That's the "thousand-aire" picture -- their club is over that way in the RV jacked up on cinder blocks. ------->

  3. I think you first need to decide WHAT you're tracking. Different utilities track different data.

Personally, I track badges, using Badge-Hunter.com (in conjunction with HeroStats for verification), and that's all.

    Workbench?

Inside any University (such a located in Steel Canyon, Founders' Falls, Cap au Diable, etc.).

Also, if you belong to a SG or VG, your base architect may have purchased and placed them.

(In the interest of completeness, there's also a Portable Workbench that can be earned via accolade, so if you know someone with that accolade they can summon the workbench for you at any location.)

Yes, this is what I've heard as well (good point, so the OP doesn't think that they get to "transfer" the account wholecloth from one server list to the other).

Then that time can be utilized to earn toward the 2 million in some other inventive way they may have come up with that doesn't violate the spirit of the competition.

Really, you disagree with me and I disagree with you, and that's fine, neither of us is the boss of anyone other than ourselves. Perhaps if someone DOES manage to earn 2 million in 30 minutes, they will just have to post the "rules" they used for their effort.

    1. Start with a brand new character.
    2. You must earn everything yourself. No gifts, twinking, stealing, or PLing.
    3. Must be reasonably repeatable by anyone at any time.
    4. You have exactly 30 consecutive minutes from first spawning.
Rule #3 means no using special events (candy canes), booster pack powers (Ninja Run), VEATs or HEATs, vet powers, etc. It also means getting an incredibly lucky drop doesn't count. The goal is to come up with a method that anyone can use fairly reliably to earn a lot of Inf on a level 1 char.
I think TopDoc's version seems the most logical. I don't see the point of denying combat (it's YOUR 30 minutes, use it however you think best for earning), and why require using the tutorial? If someone thinks they can do it quicker some other way that doesn't violate the spirit of the challenge, more power to them!
  9. The progression, as we currently know it, is this:

    Hero > Vigilante > Villain
    Villain > Rogue > Hero

(The switch can be done repeatedly, but it's clear that doing so will be fairly time-intensive and not a simple "click here to switch" process.)

But yes, as has been pointed out, we simply don't know the answer to 99.99999% of peoples' GR questions at this point. Hopefully there will be official info coming from the dev team soon™, but until then, grab a seat and wait here with the rest of us poor lunks.

  12. Congrats, Nericus!

I'm looking forward to mine being done (blue-side) soon as well, although as others have pointed out, for good or ill I'm 99% certain there will be at least a handful of DJ badges added with GR...

That's true, you're right, he sure did. It still doesn't categorize what can and can't be transferred from one side to the other, but it does suggest that at least what you can carry can be ported over...

If you have 45 defence then only numbers below 5 cause a hit.

Numbers are allotted evenly (Unless the gerbil has been eating fast food, when all the numbers are below 5 and your defence means nothing).

40 defence stops 80% of valid attacks (being ones that would otherwise have hit you). (i.e. ignoring numbers above 50 because they wouldn't hit you anyway.)

Since this means you only have 20% of attacks left hitting you, the next 5 defence cannot block the same number of attacks as the first 40. If it did you would be getting hit by -60% of attacks.

In case it isn't already obvious, that number is absurd.

However, at 40 defence you are being hit by 20% of valid attacks. At 45 defence you are being hit by 10% of valid attacks.

Half the number of hits does not mean double the number of misses. It does mean you are taking half as much damage.

If you die with 40 defence and are not being hit by enough damage to kill you twice over, 45 defence may have prevented your death.

Or you may need to take better care of your gerbil.
    *wild applause*

P.S. My gerbil liked it too.

I always skip Coyote's door mission -- and yes, of course you still level. Dropping a mission awards the mission-complete rewards.

Over time I've gotten to the point where it now bugs me if a toon DOESN'T have Real Number displays up for the stuff that interests me (typically: recharge rate, Damage, ToHit and Accuracy info, PvE stealth radius and, of course, wealth!).

I wasn't attempting to answer your "point i am trying to make", because it's not worth even taking the time to try.

This is the "Player Questions" forum ("Got a Question? Get an answer! Players helping players find information related to CoH/CoV."). By definition, you can't get an answer here (or anywhere else, likely) to the question you have.

You are simply going to have to wait for official information on GR from the devs, just like everyone. Continuing to ask over and over and over and over again really doesn't increase the chance you'll get actual, real dev-based information. Honest.

Actually, there are uses people have figured out for the power (aside from just RP or similar uses) -- some people use it for debt mitigation (i.e., using it preemptively before being defeated, because use of the power does not grant debt), and others use it as a travel power (i.e., use it and then zone to hospital or base, again debt-free).

Not my favorite power in the game either, but I've definitely seen occasions where it has one use or another.

I don't believe this has been stated categorically yet, actually. If it was, then it may have been during one of the individual Hero Con panels I didn't attend -- I know for a fact it was NOT addressed in the "main" GR presentation during the HC prenote address, nor during a couple of the panels that I did attend.

(That said -- I agree, I would GUESS that personally-carried items will travel with the character, but like 99.9% of GR subject matter, it's just that...a guess.)
