I should be able to shovel another billion onto the fire on the 21st as well.
It's starting to get warmer in this big ol' base! -
Yes, both arcs can be found in their respective sides' Ouroboros listing, within the level 25-29 range. Look for Vincent Ross (red-side) and Roy Cooling (blue).

Quote:Oh yeah...duh.um....the coralax codes have to be used right away don't they? I don't think you can snag one and put them on hold.
Since they're simply codes and you "claim" them by inputting the code into your account, that would make it kind of tough, huh?
Geez, now where did my Geritol and that cane get to...? -

Are you saying that you can only track up to 5 different attributes on a toon? If so, that's not true -- I have toons where I have 10+ statistics (i.e., stealth radius, various defense and resistance numbers, inf, accuracy, to-hit, damage, etc.) selected and tracked in my little 'real stats' window.

Quote:I very much doubt it -- the way I read that blurb is as "flavor text". I think it simply has to do with the story line of the event tied to getting the new badge.Does this mean that we are going to have to be able to go to Rogue Isles (IE not a Hero) in order to participate in this event? (Which will award the Cold as Ice badge)
I'm sure the new badge is available to all toons equally regardless of alignment. -
If any winners of the Coralax code are interested in a trade, I have a spare Ghoul code (given away at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010) I'd be more than happy to swap for one. Shoot me a PM if you happen to be interested.

Same here. Use the vidiotmaps site to locate them by map location and picture, possibly you're just barely missing them somehow.

I got it just now, and I know we took over 15 minutes for the entire mission (counting beginning to end, not just BM), so yes, obviously the timer is limited to certain "sections" of the mission -- I'm just not sure which sections those would be.

Quote:Well, at least according to my experience, this is not true.According to Dr. Aeon, you need to have done Maros' arc in order to have him as a helper, which is not the case for either of the other two helpers.
My badge character is a Scrapper (and nearly 6 years old), so has obviously only recently been a villain. When I began, it's true that Maros wouldn't speak to me, but after the first mission (after selecting the second mission), I WAS able to speak to him and work with him just like Snow Globe detailed above (switching between he and Ansaldo in my case). -
Quote:I don't see why it wouldn't, they are "normal" Legacy Chain enemies. Also; on the last mission does anyone think that the Legacy lieutenants will count toward the gladiator? Cause I'm thinking...lots and lots of lieutenants..that CANNOT damage you...I'm all over that!
I know there is not a way to track if they are counting or not; what does everyone think? -

Quote:Same here, and as I mentioned, I was brushed off by the contact with the standard dialogue. Before you go into the first mission go to one of the three contacts in person. As I was a hero turned villain, I didn't have any Sharkhead contacts. Good thing I knew where everyone was.
EDIT: Tried again, and was able to talk to Ansaldo successfully, so hopefully I can get the badge this time...
EDIT 2: Tried yet again, and used Snow's "alternate between two contacts" strategy, which did finally work. Thanks for the advice, guys. -

Thanks for mentioning this, Snow, I doubt I'd have noticed if you hadn't.
However -- as a Hero-gone-Villain-gone-Rogue (currently), my toon is unable to get any of the mission entrance radios to respond, including the one right at the beginning of the first mission in the arc (I'm using Ouroboros to access it, since I'm a 50). Since I seem unable to raise any of the three "side" contacts to interact with them, I was not able to earn the Connected badge (although completing the penultimate mission earned me the Keeper of the Coral Lore badge as might be expected).
Has anyone else had trouble like this? I tried re-running the arc again via Ouroboros, and still am unable to get the radio near the entrance to respond to my character (am I just missing something really obvious?). -

Yes indeed, thanks to all the exhaustive work you guys put into these, you make the gaming experience a lot more pleasant for quite a few people!

Congrats on all that phat lewtz!

Yeah, it's just been too long since I got that badge I guess (that is why I said it "may be the case"). Oh well.
Quote:This is incorrect. Rogues and Vigilantes operate exactly the same as far as badges go -- Vigilantes count as "pure heroes" (as you put it) for the same type of badges that Rogues count as "pure villains" for.Rogues count as "pure villains" for badges, and can earn any badge villains can except those that specify villain alignment (e.g., "Maintain villain alignment for 7 days"). It's vigilantes that can accumulate credit but can't earn a few specific series of badges until they complete the switch. -
Quote:Except for the important fact that with some badges, you can accrue credit toward the badge, but cannot receive the actual badge until you are a "pure" hero or villain (for instance, Day Job badges).Yes. For all purposes (whose bases they can enter; what contacts will talk to them; getting badges; etc), not involving alignment merits/missions/powers, Rogues count as villains.
I believe this may be the case with the badge in question also (although it's been awhile since I did it on my hero-turned-villain badge toon).
