That was what I was supposed to ask, what do you have Rad infection slotted for? To hit or defense debuff? Or both? I'd use the Incarnate slot for whichever you don't have slotted. Just so many choices out there. I'm having a similar issue with my Rad/Sonic defender. I think I may just accumulate components now and use them once I figure these powers out.
-
Without looking at the numbers for the Incarnate powers and without knowing what you might be lacking in your build, I'd think on a sonic/rad you'd have -res covered already. I'd go for -Def or -ToHit. But that fire proc in the -Res just looks so good it's hard to pass up!
For Lore I would choose the Clockwork, because I like the supplemental healing you get from the Mender.
For Destiny I'd choose Ageless because I LOVE recharge! -
I've always been of the opinion that every group should have a giant, either robot or monster
-
It's been reported that it doesn't (which is why I was rushing)and support pretty much gives an answer to the effect of "Sucks to be you try again next time"

Quote:LR isn't a toggle.
I'm thinking it has to do with pulse versus static ground-based powers. EQ works (confirmation on that needed, I'm pretty sure I saw the LTs popped up and down a couple of times), and it pulses.
Quicksand and Tar patch are static? Confirmation on trip mine working or not is needed, and I *think* it's a static effect triggered by proximity. Poison trap is static, and curious if it would have any effect if it can be triggered (more for the -regen for the hell of it?). The electrical control patch is a pulse and a rapid sleep dot, so curious if that would have an effect.
I'd imagine all of this would have been hashed out in beta, but I'm too lazy to search.
I can get 17 mines and 6 poison traps out at once, I'll put them directly on the path in a huge cluster so we'll see next run... -
That's what I did before picking the first reward. Opening one more window where there isn't too much room left on screen isn't ideal IMO. Also I felt pressed for time, in the back of my head I was expecting to get disconnected at any moment.
-
It was the Lts I tried holding, the minions didn't make it far before they were cut down. All of them however seemed to run trough Tar Patch like it was a puddle of water.

I'm not liking the new UI either. Not only is it too "blocky" for me, the chat window takes up way too much space.
I've only ran both trials once each, both successful so there may be some things I missed. I really like the change of pace for these new trials, players should be patient though. There were times when the Sewer Trail was "impossible". Once players get the hang of things I think these trials may be more popular than some of the level 50 TFs.
Last night after running the BAF, I got booted from the league instead of getting the "enter league" confirmation dialog. My chat log said I quit my team, but my hand was nowhere near my mouse at the time. Annoying to say the least as there was no option to reenter the event, because I got booted right when it started.
The Incarnate system is getting a bit too cumbersome for my likes, way too much going on. For example after running the BAF I had to try and scramble to figure out which reward to choose, as I didn't want to lose the reward box if I zoned. I ended up taking something randomly. I guess I'll have to make a list of all my 50s, what Incarnate powers I want for them, and what I need to craft them. That's more work than I'd like to do for a video game, but at this point that seems to be the best option. -
I had a blast running the BAF with Ele yesterday (Thanks Ele!). My first run and it was easier than I expected. Went to run it again with mostly the same awesome league, but instead of getting the confirmation to start, I got booted off the team. My chat log said I quit the team, but my hand was nowhere near my mouse at the time.
Does anyone know if holds work on the prisoners? I tried to spam Petrifying Gaze and couldn't hold any of them, not even with the hold proc slotted. Although I wanted to concentrate on my Fire/Dark Corruptor, I'm interested in seeing how Poison trap and mines will work on them. Hopefully I'll get to run two or three of them tonight. -
Maybe next we'll have Incarnate Slices, and 8 slices will equal one Incarnate Pie...

Quote:If the above is true then it appears that we have been encouraged to repeat the same content over and over again collecting shards for the last two issues for what reason? It's almost like investing time/money into a stock that the seller knows won't be worth much in the future but encourages you to buy it. You also can't resell it or trade it for something else so you're stuck with it.The reason I say there will be a new salvage for the new powers is the same reason we got threads instead of just using Shards again - the Devs will not want everyone to be able to stockpile enough components to just have everything on day one of the new powers going live. They will want you to do the content.
I think the altitis solves most of the "have enough shards for new powers on day 1" issue.
If someone stockpiles enough shards for the new powers day one I doubt they will stockpile them in copious amounts across all their eligible toons. And if so, they earned it by playing the content, they might as well be able to use it for something useful to them. -
The system is confusing to me, but over time I gather I'll get the hang of it. Having less time to play I have found myself in limbo over the last couple of days trying to wrap my head around what I want/need, how I get it etc. I'm thinking I may have to cut back down to one account and concentrate on just one toon for Incarnate content. There is just too much going on for my altitis to be anything but a hindrance.
Sometimes less is better devs -
Quote:Who said I needed to learn a new OS? I'm well versed in a couple flavors of Linux. I stated I'd have to figure out a way to get CoX to run on that platform. Big difference.Let me be the first to say "HEH!"
So you're looking to play the game with "no hassles".
So you're going to go to operating platforms that are afterthoughts and require third-party software to run. More over you're going to spend a bunch of time, money, and effort teaching yourself a new operating system.
DOES NOT COMPUTE!
Also, speaking from experience here, Mac and Linux have their own hassles. Just different ones (usually).
I currently play CoX on a MacBook, I have no problems with CoX on that machine that I do not have on any of my Windows machines.
As far as spending extra cash, I'd gladly trade the extra cash for less hassle. With a Windows machine it's always something, never fails. -
I was able to run a Lambda with FMP early evening, it's really fun. I also got my first I20 disconnect (yah!) during it, luckily it wasn't during Marauder. I really like the change of pace from the other level 50 content. I may abandon my plans to level up my Fire/Rad Corruptor and play the new level 50 content in my limited play time.
I'm trying to get used to the new team UI, I'm glad they left the option to go back to the original if you want.
Although I was only on for about 2 hours, I think this is issue, much like Charlie Sheen, is WINNING! -
Not for nothing, but a couple of years ago I purchased an OEM 64 bit version of XP from New Egg, according to Microsoft it is not "genuine" and it won't update either. That was and will be my last Windows based machine. I'd rather pay the extra cash for a Mac that will give me less hassles. Or when I get extra time, blow that machine out and try to figure out a way to run CoX on a Linux box.

He is, but sometimes I want him to stay put while I toggle heard a room around a corner into Tar Patch. He'll of course follow me like a good fluffy, but once he engages a group he stays with them until he's dead (which isn't very often). I'd like him to follow me regardless so I have to dismiss him first. I really miss the days when I could have three fluffies out at once...

I absolutely love my Fire/Dark Corruptor, damage, debuffs and a pet (even though it's half brain dead). As someone that prefers Scrappers I find myself left out of many of TFs because it seems as if everyone wants to play on their Scrapper when I'm on mines. But with a Fire/Dark you have the right mix of ranged damage, debuffs and heals.
Below is my build, it's pre Inherent Stamina. I'm far too lazy to convert the build now. But I did pick up the Power Mastery pool over Mace Mastery only because the Villain power pool Sarifina mission keeps crashing on me for the last two months. I also picked up the Incarnate Cardiac set.

Quote:I prefer this version also, along with any extra badguys I "accidentally" toggle pull...I'd much rather do a steamroll version of the ITF where you just kill everything in your path, but don't go out of your way to clear maps. You can run 2 or 3 steamroll runs in the time it takes to do a kill all or kill most and your drop rate will probably be higher because you're not wasting time looking for edge of the map groups, you're just taking out what's in front of you. Plus you get 2 or 3 end of TF bonuses instead of just one.
-
I'd honestly rather have a "pet" pet. Like a dog, cat, or bird. That would have went perfectly with the Animal pack. I can also see it being popular with the role players.
-
8 Nemesis and a Warhulk... that's scrapper heaven!

Quote:Purples may not be a big deal to you, but they are some what of a big deal to me because I enjoy outfitting them on my melee toons. It is because of the rarity of the drops that I'd rather the WST have been kept to level "50" TFs. Personally I probably won't run any of the low level WSTs but once on my rogue toon just to get the badges needed for accolades. In the meantime I'll take it as an opportunity to run ITFs.Purples aren't a big deal. Nobody's really guaranteed purples while doing any content. Odds of someone getting a purple during a TF are pretty low anyway. Maybe one person gets one purple every dozen TFs I do.
Shards are legitimate. But that's changing in i20. I would've liked it to be now, but I can deal. I did five SMSFs yesterday. Four under an hour, one 1:20. I won't be doing any repeats of course.
I guess I'm looking at it too much from the rewards standpoint.
50 TFs
Shards, Purple drops, Full bonuses, Alpha access
<50 TFs
No shards for now, no purple drops, less bonuses, generally longer TFs -
Quote:I understand not wanting <50 players to feel they got the shaft; but on the flip side running these TFs excludes level 50 players from purples, shards etc. So either way someone is getting shafted. It would have just made more sense to me if they waited until I20 for the lower level TFs, or released that feature in 19.5 so even if we miss out on purples, we'd at least be getting shards.Well, all the TFs have bonus merits involved as well as a huge chunk of XP as a bonus at the end.
They are probably spreading it out so those players who don't have a 50 at all don't feel like they're being shafted by the WST only being for Incarnate characters. The WST is for everyone, not just Incarnates, and not just for people that bought Going Rogue. Everyone gets the bonus XP and bonus merits, and Incarnates get a Notice of the Well along with it.
I'm planning on running it with characters who need it for TFC, or who I want to get a little closer to 50, because that bonus xp (1/3rd, half, or 2/3rds of an entire level) is HUGE for a character in the 40s. I may or may not run it on my main, depends on how I'm feeling at the time, and being a Claws/Regen he exemps well.
On a side note:
Now mind you I'm only speaking from the standpoint of level 50s I have. I'm aware that others don't and will not feel the same as I do.
Double XP is good but as a 50... not so much; even as Inf.
Double merits are okay, but I despise the current reward roll system and feel, for the most part rolling at level 50 is a waste of merits because you get mostly level 50 junk. I rolled through 200 merits at 35-39 and came off with a bunch of "Crap of the Hunters" and "Ghost Widow's Disgrace" at level 50. My opinion is if I put my slider at 35, the recipe I roll should be 35
