Apex and Tin Mage are TFs, BAF and Lambda are Trials.

I'm hoping to play quite a bit tonight when I get home because I don't think I will have much play time this weekend :/ ...we'll see...

Edit: Here is a good guide for the BAF:

It isn't a speed thing. It is a we-all-play-in-different-ways-and-for-different-reasons thing. One of the things that makes this game great is that it has satisfied most, if not all, of us with each new layer. This time it doesn't. That's all.

Maybe give it time and maybe in the next issue there will be a 'faster' solo option?
  3. Hooray, 2nd Trial for me tonight and it was a successful Lambda

    Gj all again.
  4. After seeing a friend/sgmate use the Void judgement ability; you might be able to pass the Void off for the energy user/toon as well (coloring it to whatever you want)....I don't remember hearing any sounds (could have been too far away) but the animation is kind of cool and just has 'energy (or rage like the person above said)' whipping all around the toon and then somewhat 'exploding' upwards.
  5. I never saw the start of the series so I can't watch the finale! Edit: It did look like an interesting show but...again, never saw/heard of it until it was too late.
  6. To be honest I didn't read all of your post but here is a thing or two...

1.) The Judgement powers can be customized so for a 'pure energy' feel you can take fire's powers and just color them to the blue/white that energy blast is now (or Void's, etc...).

2.) The devs did mention that they do plan on expanding the trees/slots; biggest example was Lore since there was a huge outcry from most that didn't want praetorian pets; so maybe in the future there can be a gun judgement tree/slot or what have you...I'm all for more options

Not that either suggestion really helps (especially the "just wait and hope you get gun judgement powers" one) but it's the best I got.

It may be to some people *shrugs*

And originally I was going to say I'd be fine with a "lock this trial for just this league" option but....that would not be good. Then all the 'awesome'/min-maxers would do that all the time and some people may never meet new people and/or complete the trial(s).

Yeah there are a few missions/maps (?) that still don't have the mini-map objectives working correctly I think.
  9. I think it's a few things like what PW and Arbegla said:

    4. I added League chat to a chat tab and made sure to read the leader's instructions and follow them.
This is one of the best ways to complete a Trial. I forgot myself that the League chat isn't in the bottom half of the main chat window so I had to add it when I did the on Lambda with Arbegla Wednesday morning.

I also might suggest (at least for Lambda runs) that the league leader mentions the steps before the trial is started (either when everyone zones into the Lambda or before so).

One of the key things is the acid powers (and pac. grenades). Make sure you have room in your power trays for temp powers...and more than 1 open slot...when a glowie blows up you may get a 2nd temp power; technically you have a chance to get all 10 I think.

This should be mentioned, again, before it all starts I think...it's hard to look through 50 temp powers when you're racing against the clock. Sometimes it may be better for anyone that has a temp power give it to a certain person on that team. These temps can be passed onto a person by just right-clicking on the power in the tray and "Give To x".

I think BAF (from what I remember in beta) was hard when fighting Siege/Nightstar with their endless reinforcements. I'd suggest having 1 team fighting the AV while the other team fight off the reinforcements (especially those darn ACUs).

Okay so I haven't read all the posts since I left for work hours ago but thought this was an easy question to answer.

You log in with the char. that you want to run a 12 man BAF with. You start calling out in the global channels/broadcast/etc to a "12 man BAF"...you invite people that say "I'll join" and after 12 are in the League, you click/enter the BAF queue...everyone clicks "Enter" and wa-la you have a 12 man BAF.

If everyone on the team agrees with it (and you're the League leader) what's the difficulty?

Sure you might get a random person from the LFG/turnstile but can only do so much (unless you want to be 'mean' and kick people that join randomly).
  12. Nm, I'm now able to log in/load zones and not get the lctms messages now

    Edit: And just LCTMS.

I can log in to Liberty but once I log in I immediately get the LCTMS message. (Lost connection to mapserver)

Edit: Log in as in loading the RWZ zone (where my main EI is at).

    This.

And you EU players are able to play right now? I'm able to login but it says I can't play due to internal testing/etc... (I can select the Liberty server but then get that error/notice message).
  18. Ugh; yeah...another day without playing

If at all possible; can you make the ITF be the Weekly Strike Target next week as well and then Sis. Psy. after that? I've only been able to do 1 ITF this week because of the downtime heh

*only 9 more runs before I get that darn partner badge*

I'm not a social person at all in real life ('getting better' at it though ) so I can understand. I'm not saying your reclusive or anything and I am fine with people being in smaller groups.

More to point, I find any story, game or movie which requires multiples of anything ends up turning said thing faceless. If you need and have, say, one person with a gun, that person is memorable, because he's "the guy with the gun." If you have two, they may be memorable, say "the guy with the gun" and "the girl with the gun." If you have 12, they're just people with guns and no longer memorable.

I don't play games to be another brick in the wall, and I don't appreciate gameplay which requires me to be that.

I know what you are saying in regards to the whole "guys with guns." Like any "hero/action" movie if the 'hero' is going up against 1 'evil guy' with a gun/sword/whatever you know it's going to be a good fight; but if there are 1 vs 100 then you know the hero will win because they are just 'minions'.

If you don't like the trials don't do them...however I'm trying to say that even in a group of 24 you can do your part and be successful. You can be the healer or scrapper or whatever it is you usually play. Just look to your team that you are with and don't try to "save the world" or in this case "save the league" by doing what you'd normally do in a duo/small team (jump into the 20+ mobs and expect to live/etc...).

Okay so I'm not seeing the point in this. Sometimes when I'm in a CoP or even in an 8 man team I don't know who did what.

Sounds like you were 'doing your part' in this whole thing...what's wrong? Is it because you didn't know everyone's name and their whole backstory/haven't teamed with them a lot?

    Quote:
On the other hand, I still remember some of who did what on the STFs I ran back when it was WST.

I remember a few things that most don't either. I remember a few fun/great times I had doing x,y or z in the game....

The one and only trial I was on yesterday I remember who led it (or at least one of them...the other one I never really have seen in Liberty before to be honest ) and who was there (at least on my team) and what AT they were at the very least.

I almost always check the AT/powersets of the people I'm teamed with; now I'm not sure if you got into this BAF with/through the turnstile or not but...*shrugs* Even on STFs/etc, I always check powersets...just to know what I'm dealing with.

    Thats the disconnect.

It's not a "good thing" when you fail; it's good when you learned why you failed.

I'm sure (and know somewhat) when Hamidon was first introduced tons of char. toons failed/died....but once they had a strategy, bam, now Hamidon is "easy".

Learning from your (not you specifically) mistakes is the key.

The reason I say there will be a new salvage for the new powers is the same reason we got threads instead of just using Shards again - the Devs will not want everyone to be able to stockpile enough components to just have everything on day one of the new powers going live. They will want you to do the content.

As much as I hate to say it, I think Quasadu is right. A reason why there are threads instead of shards is because some people had stockpiles of shards so if they didn't introduce them then some people would probably have a t3 power/ability in the new slots within the first hour it was released.

    I don't like new 'salvage/merits' but...unfortunately....I foresee it happening

I like teaming with people who don't treat the game like a job. Interact with each other, if the only person talking is the league leader then you ARE a faceless grunt.

If you talk, or crack a joke, or interact with your fellow players.....your fellow players will remember it and want to do things with you again. It's not about the game remembering you did something, it's about other players remembering you did.

    Amen.

I love to talk when teamed and doing stuff (obviously during some situations it's good/fine not to talk but...in general)...when no one talks but me...man it's booooring...

And we don't get that now how? In the league/team you're in, if you're the healer, you heal your teammates to keep 'em alive, the scrapper gets the extra bit of aggro or takes out some peeps, the tanker keeps the AV on him, etc..., etc...

Or did you mean you want a big animation/power that says, "X player just won this for everyone! We're so glad to have X person in the League!"

Maybe if there was some sort of message/pop-up after the Trial was done saying, "X person healed this much/rez'ed y many people, A person killed this many mobs/etc..." people wouldn't be so hard on this? *shrugs*
