  2. Looks great (and glad to hear the rain/aura powers affecting only 1 mob at a time will be fixed 'soon')!

Thanks for the Lambda fixes (Although never had too many issues with it but I like the changes).

And hooray for the Eden/Woodsman trial getting updated

Edit: Now I'm glad with the NotW salvage being able to convert to threads....I had like 8 or so on my main doing nothing...now he'll have more threads

Sure it'd be nice for the NotW to convert to a t3 (rare) in the incarnate thread category but...maybe they'll increase it later. *shrugs*

At least it gives us toons something to do with the NotWs that are sitting there doing nothing.
  3. I'll just do a quick 'agree' here. I agree that rains, auras/etc, should not have the 1 target cap on them.

    Haven't tested anything myself yet.

Oh and I'm in agreement with what Samuel said as well; I don't understand why the costume pieces aren't color changeable/tintable.
  4. I'll just do a quick comment and say this...

All longer animations for powers are annoying to use when in teams with Judgement powers*.

Heck I did a LGTF this morning with my lvl 45 Stalker...oh he's a Kinetic Melee primary powerset Stalker (ninjitsu secondary)...yeah...you know the one with long animation times? I felt really helpless (not that I expected to 'save the day' or anything since I was being sk'ed to 49) and didn't feel like I added anything to the team. There were so many times that I was hitting dead mobs even with my t1, 2 and 3 attacks it wasn't even funny Seriously I think Caltrops was the best thing I was doing (except when I could actually use Assassin's Strike or Concentrated Strike on an AV).

Was I annoyed? Yeah....but hey...free and fast xp so... I'm good

I hope any new powersets that the devs are thinking of making will keep in mind that a good DPS with faster animation times would be good in my opinion.

Edit: *Not just Judgement powers...since the Destiny buffs allow most people to go 'hog wild' with AoEs/etc and not worry about inc. damage that much (which I am all for by the way).
  5. First off, I liked the trailer, very well done

I do agree with you on this NobleFox. Heck, I was one of the few that was against the Science booster packs "power." You know the one that can change you from a small male to a huge male or a female body type....yeah that one. I thought something like that should have been given to the public for 'free' (in a regular issue) and not something you pay for. It's the main reason I will never buy the Science pack...standing by my convictions and all that

I don't pay for costume pieces...I pay for powers (or badges)....so...all the steampunk looks great but it depends on the power.

But to be honest...I may just get this pack anyways....it feels weird paying for costume pieces but not 'weird' when I bought the MAC pack (tech pack?...the one with the mission teleporter power).
  6. I would be all for a 'streak breaker' type of code...after x amount of trials you get a very rare (or rare I guess...so far I haven't had issues getting rares on either my Defender or Tanker).

To be honest I thought I read somewhere on the forums that after 8 you'd get a very rare....I guess that's not the case heh.

And again, most people in beta were against the random pool chance...just for these reasons...random isn't 'random' enough for people especially when we don't know how things work.

If this actually came out, I'd be mad...real mad....it'd mean I would have to play my Grav/Thermal and get him all incarnate'd out! :P MMmmmm...propel on steroids....

Also I like the ideas here but the only one I kind of have an issue with is the Psy. based Judgement you have listed....the DoT would either have to do enough damage or do it fast enough. Looking at what you wrote for it, it sounds kind of meh...I know it's hard enough to get Void or the Ion judgement powers off sometimes without all the mobs dying (from other teammates killing them either with their powers or just pryonic/cryonic powers)...a DoT...might be not so great.

Yeah, sorry wasn't clear but, my toon was on the ground and the mob was hovering, used Stone Spears, the power activates, I see the spears animation and the mob gets knocked up but no damage to him.

I also agree Techbot...some (okay almost all) powers should be able to be cast while hovering/flying. Some exceptions like Stone Spears or Stalagmites I can see since the animation is your fist (or foot) "hitting" the ground....but...*shrugs*

That GM's got something mixed up there...
That's what I'm thinking; either it is activating because it should be doing damage or it shouldn't be able to activate if the target is in mid-air.

I mentioned in my first post but I think the first time I came across this was doing some villain missions and one of them was in that Longbow boat (where/when you fight Manticore in Westin Phipp's arc I think) and those little pop-up turrets come out. I noticed then that Stone Spears wasn't hurting the turrets at all. Which stinks because they are attached to a wall/'ground'...but...not on the actual ground itself I guess :/

I did a Lambda run with a total of 8 people (min. required) this morning on Stout Ion (my DA/DM Tanker). We actually had a good setup, 2 tankers, 1 Blaster, 1 Corruptor, 1 Dom., 1 Controller, 1 Stalker and 1 Scrapper.

At the end of the trial (a successful one), the other tanker in the team got the "10 threads" table/option.....which is a bummer....no idea how and/or why that'd happen.
  12. So I think I've noticed this before but finally 'hit me' a day or two ago. I have a Fire/Earth Assault Dominator and got on a team to do the Cap. SF. While waiting I was just having fun defeating some Gold Brickers in Cap.

I noticed that the Stone Spears power was not doing any damage whatsoever to a lt. that was flying/hovering. It was activating the power and the animation showed up, the mob got knocked up in the air but didn't hurt/defeat him at all. Once on the ground I was able to damage/defeat him.

I /bug'ed it while in game and got the response, "that's working as intended." So I replied back asking the devs to reconsider that; if it isn't supposed to do any damage on the enemy if it's flying/hovering then please don't let us activate the power.

I mentioned in the reply that School of Sharks is like this....it's the cone immobilize power from the Mako patron power pool. It only activates if the target is on the ground.

Just throwing it out here...not like it's a huge priority but....

I liked that bit as well.

I'd have to agree with this thought as well.

Just finished watching the episode and while it was awesome/fun there were quite a few lines I missed/had no idea what they were saying because of the music in the background.

Also happened in the 2nd episode too (when River, The Doctor, Rory and Amy were 'fighting' the Silence)...

    Sgu 5/9

Well just saw the season finale episode and thought it was another good one.

Sure not much of a 'cliffhanger' but then again, it's canceled so...in a way we know that Eli lives (no way they'd kill him right? ).

I was expecting them to have some sort of cliffhanger where they're "about to die" from the drones yet again and then the season premiere would have another alien race (or some brilliant idea) save them.

Thought it was done well enough

For what's it worth, I'd pay about 50 million for a rare and 100 for a rare.

Um...I assume you meant 100 for a very rare?

But I'd do something like what you said...around that price range at least.
  18. I think I stopped watching Smallville around season 4 (or earlier....never followed it religiously but watched it when it came on). Then when I was roommates with my best friend he was watching seasons 5, 6 and 7 I think so I watched a good portion...he stopped watching and so I stopped again too.

I'm glad they're finally getting to the 'good stuff'...but...*shrugs* Took way too long for me.

That was my thought as well; Incarnate powers in general can't be affected by recharge either way.

And yes, Seers are about the only thing (not true, I think toxic dmg still hurts Marauder) that hit him through/while Unstoppable is up.
  20. I'll just throw in my 2 influence and say that I agree with what is said here.

I don't think there needs to be 3 runs of the same thing (not using any temps)...just redundant. I'm glad I got the MoLambda when it was 'bugged'...

I also think that Marauder's resistances should be something like 90 or 95% to S/L when enraged (100% when he has Unstoppable on)....just something to give S/L toons.

It should be just like Ultra Mode where nothing really changed, but the graphics were updated to more recent graphics instead of 7 year old graphics.
I'd be more for this than a whole new CoH sequel.

Single player experience with a nice, tightly woven narrative that involves parts of Paragon city and some select villain groups? Updated graphics and a few different powersets so players would still have a degree of customization when tackling the story.

It'd be something to drive the CoH brand forward, get new gamers exposure to CoH universe, which might draw them to the MMO. In addition they'd not be competing with their own product, people wouldn't have to pay 2 subscriptions or start over on CoH2, they'd have a nice side adventure to play with, and still enjoy their MMO.

I think it's much more likely than a direct sequel at this point.

I like this idea too. How can you get more people into your CoH MMO when it is 7 years old? Release a sequel is the answer to everything...but we all know sequels usually kill either the original MMO or just the playerbase in general....so....maybe like you said, release a single player stand alone game that is cool/fun and then at the end (well during the whole game actually :P) just have stuff saying, "you can continue your quest for x in our CoH MMO!"

While still working on the original CoH...maybe get a new engine/better graphics/etc...

I have not seen much in the way of real analysis yet on any of the interfaces. So far, I am liking the DoT on the characters that have it, but only one of them went for the straight up 75% DoT chance, the others went for the 25% debuff/50% DoT (I only have tier 3s with my toons that have Reactive).

Yeah he is mainly a 'team' tanker...was built to try for the sturdiest tanker type mentality...however it would be nice to do some damage of my own (going to be nice when I get the other Incarnate slots/powers ).
  23. Well my main (EI, a Kinetics/Rad. Def.) now has 3 t4s with just 1 to go (Interface's t4). Since the patch I was keeping a log of when I do trials with him and what I got as a reward.

2 trials on 5-1: Both uncommon
3 on 5-8: Rare, uncommon, rare
    2 on 5-11: Uncomon, V. Rare
    1 on 5-12: Rare

EI seems to either get uncommons or rares. I obviously got 2 other v. rares (have not bought or traded in emp. merits for one) before but...that is what he has been getting (even before the patch).

I just started to do trials on my DA/DM tanker and he has received 2 (or 3?) uncommons and 1 rare so far.
