At first I thought it was just a bonus to how fast/how much patrol xp you get while logged off and I was, "meh"....but then I read it and now I'm like, "I like it!"
I'm with Lothic in a way. I've been here since the head start of CoH and never taken time off. What I'd like to see is to have really awesome rewards for the next 2-3 rewards (until the next 'year' month badge) and then stop the rewards (as well as badges I guess). Then just issue a badge every 6 months or even once a year (only a badge and nothing else).
That way people like me who want really cool powers (or what have ya) get it and after that we don't get anything (beyond maybe a badge). -
Quote:Hmm, that seems a little pricey to be honest.
Maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy, my 60 month vet badge is a week away, but these booster packs look less and less value with each one.
**wanders off grumbling about how we used to get this stuff included in our monthly sub**
I'll agree with this as well. If this booster pack (as well as the 'Party Pack' booster pack) was $4 or 5 bucks then I'd probably get it...but $10 for appearance(s) and no power(s)? -

Quote:1.) Yes. Good rewards for a good time (last one I was on took 40 minutes or so I think). Nice to see coordination/teams (more than a few peeps on).Hey Liberty, I'm interested in what everyone has to say in response to the following two questions. Please answer honestly, and if you don't want to post a response, feel free to send me a PM or tell in game @hazygreys.
1) Are you interested in seeing regularly scheduled blueside Hami raids? Why/why not?
2) Are you interested in leading Hami raids/a raid team? Why/why not?
Thanks all.
2.) Yes and no. I wouldn't mind leading a team as long as I knew what exactly I should be doing and when/etc. I'm not a real bossy person but from the 2 times that I've been at a Hami. raid I was on my Scrapper and the person leading the scrapper/yellow mito attack team wasn't bossy so...maybe I could lead that team. *shrugs*
The other reason I say 'no' is because of rl issues/things come up so I'm not sure I'd be available every Sat. night (not an issue for just joining but would be if I'm supposed to lead it). -

The double click function has always been more annoying than it has been helpful, because I've almost always only ever used it on a misclick. And to boot, the first click doesn't even have to be on a menu item. Try that some time - click on the world somewhere and then quickly click on Enhancements. It'll still take you to the Enhancements Management screen. It's like the system only counts "time since previous click" and "current click on Enhancements," with no regard where the previous click was.
Almost invariably, I'll open the Management screen by accident because I accidentally missed the Enhancements button, corrected and clicked it once.
I'm with Samuel on this one...I've been more annoyed by it thinking I double-clicked on Enhancements and it brings me to the Manage screen when all I wanted was to just click on the Enhancements once to see what I had without going to the manage screen....
Ah well. -
Thanks again Hazy it was fun and efficient.
I didn't know Hami could be damaged when the mitos were up though so that was good to know -
Congrats all, glad you were able to beat it!
Now if we could do the next CoP run on a Sat. night...maybe after a Hami. raid? -
Quote:Yeah. I haven't run that in a long time. Autocompleting is the way to go - the old way being "team with a mastermind and/or put an attack on auto, then go watch TV. Pick a new machine at the commercial break."
Hmm, now I wish I had tested it a bit more but I didn't even have the option to auto-complete it.
Usually even if you can't auto-complete a mission it still gives you the option to do so but when you say "complete" it then says "you can't do it until the timer expires."
But yeah that's what I did, told pets to attack, had Envenom on auto and then went and did chores around the house....ate lunch...etc... -
The final mission in the "Destiny Raids" story arc is....completely and utterly boring. It's the "Stop Nemesis Attack!" mission and it is the one that was had the exploit for easy XP back in the day where there are 4 Nemesis mole machines to destroy.
I really like the map/layout of the mission but wow is it lacking I think. I'm the type of person that usually just does what is needed to complete the mission and exit so all you (I) have to do is blow up 4 Nem. Mole Machines. Which each one takes about ~10 mins on my Demon/Poison MM (lvl 46)....so that means it is roughly a ~40 min. mission for somewhat paltry rewards.
Please either get rid of the AV level HP of the mole machines or reduce their defense/resistance to all types of damage or a combination of both.
Edit: Or let us auto-complete the mission....that'd be nice. -
I have always wanted the robes that the CoT minions wear (ones that cover up your head/whole body).

Dang...note to self, don't read these threads until after I have watched the show... >_<

Sad to read that BaBs is most likely gone
I, along with the other posters mentioned, miss BABs posts. I did see "him" online last night....*sigh*....
I'm hoping that he was 'let go' from CoH to work on CoH 2 but....I doubt that.
Good luck to you BABs! -

I'm getting "lost connection to DBserver" when trying to enter the Liberty server/character screen. :/
Edit: I can get into Justice though -
I haven't seen last night's episode yet (will see it Saturday) but last week's episode...yeah....
This series really needs some better writers or something....it's just not a "must watch right now!" type of show for me at the moment....too bad :/ -
-
Good luck to all that are doing it!
-
Just a reminder, hopefully I'll be online this Saturday (the 25th) to do a MoLRSF or MoBarracuda run around 1 or 2pm EST.

Quote:Dr. Aeon,
1) Running a script to delete the copious amount of plainly titled farm arcs.
2) Look through and fix the DC arcs that your previous patches have broken.

I'm curious how would they do these two.
Sure 'running a script' sounds easy but what does the script check for? Bad names/misspellings? A certain map? Certain mobs?
I mean they haven't been able to give beta players 9999 AE tickets using a script/whatever when there is a closed beta going on and that seems "easier" to me than going through Lord knows how many AE arcs there are in the system trying to delete the "farming" ones.
Besides, who touches AE now anyways? I'm guessing the small group of AE authors (more power to them) and the ones just farming x for y reward (whether that be for AE tickets or just xp or both).
And then with #2....I don't see that happening any time soon; why would the devs fix the AE arcs (content) that they didn't create? They are fixing the bugs as they can...I don't think you'd want a dev fixing AE arcs because what if they fix it but now the arc/mission doesn't flow exactly like the author wanted? Now there would be even more 'nerd rage' as it were.
Sorry, rambling -
Ugh....looks like I won't be making it today
Friends want to hang out with me....*sigh*....maybe next week.

I'm not a fan of the no nukes in the CoP trial either....I haven't been able to even run a CoP trial since it's launched in i18/GR... :/

Quote:...I don't think anyone I've run it with has gotten the MM power that stops his invincibility, and that seems to be the one most people want. A good team is the main thing....
Scrapper: Stalker
Tank: Brute
Blaster: Corruptor
Controller: Dom
Defender: Mastermind
I had the MM temp power (even mentioned it here in the topic)...I got to use it like 2-4 times but that was about it.
Edit: Oh and now I have made the connection between Fitz and his toon(s) in game....didn't know he was Crusha
I know my way around LRSF/Barracuda (especially now with the tips/the dry runs) but always welcome more help
