    Base Raids

It hasn't been all THAT long since doing one, but I could be misremembering. IIRC, it could be either blue/blue, red/red, blue/red or red/blue (someone will surely correct me if I'm misrembering ).

For instant raids I don't believe anything specific was needed other than a base (certainly not an IoP, because our SG and VG raided each other periodically well after the CoP Trial had come and gone).

Very simple -- when defeated, you rezzed back to YOUR base's medbay, and accessed the enemy base again via the Raid Teleporter unit in your base. Sadly, the spawn points were fixed, which enabled "spawn-camping" strategies to be used (you can imagine how this, especially, affected Masterminds). For informal raids, we commonly agreed to avoid spawn-camping in order to give the invaders a more sporting chance, since it's no fun at all to continually get killed zoning in to the fight.

I only set it up two or three times, so I can't recall each setting involved. In general, prospective raid participants had to be IN their SG's bases prior to the raid beginning, and even then, some toons wouldn't be able to join the raid (necessitating a quick zone-out-and-back to remedy). During the raid, the bases were unavailable (or at least the attacked base were). The command to begin the raid was a slash command meant to be utilized by the attackers' raid leader, aimed at a toon on the other side (the leader of the raided group).

However, make sure to go to http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Valkyrie_Costume_Pieces and check out a picture of the Valkyrie wings -- they aren't really "angel" wings, and are very stylized, so they may or may not work for what you want.
  4. Your suggestion doesn't change the fact that it allows multiples of the same exact toon name on a server.

Apparently that doesn't bother you, and I'm sure there are others who agree with your position.

However, I and many others don't. I wish you could have heard the reaction at Hero Con when it was suggested that something like this be implemented. More than 95% of the room roared in strong disapproval.

I like the fact that I have to be creative to get a unique (server-wise, anyway) name, and that I know for certain that NOBODY else on my server has that name (if I'm creative enough, nobody on ANY server may have it).

So to me, and apparently a LOT of others, any suggestion that reduces the uniqueness of names is not palatable.

As usual, Ironblade is correct. Just to clarify a bit, though, the inability to trade between factions extends to ALL parts of the game (i.e., the markets, co-op zones/TFs/SFs/events, etc.) and cannot be overridden or gotten around. (I add this tiny point because the OP specifically asked.)

In my opinion, you can NEVER have too much endurance.

    That is all.
  8. I have a somewhat newer PC than Ironblade (just over a year old), and it's pretty nifty (I treated myself this time around ). It has a quad processor, 8 gigs of RAM, and I run 64-bit Vista on it. I have two accounts myself and can run up to 4-5 separate game "instances" at once (also using other peoples' accounts, of course), although without changing settings, after 3 separate instances it gets progressively less playable.

So I agree with Ironblade, if you have anywhere near more PC than the game requires, you are probably okay to run two accounts simultaneously.

    Best of luck!

I wouldn't be so quick to assume that the past timeline will presage the future -- with Going Rogue in the works, and possibly a new (non-GR) issue looming as well, resources would seem to be pretty tight.

Either way, though, we should be getting some great new stuff before too much longer!

This was exactly my experience with it while getting the related Arena badge. It seemed to be random (no idea if it really IS random, but it sure seems so) with the winner or loser advancing without apparent relation to the actual outcome of the match.
  12. If I recall correctly, one of the panels I was at during Hero Con made mention of the way Praetoria will be set up, and that's correct -- even though there aren't War Walls, it's not one big "zone". There will be level-specific zones just like CoH or CoV currently.
  13. Very interested, Voo. My commitment has to be conditional because of schedule uncertainties, but I'll be following the thread and will look for the TF if I can be on then.

I have 6 or 8 different level 50 Defenders that I could bring (depending on team makeup). I love doing "all-AT" TFs/SFs!

This is a GREAT idea -- and if they could add custom flying emotes to use them with, it'd rock even more!

  16. The ability to review all your rep in one place was removed by the devs some time back, in part (I believe) because of some abuse issues.

To view now, you can click on the "scales" icon next to any of your posts to see your total rep amount, and on individual posts if you want to see specific rep/feedback on that post. (Yes, it's a very cumbersome way of having to do it, but that's the way it's set up now.)

You'll be able to switch him, regardless of level and AT, rest assured.

(We just don't know much more than that at this point.)
