.), but note that others CAN use any portable workbench deployed -- in fact, that's sorta the point to it, being able to pop it out during a long TF or something, and have you and teammates craft up some stuff if desired.

Wow...and yet AGAIN we see that no good deed (by the devs) goes unpunished...
Geez, it's FREE, guys! If you don't want it or can't get any use out of it, then don't use it and you're no worse off than you were yesterday!
