No, as they are not Incarnate Trials (they are TFs).

  4. As always, the wiki is your friend. I believe this will be fairly close to what the OP is inquiring about.

Once you leave the hospital, you start earning iXP and threads again..

Not sure why its working that way, and it is probably a bug, but thats what is causing it.
I received a Shard while at the beginning of a Lambda run fighting the initial mobs surrounding the facility; nobody had died at that point, so in my case the hospital wasn't a factor. The bug seems to be more far-reaching than just the hospital map (at least in my experience).

That's simply not true -- you can turn Threads + inf into iXP. Check your Incarnate Abilities tab.
  7. Yay! With two new badges for unlocking a couple of Incarnate slots, I'm up to 1,201 now. W00t!

I agree they should be included on the i20 list like they are.
M-B beat me to it -- this exactly. I realize why Ms. Mesmer might count only 18 "new" badges in the total achievable, because they might already have been counted in the total achievable previously. Sorry for my unclear post.

Weren't there 21 new badges introduced with I20?

This method works great -- the extra logistics are totally worth it.

This was sorta my point -- I don't buy the "few people consider it useful" statement. "Few people consider it useful vs. its price"? Sure, I'll buy that -- but not a blanket statement that the item is considered useless by a majority of people. That's not been my experience.

Certainly -- but if the IO wasn't considered useful by a majority of people, would it be regularly trading for over a billion inf?

When I said "I saw him spawn" that was a literal statement -- I SAW him spawn in my toon's view by pure coincidence. I was flying around, not defeating daemons at the time.

And I never claimed it "doesn't always work" (if I made that claim, please show me where I did so) -- I said that he CAN be. My post was in no way an attempt to claim that, and I don't think it reads that way.

Edit to add: I agree with the position that just looking around is the best way to find Caleb, I'm just saying that you can't necessarily rely on the appearance of the zone event message for a number of reasons.

People are (seemingly regularly) paying upwards of a billion or two for an IO that most don't consider useful?

In the meantime, people purposely trying to spawn him and watching for an alert will think it's broken.
I can confirm from personal observation that Caleb can be spawned without generating the event alert. I saw him spawn on two separate occasions, but no event message (which I've observed at other times) was displayed. Of course these two instances could be bugs, but even if so it still seems that it can happen.

(And yes, I have the proper message mapped to my chat on all my characters. )

Ah, you're not into teaming and TFs for the most part, got it. Well, best of luck with getting your rare completed!

(And I'm glad I play on Victory, where the attitude you're referring to virtually doesn't exist -- people help others complete stuff all the time on non-optimized teams.)

Congrats! Just out of curiosity -- any particular reason you're waiting on I20 to do that?

So, then I took them back down and relisted them for 12,500. Haven't sold any at that price.

Basically I've spent a total of about 5 million inf so far, and made 54,000 inf back. So the experiment is not going well. If something changes, I am taking screenshots now and I'll start posting them, but right now it just doesn't seem to be worth the effort. Why do all that just to document a failure?
If you need some operating capital to keep going, Berzerker, please feel free to hit me up (send me a tell in-game at @EricNelson, or a PM here, whatever works for you) and I'll be happy to ship you whatever funds you would like so you can keep at it. Science is a harsh mistress, after all, and she needs her shiny baubles!

Yeah, I think Rabbit may be thinking about how Brainstorms used to work for a very brief time as crafting credit before they changed it. Empowerment buff crafting DOES definitely count for credit toward the crafting badges.

Yeah, the ton of Incarnate stuff I have no (current) use for is staggering. Which I know I'm going to be VERY happy about in just a few short weeks...
  23. I've never been so glad I decided to restrict myself to only one badge toon as when the Partner badge was announced...50 "excess" runs x2 (or more) toons? No thank you!

Completely agree with Fulmens here (which, I've found, is usually a very safe path to take).
