Sorry for the mental scars, but I thought that was the most epic image ever made, and the perfect way to describe the Pummit.

  3. Zwill, I got your back on this.

    Actually..

    I have a transcription...

It was supposed to be mostly Tox damage.

In all honesty, I am still in shock and awe. I had suggested the same thing at the previous pummit and it was barely looked at, so many people with for Retro Sci-Fi.

When I started hearing Film Noirs and Aztecs, I took it as read that one of those were going to get it.

I just threw everything I had into pitching the hell out of the set.

For those curious, my power set didn't even get up far enough for me to pitch. It was Disease Control or Infection, whichever name they preferred. A ranged damage set with low DMG but heavy on DoT and status effects.

    Player's Summit

Got home just a few hours ago.

Last count, I had 7 Mai Tais... and they were gooood.

On a more serious note, I wanted to thank everyone who liked my proposal for the Post-Apoc set. I am honestly shocked it made it to the final 3, considering some amazing concepts were put up there. In all honesty, I thought Aztec / Mayan was going to get it. I felt it would have fit thematically as a follow-up to Imperial Dynasty.

But I am deeply humbled who enjoyed my pitch and felt so strongly to let the Wastelands show themselves in Paragon.

For the Revamp a Zone, I wish we had known the criteria they were looking for. I had actually suggested Pocket D, due to it being a smaller zone with minimal mission content to worry about. I thought of them using TUNNEL there instead of just another transit system, adding AE, upgrading the graphics, updating the track list, and a VIP subscriber area for servers that do not RP to use it as a safe place to gather for Trials. ((also showing your Incarnate shifts))

Had I known the criteria, I would have suggested Nerva in a heartbeat. I can only hope Villains can steal Striga, though.

This was a blast, I'm glad Zwill and the team were kind enough to ustream it as well. It's one of the things I love about this game and it's dev team, it's dedication to it's players and openness.

Again, thanks to a wonderful team and a community that I am deeply honored to call my friends, and who humble me with their support.

    Much love,

    Arbiter Fabulous

Who's here as well? Virtue represent!
  9. Sushi Squad, hands down.

I miss the Zenvious crew, as well.

Stabbo the Clown, Mister Hide, far too many to list honestly.
  10. This does not seem to be time-locked. Past midnight and they are not auto-enabled upon logging in.

That's usually how the Marketplace is coded.

My guess is switch at the studio... so about 6-10 AM PST
  11. UPDATE: using zone doors do send you to proper zones. Tested on Perez, assuming same for Kings' Row.

Mission contacts do not exist on "Galaxy City".
  12. I had a name parked a while back hoping for Staff Mastery, this was done before Freedom launched.

I am assuming that alot of stuff went into making sure everyone went to appropriate zones during I-21, but with updates, this may need to be looked into.

I just did Outbreak and an standing in Galaxy City, the zone doors do not work.

    Steps to reproduce

    1. Have character Parked in Outbreak from before the launch of freedom, and one that had never been accessed during the duration of I21-and I22 launch.

    2. Log into character - you will be in Outbreak. No tech to kick you to appropriate tutorial will work.

    3. Complete the Tutorial Arcs.

    4. Upon talking to Coyote after they are completed, select Galaxy City.

Result: You will go into Galaxy City. NOT Echo: Galaxy City. BaBs is not there. Tram will not work.

    Expected Result:

    1. Entering Outbreak tutorial will result in you being logged into the Freedom tutorial.

    2. Entering Galaxy City should result in being shunted to Atlas Park.
  13. Just curious, is it possible to demorecord and CHANGE THE SKY shown in zones?

I mean let's see what Grandville with Nova Praetoria's sunny sky would look like or vice versa.

    DA with Night Ward's...

Just to see how these zones might appear and feel with minor tweaks to a background image.
  14. Arby Fab is SOOOO gonna ruin those costume pieces...
  15. Thank you! I don't know HOW that got changed. A few hours ago everything was in English. POOF!
  16. So for some odd reason when I access the forums everything is in German and I have no idea how to reset it to English, as I do not read German very well.

Is this just me or others as well?

    Hugs!

To those who have sent me Happy Birthday wishes on Twitter, Facebook and in private messages, I wanted to just make a post and thank you from the bottom of my heart. You, as a community, is why I love this damn game so much. *HUGS YOU ALL.. but not those shoes...*
  18. I wonder if I was the only person who saw this and wondered if something had happened and they were giving out the millions of XP hey used to, especially on a 2xp weekend.

Yes, they do need to be lowered in HP if they aren't to be reward worthy.
  19. As someone who has worked in the industry, I can honestly say that there is a very strict release schedule, and sometimes, the patches for us to test is not the only thing being worked on, such as prepping servers for such a release, making sure everything is compatible on the server side. This is a huge undertaking.

It may seem like devs are sitting on an issue, when they want to make sure that no players will have crashes or lose data. Believe me, when the game I worked on had patches, it would be almost an all nighter making sure servers stayed up, that having something that worked so well on a beta test didn't implode under the weight of being on live, that all aspects were equal on all live servers. What we see and what we play is such a small portion of what goes into this game.

As for Black Pebble, the man is amazing, I honestly am shocked at people who seem to think that anything that THEY don't like in the game is something to blame on him. Marketing does more than just say when to release an issue, or send out emails. It's coordination with websites, constant phone calls, verifying content, having such an exacting eye about everything, not to mention having to coordinate with the art team to get everything out. You think those splash screens every week for what's new in the market are easy to pull off?

We will get I22, when it's ready to come out of the oven, the timer is close to zero, as we know, so let's treat it like a souffle... No screaming or it might just collapse before we can enjoy it.

In the case of Texas Justice, a proper marinated steak and baked potatoes can be substituted for souffle. *grins*
  20. To quote Hunter S. Thompson...

“There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.”

So from all of us at Pocket D, we wish you well.

  21. Hey everyone!

I'm thinking of starting up a Master of Keyes event, I am curious what times and days of the week do you think this would be best done at?

I would like to run with 12 people, for ease of "avoids the green stuff".

Also anyone who is EXPERIENCED with running MoKeyes attempts, I could use your advice.
  22. Been dealing with support the last few days.

I got double charged on a purchase of Paragon Points, apparently the process to deduct them before issuing a refund is a bit wonky.

Ugg I can't buy anything and I'm down 50 bucks until they fix it.

    Calgon take me away!
  23. I'm curious how it is gambling if you are guarenteed a prize at the end of each one, true you have no control over WHICH prize you get.

To me gambling involves you having a chance at not receiving anything at the end. If you spend a dollar to get a pack, you DO GET 5 items. many of which are worth more than that one dollar.

Frankly, I kind of get a kick out of the random nature of it. Am I going to drop 20 bucks a week on super packs, no. Am I going to sometimes grab them, yes.

Also, note that this isn't a costume pack with a random nature to it. The costume parts are only a smaller portion, albeit the part most people like it seems. So to those who 'rolled bad' on getting your costume parts, you have a greater chance at the remaining ones, if you wanna drop a few more dollars, and you also have a mailbox FULL of spiffy new things. some of which are trade-able on the auction house.

You may not get what you like, but you DO GET SOMETHING, please remember that the other rewards have merit to them, in and of themselves.

Frankly, I like the idea of helping to fund this game a bit beyond my normal sub, and having this opportunity to have a bit of fun when I do it is welcome. Is it for everyone, no. But servers don't run on well wishes, happy posts about how much you love new costume parts and rainbows. This is a business, plain and simple, one that has, honestly, treated all of us real damn well. Not every game has a weekly ustream, not every game tries to see how they can get player feedback and incorporate it, not every game asks the players what they want or let's them design back of the game.

That's why I don't play just any game, I play City of Heroes. So do you. This game is known for it's amazing vibrant community, which everyone reading is a part of, dammit take pride in that for a second.

I'm not saying everyone needs to drop ever cent on super packs, but if and when you buy one, realize it's just a buck, not even enough to buy you a drink, and look at what it can get you, each and every time.

If you don't like them, that's also your prerogative, and that's fine too, but let's at least be civil about this, and not start doom crying.

We're better than that and you all know it.
  24. If I may put in my 2 cents?

I bought 24 of these, and in there I got.

1 full costume set by my 7th, which is cheaper than the normal bundles.

    675 merits

    11 ATOs

    68 enhancement boosters

countless dual inspirations, prestige/ inf / xp boosters

Honestly, I think I got a damn good deal.

Ok, either I'm not understanding this & thought I should be getting 23 more chances (having bought the 24 superpack) or that 1440 points only bought 1 chance at 5 random cards & can you say RIP OFF???
Ok, go to your mail it will say super pack (1) under that will be QUANTITY.

you claim them one at a time, in case you wanted one character to claim one, or another to claim another.

you will have 23 more packs in your email at this point.
