Didn't get the MoBo and videocard replaced until about 930, then of course came the 50 or so reboots after each new installation. Sigh
-
Can you put me down as tentative? My PC crapped out on me last week. The new MoBo and video card should be here today.

I think they need to provide personal storage off character like in the case of the salvage vault. Many players have circumvented the 10 enhancement limitation by creating their own SG and storing enhancements there. However I personally find that method counter productive unless you can get into a coalition with a larger SG.
I don't agree with Posi's statement on being generous by letting us keep enhancements after a respec. This game is NOT the same as it was 5 years ago, players can not help it if the devs make changes to the game mechanics or powers. More times than not those changes require respecs. Examples E.D. and the GDN. -
I agree, just look at the ridiculous tags put on this thread...

It came in VERY handy while I was in the RWZ a few weeks back, I almost forgot I had the power too.

Quote:Hax! Exploitz! They already can, by turning off XP. And in Issue 16, if you have a friend who is willing to turn off XP, you can exemplar to them and stay at their level indefinitely while still gaining XP. You can run level 15 content, with level 20 powers, all the way to level 50 if you want.
... in fact, you could level to 50 on Posi TF runs with stamina. Huh. -
Quote:This makes a lot more sense. Open all the available content via Ouroboros... Ouroboros is a very good way of visiting outlevelled arcs - so if there's anything missing from that, much better to add it in than to produce another "new" system.
Another point is that if you allow people to "self-exemplar" they could potentially stick at a certain level ad-infinitum and that makes me uneasy.
They can currently do that by turning off XP. I've turned XP off on a level 15 toon I have so that I can roll random recipes in hope of getting low level procs.
I have no plans on ever turning XP back on with that toon. -
Good suggestions on a whole.
I'd also like to see a useful defender inherent power -
Quote:It's a good place to buy Inspirations too.Of course not. People still need to get from Talos to Atlas Park.
It's an excellent idea that I'm sure a lot of players will use. Off the bat I wouldn't use it though because I can't STAND the pre-stamina game and have experienced all the low level content at some point in time.
But I'm sure I'll find a way to put it to good use, I mean one can never have enough level 15 procs... -
They nerfed Statesman's height?!
-
IMO late game is 40+. That's when I tend to solo more unless I'm on a defender (soloing doesn't make much sense)
And there is no end game, just an endless cycle. Merits curbed my altitis but didn't cure it completely. -
Quote:Hmmm maybe I shouldn't have said anything, I can see it being nerfed alreadyIf that makes you happy, then I think that's great Bill. I'll be right there with you plowing through an 8 player sized mob day in and day out. I'll probably keep them at around level 50ish to max out on kills per minute and thereby purples per hour. That's just me though.
Now with the Architecht, if you're happy writings stories just for yourself, then I think that is great for you. See me.. I write stories that only I ever get to see all the time. I can't not do it. It just happens. I have thousands of them, everywhere you look in my home. Any time you talk to me, chances are you'll remind me of something I wrote a long time ago.
But with Architecht, I was hoping to write for someone else's enjoyment. My achievement that doesn't matter here really is writing for someone else. And that just got a bit harder. -
Quote:I haven't gotten a chance to log onto test but I have a quick question. If maxing kills per minute and purples is what you are going after, why not run a 50 and set missions to level 47 and 8 man spawn? If that makes you happy, then I think that's great Bill. I'll be right there with you plowing through an 8 player sized mob day in and day out. I'll probably keep them at around level 50ish to max out on kills per minute and thereby purples per hour. That's just me though.

As long as you still get the rez XP, I don't see a big problem. I wonder if tougher or more annoying groups will have their XP increased, such as KoA or DE?

I will be moving this weekend but I'd like to join on some of these. I'll shout out in game or on vent if I get my net up in time for any of these. I will be bringing Enigma Sauce

I think it was the way he put it that pissed the moderators off. He had far worse offenses including the infamous Rick Roll incident.
I wonder if you can "turn" off power animations with I16? -
Quote:I think the problem lies with players trying to define something that isn't clearly definable.
My ingame time is considered casual, 10 hours a week now. However, when I'm ingame I like to find the best loot to make my characters represent my mind's goal for them. Even if finding the loot takes weeks or months, I will eventually finish the build(s).
Is that 'hardcore?' Not from where I sit.
I see hardcore as someone who takes the game mightly seriously and puts forth much more effort into leveling, learning and completing their builds.
I use to be 'hardcore' but now I just enjoy my time ingame; blasting, defending, chatting, selling, buying, respecing, etc.
I for one have always thought of "hardcore" gamers (in CoH) to be the ones that whip out the math; the ones that discovered and put to use the numbers before they were made available. I can think of a half dozen from the scrapper forums alone.
I asked for people to define what they considered casual and hardcore to help understand their side of the argument, also the jerk laden replies were getting old and wasn't doing much for the betterment of the discussion. Once posters started expressing what they define casual and hardcore as helped me to understand where they were coming from whether I agreed with them or not.
Personally I used to play about 25 hours a week, now it's more like 5. I still have tons of influence and enjoy creating concepts and maxing their attributes out.
Taking everyone's definitions of causal and hardcore into account, I guess I'm a casual player with hardcore tastes?
