Quote:I have a slight downtime for Hasten on my DM/SR, I have yet to run into end problems. I rarely even use Dark Consumption for endurance recovery, I use it more as an attack. The one thing I don't understand about wanting perma-hasten nowadays is that Hasten combined with the recharge bonuses you need to get hasten into the perma range well reduce your attack recharge times to the point that if you don't have someone buffing your endurance recovery, you'll run out of endurance faster than a Gunstar after Death Blossom.

Quote:Thanks.I've never heard this before either, and know of no reason to expect it to be true. Barring some good evidence to the contrary, I'm chalking it up to perceptions. We've been told explicitly that drop rates are a function of mob rank and nothing else. I think that makes this very unlikely unless mobs in RV have rank labels that lie about what they really are and they're actually uniquely ranked entities with different drop rates. I can't imagine the devs going through that effort.
I just went into RV with my DM/SR, my positionals went from 47% to 33% and I lost 2 points of regen. Combine that with the heal decay I think it's safe for me to say I won't be going back there. Whether or not mobs in RV have a higher rate to drop purples is now a moot point to me because even if they do it's not worth it when compared to an 8 man mission spawn. -

I have tried my hand an PvPing not too long ago. PvP isn't my cup of tea but as a player that loves incentives I find the timer to be ridiculous. Much like running a shard TF I don't mind doing content I don't particularly enjoy if the rewards are sufficient. In order for me to go back to PvPing the recipe drop timer needs to be removed.

Quote:That's one of my favorite movies of all time. I have it on DVD and never noticed CoH 2 in the background, I'll have to check it out.ok well not really, but if you watch the movie Grandma's Boy at exactly 12:01 (chapter 3) in there it shows lineage 2 and city of Heroes 2 on the dry erase board on the wall!
also I just spotted another CoH sighting in the movie. there is a CoH collectors edition box sitting on a shelf right next to a Guild Wars box in Samantha's office 34:17
Since the movie has been out a while I am sure its been seen before but hey, I'm an avid CoX fan and I just saw that for the first time lol. -
Hmm lots of similar choices above that I would have mentioned. I know you said low spawning, but I honestly spend so little time at the lower levels it was easier to come up with an overall list.
KoA: Annoying caltrop spam and for a group that thematically has small numbers they don't even give you a badge.
Malta: The stuns are way to much. I've been stunned and had teams move on to three or four more mobs before it even wears off.
Wailers: Stacked -Res is a killer... literally. And they are one ugly group!
Longbow: The entire crew just makes me sick, individually they aren't much of a threat, but put a nice mix of Minions, LTs and a Boss in there and it's nothing but problems.
Rikti Guardians: I don't know who's idea it was to have them stack bubbles but it wasn't a good one.
Hydra: Toxic damage... need I say more?
Nemesis LTs: I'm not 100% sure but I do beleive that their vengeance stacks
Soldiers of Rularuu: The bosses, each one is nasty in it's own way, but I think the Overseers are the worst due to Optic Blast and Chomp.
Any badguys that run/scatter including but not limited to: Cabal, Longbow, Gold Brickers and anything else with a jetpack -
Quote:The build has generic IOs not set IOs yet as I'm not sure which direction I'm going to take him yet. I have 3 dam res in each armor, which still doesn't seem to matter. He is over the cap in energy resistance but sub par to all other types. I probably won't spend any cash on IO sets as he is not fun to play at all. I'll probably be retiring him right after Iso's.Eh, you weren't doing that bad, EB. How IO'd out are you? You're going to get a lot stronger with more recharge and +health (for that heal... energize, right?). Getting some defense is a great addition to any resist set as well... even getting to 20% would make a big difference. Especially since you have a couple of heals (I know it makes a big difference on my MA/Regen Scrapper).
Resist sets are a bit more tricky on Scrappers (heck any defense set is too... WP feels downright wimpy compared to how it feels on a Tank set), so I get what you mean about SR... it's quite nice unless the RNG hates you (or if you're doing a bunch of MA missions... it seems like most of those mobs get +accuracy when created).
All I remember saying to myself during that TF was "I should have played my SR" over and over and over again. -
Quote:I don't think I will ever make another resistance based scrapper, not unless they come up with damage resistance recipes with better bonuses. When I'm on my DM/SR I can usually clear entire rooms on Citadel by myself, this time I could barely defeat one mob. Sigh...No worries, Ham. I think we had 12 people playing over the course of the night, so it wasn't technically cheating.
Anyway, I'm sure me and DC had xp turned off last night (well, most of it for me... I thought the level range was 37 since I got done earlyish last week and I was 2 bars short... the levels in the SG window seemed to indicate that's where we should be), since we both mentioned it. Not sure how well others did.
It was crazy, though... we suddenly had enough to start two Citadel runs (almost, picked up a few to pad us out to eight on both teams), and then a couple people showed up during the run. Crazy... thought it was going to be quiet, but we turned out pretty busy.
DC's team whomped my team's Citadel time by about 20-25 minutes. Since Voo wasn't there, I blame Enigma Black... it had nothing to do with one of our Scrappers lagging, dropping, and not contributing 100% all of the time at all. At all, I say! *shakes fist* Or DC's team having five Scrappers and a Blaster... yeah.
Anyway, it was a fun night. The Citadel run was nice and smooth, and running through more story arc missions (as usual) with DC was cool too before I left. I would have liked to stay for another mission or two, but I was dragging last night. It's been a long semester. -
I may be around not 100% sure yet it all depends on what time the guests will arrive. If I am I'll be down to run Cit!

Make sure they don't try and charge you for the time you are down!

I'm never usually the one to want to limit what players do, but I have to agree with this. It makes very little to no sense to allow players under 35 to enter the war zone when the badguys con 35+ and there are very little misisons when compared to other zones (besides Cimeroa). I don't participate in raids, but I would suggest the team leader kick the leeches or simply refuse putting them on their team.
The AE building in the zone never made sense to me, and as others have suggested would be better suited in Pocket D, there is enough space and some areas can be consolidated/eliminated such as the separate bars. -
That was lots of fun, I expected much more lag with all the debuffs etc going on as we went General to General. Can't wait for another all Def TF!
-
I take it my Rad/Sonic is too low for your run. My other Defenders don't need merits as their builds are complete. Good luck though.

Do the red names have the "I win" power? If so can I make them clear Axis America maps over and over again for two hours?
Seriously though
What powers do the red name toons have? What ATs? -

Won't be around tonight. I mistakenly agreed to go to dinner tonight forgetting it was Wednesday
. I need a personal assistant to help me keep track of things...

Quote:I've been asking for this for at least two years! A choice between Cryonite Armor and the Wedding Band would be awesome.IIRC, Veteran Rewards currently don't have any defensive power options. A short-ish defensive buff tailored towards particular damage types could certainly be viable.
... or we might just get some new base items. ;-)
Aside form that I'd gladly take double the slots of the 66 month reward along with 2 character slots -
Is this with default colors or customized?

An open world for both factions using the same coding as co-op zones would be interesting. I for one would be able to finally stomach playing a villain if I didn't have to deal with the Isles.
While the hero side is full of content; the villain side is robust with enemy groups. I can't wait to see what content GR and side switching has to offer each faction.
