I feel so behind now...
I only managed to unlock the Alpha slot on my DM/SR due to limited play time plus it's easier to jump in and solo rather than look for a team.
I didn't get to run any TFs but I'm planning to lurk around the server pretty much all day either Saturday or Sunday. -
Quote:Thank you for pointing this out! Although I'm sure there are some that will still not get the point. The result? Had they published I19 on the 16th (like they were trying, but never guaranteed, to do) and applied the fix to the problem then every single character that respeced between the launch and the fix would have lost all enhancements and slots in the old Inherent Fitness and would have to have respeced again to regain their lost slots. However, all the enhancements (like those expensive Numina's and Performance Shifters) that were in the old Inherent Fitness would still be lost.

Quote:I guess that's the reason I said "as far as I'm concerned". Everyone has their own expectations. 3 months seems like "yesterday" to me, why? Baseball playoffs, Football season, new seasons of First 48, Survivor, Dexter, East Bound and Down, and not to mention checking out Spartacus Blood and Sand. I guess what I'm getting at is I'm not sweating a couple of weeks delay if it means getting it right, especially knowing some project development models explicitly forbid working OT (and they may not have the money to pay for it anyway). If you're fine with missed release dates or waiting longer for i19, thats fine, but c'mon, lol.
I19 was released 3 months ago, not 'like yesterday'.
The main point of issue 19, the alpha slot, was supposed to be in going rogue to begin with, and even when it releases, we won't be getting the full alpha slot, so claiming they are 'on schedule' is ridiculous. As far as I'm concerned, the second half of going rogue (and the better half imo), is LONG overdue.
And finally, 3 updates (2 of which were supposed to be in one update, and we're assuming i19 will be launched before 2011...) out of a, as you yourself stated, 'promised' 4, is not 'all good', it's another failure to deliver what they 'promised' us. Outside of the ridiculously devoted, that results in disappointed customers and loss of business, which hurts the devs, the game and everyone still playing it.
Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the 'little guys' working on the game (the work they do overall is outstanding, which is why I love this game), this is most likey the fault of those at the top, looking to maximize profits using methods that actually will end up killing them, like swapping out experienced workers for newbs and/or cutting employees all together, while pushing unrealistic work goals, and more damaging, making promises they continually miss on, which is only going to result in more and more disappointed customers.
Having said that, you absolutey cannot release an update if it cripples an entire AT. However that doesn't change the fact that a company needs to deliver on its promises and/or stated goals consistently to continue to be successful.
If players are upset about the delay, that's their prerogative; they have every right, but I have to wonder if it were to be released buggy would they complain about that? -
I18 just came out like yesterday, relax. As long as I19 comes out during the calendar year 2010, they are on schedule as far as I'm concerned. That would be three issues this year. One less than the promised 4 updates or quarterly updates originally promised, but considering there were some years we only got two updates, it's all good.
Just get it right instead of giving it to us right now... -
I may pick up the science pack and may pick up the $10 GR complete edition just in case I ever reactivate my second account.

Going to Alpha my DM/SR scrapper first. The reason being is that I want to switch to inherent fitness on the toons I use the Incarnate system on; but I don't have the patience to deal with the respec system on all the toons I'd eventually like to alpha out. The only drawback is I find scrappers aren't in as high demand as support toons when it comes to running TFs so it may be a long road for me.

My favorite power to use as a 50 in AP is
Speed Boost
Inertial Reduction
I feel like such a nerd for helping -
Relationships won't last unless you make compromises. For some video games are a way to get away from the "real world" at least for a bit. I do believe that you have to be wary that it doesn't take you away from the "real world" too much. She should be willing to let you enjoy playing games, but you should also be willing to spend time doing things together. Women hate feeling like they have to compete for a guys attention.
But if you don't really like her and the nagging in getting to be too much; there are plenty other women out there. -
Quote:I hear you. To me they are more like "skins".cover charge isn't exactly the problem, I am referring to food and booze
BTW, I don't really want my costume code since it is useless unless I can deconstruct the costume pieces into individual pieces... so if anyone wants my costume code let me know
I've always been of the opinion that by defeating enemies they should have a chance to "drop" costume pieces unique to that group. Like I smacked that Rikti so hard his gloves came off type of thing. -

Quote:From the discussion:The RSVP isn't mandatory usually, they just want to know how many people are going to show up so they can gauge how much merch to bring. In the unlikely event that too many people show up, I assume they would just go on a first come-first served basis.

Wouldn't it be lovely for a bit more clarification? I was over here scratching my head wondering if I need to purchase a CC ticket (Don't think I'm going to that this year) or wondering if I need to RSVP (no mention of that in the announcement). I would hate to take an hour long train ride from Brooklyn just to be turned away at the door. I decided to check out the CoH Facebook page and sho nuff there is a RSVP to the event from the FB announcement. I used to love it when we used to get the latest information from one source, the CoH boards. However once again it seems FB and Twitter trump the CoH boards. Which is a pity since every player has access to the boards, but not every player has FB or Twitter...

It just dawned on me to check the City of Heroes Facebook page to see if they announced it. Sho nuff they did. The event even has a RSVP. Once again Facebook/Twitter > CoH Boards.
If we don't have to RSVP they should have said so in the announcement. I'm assuming that there is a need for RSVP so they know if they are over capacity or not but I could be mistaken. -
I don't think I'm going to Comic Con either. The crowds are a bit too much for me. I want to go to the M&G but I have no idea whether we can just show up or not. Hopefully they will be more through with the communications leading up to the M&G.
-
Okay I'm slow, but how do we get to the meet and greet? It's not part of comic con so what do we just show up to the Hudson Hotel? I'd hate to spend an hour on the train only to be turned away at the door.
-
When is it? I should be able to attend.
Okay never mind I see. I forgot about buying my tickets to Comic Con in advance. Hope they still offer them.
Actually just read the announcement. It says nothing on how to get to the M&G or whether you have to RSVP. I don't think I want to spend an hour on the train just to be turned away. -
Lately it's all of them. For some reason they seem to run a lot more. It's really annoying playing on a SR.
Before that it was the KoA. They way they stack those caltrops is nasty. -
Had I know about this bug I would have been played more often the last couple of weeks.
