Welcome back to the game, Shiny_Victory!
I think you'll also find some good information located here on the wiki. -
Quote:Ah, the Mission Teleporter. Brilliant Rod, you're right, that would do it (although not for every account). Nice solution.I've done it during an ITF before. Pocket D porter to the D, get your inspirations, go into the hallways so that you're out of the no-TP zone, and hit the Mission Porter to go back to Cim.

Quote:Sorry, that link for the word "queue" wasn't to point out your error in any way, only to show that the wiki also addresses the subject of queueing powers up.lol, even a link for the correct spelling. that must be a pet peeve.
EDIT - But yes, you are right, it IS a huge pet peeve for me. I know it's really REALLY hard to tell... -
Aid other is interruptible, so I believe that's working as intended.

And by the way (sorry, this is a pet peeve of mine), it's "queue" not "cue".

Quote:If you go look at the recorded footage from the Hero Con presentation, you'll see we have NOT yet seen it in-game -- everything in the GR Praetoria is brand-spanking-new and looks AMAZING.its mirror image of paragon and rogue isles ( im imagining) and from doing praetorians (sp?) arc i think we seen it looks like city of heros

Quote:This is good advice for a novice player, but in general it really depends on the intended use(s) for the toon in question, as well as the playstyle of the player (and other factors). Not to mention focusing on getting set bonuses just for the sake of it tends to gimp the builds of less experienced players. In other words, generally speaking, players should primarily focus on maximizing the effectiveness of each individual power, rather than worrying so much about completing entire IO sets.
A build that makes extensive use of set bonuses is not necessarily "gimp", and I think that generally speaking players should focus on whatever they think will make their toon the most effective for whatever use they have in mind. -
Quote:Well, there may be relief for this situation in the future -- Posi made some encouraging comments in regard to being able to trade inspirations between heroes and villains, so it's something they will hopefully address (I really find it hard to believe anyone considers insp trading seriously exploitable in any significant way).I am a bit choked that I can't pass someone a wakie during those crucial coop mission moments. I guess having a revive ally power is the only way.

Most excellent, Michelle! One of your better efforts to date (if not your very best)!
I did chuckle at the "TO DO" list, and I also got a laugh out of the quick sequence with Manti and Sister P. -
Quote:Praetoria doesn't look a thing like the Rogue Isles. In fact, in the footage we saw at Hero Con, it's much shinier even than such Paragon City areas as PI and Steel Canyon. That might be fun. Depends on whether or not Praetoria needs a bath. Walking around Rogue Isles makes me feel kinda Felix Ungery. Weird. I don't get that in King's Row or Skyway event though they're also pretty dirty gross, but Rogue Isles makes me itchy.
Like GG suggests, I think you should go look at some GR footage from Hero Con before making any snap decisions. -

Quote:Then what about STARTING a Dom, MM or other villain AT you think might be interesting in Praetoria and then bringing it to Paragon at level 20? That's what GR will offer you the opportunity to do.This Going Rogue thing doesn't interest me at all cuz I don't do CoV. I've tried but I just find the backstory and the environment kinda boring. Paragon City is simply more inviting than Rogue Isles. I'm sure Masterminds must be a blast to play and Dominators look like Controllers on acid. That's all well and good but I'd just like to do something with my fifty that didn't make me feel like I was wasting my time.

Quote:First off (not really sure if you realize this from the phrasing of your questions), the "RWZ" accessed by heroes is the exact same zone as accessed by villains.I'm hoping to get an idea on RWZ in CoV.
How does it compare to RWZ in CoH?
Is it exactly the same thing?
Do you get the exact same missions with the exact same dialog?
And yes, all missions given by contacts in RWZ are identical regardless of faction. -

Quote:Which is exactly what I said. Sounds like you COULD get away with it. I never said anyone SHOULD -- I certainly would prefer a more original name, but the discussion was addressing what COULD occur.*nod* I want to think it was a Redname who said something along the lines of "Yeah, you could make a character named Thor as a technology origin Mind Control/Radiation Emission Controller, and if the costume looked nothing like the comic book version, you'd probably be fine. But at that point, you might as well come up with an original name anyway."
And if your example is accurate, then it sounds like the devs have commented on it and it COULD be done without reprisal (within the bounds of our speculative discussion). -

As long as you weren't trying to actually spoof/mimic/rip off Marvel's version of Thor in origin, appearance or some other aspect, I see no reason you couldn't use the name referencing the Norse mythology, which is obviously in the public domain.

Apparently the wiki page hasn't been updated with the 2009 event yet (or even 2008). I'll try to remember to test this out tonight and update the wiki if applicable (unless someone beats me to it). -
Basically, "frankenslotting" refers to the practice of using multiple types of enhancements in a power without regard for set bonuses in order to maximize the performance of that power in some specific way(s).
As always, the wiki knows pretty much all...

However, that's not allowed on a co-op team without being bounced from the team (same for using Ouroboros).
