Quote:Oh yeah, I remember that run, we got a little overzealous and started charging things, which caught up with us on Numina and her LB friends.
I was the brute on that run, eventually after the ambushes kept killing all the squishies off, I gave up on Reichs and started clearing the ambushes up. The tank eventually died while he was solo against Reichsman. Once everyone got back we finished clearing the ambushes and then finished Reichsman off.
Having a stalker, or whichever hero AT gets that ability, means we can insta-kill all the ambushers if they start to build up. I can bring either my ss/inv brute, the same one from that last MoBarra attempt, or my stalker.
Yeah I know that may have been an issue. Since we were almost all hero ATs, I know I didn't know how hero ATs correlated to the villy ATs in this SF....Defenders get the MM temp power of stopping Reichs' "godmode" power...beyond that I'm not sure what others got. I think you (the tanker) said you got the brute one (+regen/end ?).
I know someone used the Corruptor temp power (the dust devil one)....but of course without having the Dominator temp power/hold used first dust devils did nothing.
Now that I know a good strategy for MoBarra, I do think it'd be easy (easier) now...just have the tanker/brute hold of Reichs while everyone takes out ambushes, then smash 'em!
But yes, hopefully MoLRSF this Sat. at 1/2pm EST.... -
Ah okay.
When we did the MoBarracuda, we were all trying to take down Reichsman (granted at this point it didn't matter because we died against Numina (should have pulled, but we didn't)). We had our two tankers (1 brute, 1 tanker) survive pretty much the entire time but everyone else died eventually. Once all the ambushes were gone we took Reichsman down.
That wouldn't have been a bad idea....have a tanker just taunt Reichs while the other take out the ambushes...I wasn't sure how many ambushes came/how that all worked out.
I've read somewhere that supposedly if you taunt/take Reichsman to the SE corner of the map that ambushes don't come down there....any truth to that? *shrugs* -
Okay thanks for the replies so far all
I can start the LRSF so that's no worries there.
As far as the Barracuda being easier...how would you (not you specifically just saying) make it 'easier' Fitz?
When I tried it with no debuffers it didn't go so well; but I'm assuming it is easier if there are at least 1-2 debuffers (not so much Reichsman being hard just all the ambushes that kill squishies). -
So I've tried (and done) a few attempts at a MoLRSF and MoBarracuda without trying to have the 'perfect' team setup (one run there were no debuffers...only damage and a buffer or two; it was worth a shot
).
So...the only day I have available is Saturdays (maybe Sundays in 2 weeks but)....
I know there seems to be quite a few people needing both MoLRSF and MoBarracuda so who wants to try it for this coming Saturday the 18th starting at.... 1 or 2 pm EST?

Random question....
Does the day job progress bar reset if you change sides?
My main badger has 952 badges now but needs to swap to the hero side and then back so I can get all those other badges that I have missed. But don't want to do so if the day job progress gets reset. I don't think it does but wanted to make sure. -
I'd definitely like to see some more improvements as others have mentioned.
I'd like to see/have the ability to alphabetize the categories/badges; trying to find x exploration badge in the sea of 100s of exploration badges is not fun
Also would like to see that when you click on, let's say, the "Accomplishments" category that the "closest to completion" in that category would show up on top. That way badges that don't have counters (Vandal I'm looking at you!) can be seen when you go to the individual categories instead of trying to see what's what in the "closest to completion" category. -
I'll just do a quick post about reading powers.
I know most of my friends that I've teamed with for years and I see that they made an elec controller/dom and I mention that they should get the sleep power. All of them said, "it's a sleep" (paraphrasing)....then I explain to them what it does and they change to "ooh I might get that then."
It is quite easy to 'skip' over powers even when you're a "veteran" in the game. When I got into the CB of i18/GR and I was going through the descriptions I was like, "sleep, skip..." then after I read the other powers, I went back and actually read the description and was like, "ooooh...that might be nice."
So it can happen to anyone.
Oh and I've been on a villain team a few months ago where it was a team of 5 or so and doing missions in the RWZ and there was a stalker in the team. He was a /Regen Stalker and noticed he kept getting held/stunned/etc from the Rikti mobs and then looked at his powers. Oh look he doesn't have his mez protection power o_O
I send him a tell and asked why he didn't have the mez protection power and he said something along the lines of, "didn't think it was useful (or didn't know it helped against mezzes)." I explained that if he got it he wouldn't get held/etc as much/at all. He then said he'd pick it up later on.
But then in that same team, that same Stalker would run into a group of mobs that we just started to attack and he'd use Whirlwind on them....then he died usually....yeah.....

Quote:Yes, they are enhanceable and you can add up to 5 additional slots to them, just like the current versions. The powers are all available either at level 1 or 2 (I forget at the moment) -- no waiting 'til 20 for Stamina.
Awesome!
Now is it possible to say if the inherent stamina/fitness powers stay the same as far as numbers/effectiveness goes or do they get 'bumped down' a bit since they are free?
Edit: Oh and I agree with others in saying that Apex didn't look good in that screenshot...no Vanguard armor for him! (of course the screenshot could have been bad itself so....*shrugs*) -
I'll just give a quick 'nod' to someone who said it earlier.
I'd like to maybe see (in the future at some point), an option for lvl 49 (47 too maybe) where you can choose a power or 3 more enhancement slots. Obviously you can't do more than 6 slots in a single power but...would be nice at some point on some characters to have more slots than a power you may never use. -
Quote:Don't like, suspect won't be quite as effective, and probably will have the benefit eaten by the extra powers.
This is one thing I'm hoping they won't touch/mess with. No changing Stamina's (and the other powers) effectiveness or raising endurance costs across the board please! -
Quote:I think you're right (as others have said as well). I'm surprised that i20 will be in CB next week AND requires a hand-signed NDA....how will that work? Hmm...Very interesting....maybe it is CoH 2.0 heh....hmmmThe first person to take this bet gets 100 million influence from me if I'm wrong. Issue 20 is going to be CoH 2.0, the closest thing to a sequel this game will probably ever get.
I feel like a lot of things going on in CoH/V right now is tying up loose ends, giving long time players what they want, and clearing the way for the inevitable upgrade. I predict some kind of unification to lead the game into a centralized "world." Something to get everyone playing all in the same place, instead of split between paragon, rogue and preatoria.
Issue 20 having a concurrent beta with I19 development?
It's gotta be a separate entity.
oh and Fitness powers as inherent?
YES PLEASE!
As others have said...I'll say again, I HATE picking 'boring' powers like Swift/Hurdle/Health/Stamina at the req. levels..."hooray I got to lvl 8...oh...time for Swift.......>_<".
Yeah that's one of the reasons my best friend hated low levels (most of his characters) since he never took Stamina/Fitness because the powers were 'boring' and he wanted, you know, an actual power to do stuff with....but then he'd 'complain' (not complain but ya know) about having endurance issues while fighting/etc....
Really can't wait!
P.S. Is my NDA in the mail devs? -
Quote:Inherent how? As in, Hurdle and Swift are automatically granted at 6, Health at 14, and Stamina at 20, and remain slottable with their current sets and at their current strengths?
Yes, how are they 'inherent'? Have they made any 'other' adjustments...like powers costing more endurance because of it or are we really getting an awesome thing like all Fitness powers for free with no reduction in their effectiveness?
That'd be sweeet....No more 'boring' power picks... -
I hopefully can make this since it's on Saturday....we'll see I guess
-
Good to hear! (well not good about the zoning bug...ugh....thought they got rid of that a long time ago :/)

Just a random question that I think has been answered before but...
With a hero/villain AM, can you buy a specific recipe at a certain lvl?
For example with that 1 HAM, can you buy 1 lvl 25 LotG: +7.5% recharge recipe? Or does it cost more to specify (if at all)? Or can you only do random rolls?
I don't have any HAMs/VAMs so...was curious. -
Unfortunately I can't make it :/ boo night shift
Edit: Good luck though -

One more small question
Overall is there a lot of help and organization with badging/tf's ?
When you make your toon in Liberty make sure you join two global channels:
/chanjoin Sisterhoodfriends
and
/chanjoin LB
The Sisterhoodfriends channel is a public space where usually most of the Sisterhood SG peeps (as well as others/alliance members/etc) are in and are helpful.
LB channel is the "channel for Liberty". It's for general teaming/badging/etc....sometimes it can get weird/crazy but that's why you have the sisterhoodfriends channel as well -
Hello and as others have said already, Liberty is a great server...I've been here for 6+ years
As far as getting the RV Hero/Villain badges, all it takes is two peeps. I know this because Matt and I were on our villains and we were able to take out Manticore and Positron by ourselves (it's mainly just the heavies doing all the damage/tanking). With two, you may die a few times (trying to separate the AVs/Heroes is a good idea if on a small team) but hey if you're lvl 50, it don't matter
Yes you can be attacked in Liberty but usually the pvp zones are dead so pretty easy to get the nukes in Warburg or shivans in Bloody Bay, etc...
And like PW said, just don't go yelling at the person that killed you in RV/wherever, usually it doesn't help. I usually see if that person continues to kill me even though I don't attack him/her back. If he does then I usually just go do something else and come back the next day (again Liberty is 'small' enough that pvp zones are usually 100% empty on any given day). -

Random question:
If I have the Master of the 5th Column badge from doing the Kahn TF hero-side....do I need to do a Master of Barracuda SF run? According to paragonwiki, the two badges are named the same but...just want to make sure.
