Can you put me down as tentative. Either a Rad/Sonic Defender or Dark/Fire Corr.

Quote:Teams shouldn't rush into the goo anyways, it's better to start with the ones on the edge and work around and in, by the time you start to make you way fully into the goo there should be less mitos. Every LGTF I've been on that used that tactic has never had a death on the Hami mission.Eh. Once you're inside the goo, healing is a moot point.
A big thing that people need to remember; if you're running for safety, Hamidon has the range of the entire bowl and will continue firing as LONG as he sees you. So just running out 100' and then running back and forth each time he lobs another round at you is a bit useless.

Quote:I always hated playing healers because of that sorta thing. Why don't injured folks run toward the healers? Imagine it in a real life scenario...you're badly injured...naturally the thing to do is run screaming away from the paramedics...
Hehee...I'm just messing around. I think the primary thing on his mind was get the heck out of range of Hami's Beam of Anti-Penny Badge Obtainment, and didn't know it's impossible in the fishbowl Hami sits in. :P
I'd be happy to try for the badge again if you try another run.
Best thing to do is have all the range folks stay together since they are the squishiest, then an spam AoE heal. When I play one of my darks or rads that's what I usually do, it's easier than running around trying to catch up to players, but we know that's easier said than done.
I've only tried a few master runs master runs, one successful MoITF and one MoKTF which we had one death when Reich smashed our Tank, that was the strategy we used on both. The others were MoSTF which I would like to try again sometime if it becomes popular again (Hoping so with side switching). -
Quote:Oh how I hate those pylons when going from mission to mission. If I'm on a squishy I usually have to fly really high and/or pop some purples and keep my "finger" on the respite trigger.Mental Giant is ready to go, I just need to change the color of all my bubbles to pink to match the Psy Powers.
I did some tests this morning and with PFF + Dispersion up I can laugh at Pylons. No embarrassing between-mish death for me!
Too bad you can't use temp powers during the Masters run or you could just have someone durable go to the mission door and team tp everyone else. -

She should consider herself lucky seeing that it was Chuck Norris. I wouldn't doubt if she's still feeling the effects today...
Does anyone know what movie or TV show that's from? I never did figure it out. -
This may be a bit much but:
I first started playing because as a kid I was always into DC comics, my older brother forbid me to collect Marvel since that was his thing. And not wanting to risk a beat down, I complied. Well I stopped collecting them once I graduated HS, but I was still an avid video game player. Years rolled by with me playing console games, you name the system and I had it. Although I loved playing RPGs such as Zelda, Phantasy Star, Persona etc I never thought of playing a MMORPG.
I can't recall whether I found out about CoH on the channel that is now called G4TV or if my younger brother told me about it from reading a Wizard magazine. Either way I figured I'd take a shot at it, pre-purchased the game and signed up for closed beta. I thought that the game was the most unique thing I have ever played, much different from the traditional console RPGs I was used to and didn't have that "medieval" feel. The first two or so years my older and youngest brothers played CoH. The older one went back to WoW, and my younger brother went back to consoles (and I took his account muahahaha); although he comes back from time to time.
Since then many of the players I originally played with have moved on. Even though I've been on that edge my self many a times, and my in-game time has dropped significantly over the past year, the main reason I stay is that the game is a nice way for me to relax after work. -
Quote:I know DS and DP are Going Rouge exclusive but are KM and EC also?Going Rogue contains Praetoria, the new power sets, the start of the Incarnate system and the side switching system - you will need to own a copy of GR to access them.
They might revamp some older content to be the main part of the free Issue though - the new Positron Tf was very well received by a lot of players., so they could be intending to fix some other troublesome content for I18. -

Quote:It's better to have a delayed product that is closer to being 100% done than to release it early and it be filled with huge bugs."NCsoft and Paragon Studios are proud to announce that players will have the opportunity to walk the line between good and evil (or cross it), on August 17th, 2010 with the release of City of Heroes Going Rogue. City of Heroes Going Rogue is the second paid expansion in the City of Heroes® franchise."
....So they are PROUD that GR is delayed? I would not exactly use that word when telling eager paying customers that a product already paid for by many is not coming out on the original date specified. -
I hadn't read that they were exclusive to GR, I was under the impression that you would still be able to roll heroes/villains with the new sets (but not rogues/vigilantes). That sucks, so I have to wonder if this is true, then why even bother with releasing I18 concurrently and why not just call I19 I18?
Unless it's I18: Market Merge. That sounds catchy...
Edit: I almost forgot about the other huge long pushed aside event that is finally fixed (Don' think I can talk about it due to NDA). Maybe that will be what I18 is named? -
I never have any luck with these types of giveaways. I'm going to stop risking getting fired now, I know my network admin must have a few pages full of my refreshing the forums as well as Facebook page. Good luck to everyone else.
Maybe in the future you should try randomly emailing 10 current subscribers from NA and EU? -
Quote:I believe that GR will be just for Pretoria and it's related content (including side switching system) and I18 will include the new power sets, market merge, QoL improvements and everything else not exclusive to Pretoria/Incarnates or side switching. So while it's technically GR and I18 they have been working on both simultaneously. This way if you didn't purchase GR you'd still have something to look forward. That would leave 4 months in 2010 which I doubt they could push two issues out in that time. Which is a good thing for someone like me with two accounts as I can wait until the end of the year to see if there are any holiday sales for GR then I can apply that to my second account.I found the post I was look for and it was by Avatea. It was not stated directly, but since it is in the closed beta forums I don't dare say more than I would be willing to bet a large sum of money that Issue 18 will come out at the same time as, or very closely to the time GR releases (before or after, hard to say). It seems the two may actually be linked and have to come out at the same time.
I am actually suprised, to be honest, that they haven't talked about Issue 18 at all as a separate Issue or even named it. Especially since you have to buy GR to play the content, but Issue 18 will be "free" to everyone. Seems they would want to push that a little. Weird. -
Hence the "skip the GR release" comment. It may make sense for people that may be back in school come September etc to wait for the next issue. The issue after GR may be November/December there may even be holiday deals for the box set by then.
-
Hmmm I just realized that since GR is slated for the end of August, that leave time for only one update If we're lucky) before the end of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if some players skip the GR release and just wait until more content is released in the next issue.

And when I said it there was no way GR would be out in July people thought I was trolling. At least there will be two weeks of playtime before school starts...
Edit:
Since it will be released a month later is anything planned in between that time? Double XP weekend? Zone events? Invasions? Better yet how about 2xXP from July 20th-GR release date?
