Quote:forgive me if this was answered already....
When you are first hit with Disintegration, can you activate your self destruct and beat Antimatter to the punch or does that count as a death due to the DoT and award him the HP boost?
No idea to be honest heh....
And I'm all for adding the person that's getting disintegrated being added to the trial UI.
I just came from a failed KIR (only had 12 people...so was hard...need more peeps!).
I'm somewhat confused now. I thought the obliteration beam that is the big green location AoE was the one that did the disintegrating...but I've noticed 1-2 times where I (or a blaster that was hovering) wasn't near the obliteration beam and then him or I got disintegrated.

Random question...
There are only 2 bunkers in/near the eastern-most reactor right?
When I did it last night I saw 2 bunkers but...just wanted to make sure. -
Quote:Dang got the Master of KIR already?I totally agree. I did get the master badge in 6runs, first two times was to get a feel for it. 3rd, 4th, and 5th runs required the need of Ultimates and a small league. Also IMHO, I find the Electric tanks to be the best use in this trial to move Anti-Matter around the Reactors.
SG mates, and ventrilo were used. Full tray of medium/large greens help.Congrats heh...
I need to get with you and your teammates.... >_> -
Quote:I was enough of a sucker that I decided to do the Keyes trial again, this time on Blond Justice (51 sword/shield scrapper). This went much smoother because there was a lot more support and healing on this league (which was also 24 players). Also the players did a better job of staying together for mutual support. What seemed insanely complicated on the first run started to make sense on the second run, and we completed it pretty handily. I got a rare reward and to 41% Lore, 69% Destiny; it's noteworthy that Keyes mobs give exp to both incarnate trees. Though it seems longer and I only got about 4% to each....
What no mention of who led this awesomely successful trial?jk
But seriously the keyes definitely requires more teamwork/communication than the other two (at least at this point)...just glad it was successful
And I was curious how the iXP worked in there; EI already had all slots unlocked so I was wondering if you could say "iXP go to x slot" or something but having the iXP split amongst two of the slots isn't but so bad.
With Interface and Destiny usually done before Judgement and Lore, most of the iXP will go towards those slots but....still nice to know -
Quote:Your character does recieve something akin to the 'I HAVE A METEOR FRAGMENT' aura from Bloody Bay, and in addition, you receive a warning that Anti-Matter is disintigrating you that other people can see if they're paying attention. In the heat of the battle, though, it might be hard for other people to see either after the initial message if you don't tell them you're melting, like a guy I saw last night not do.
One of the most important things people need for this trial is good communication.
So much this....
On the trial I led last night, on the AM fight, I was calling out the person's name that was being targetted by the disintegrating ray....they moved out of the location AoE and we went on...
Granted I could have stated what I was doing (one of the people I named said, "what?")...it was hectic and now that I know/remember the KIR a bit better I can be a better leader.
This one just requires more communication. Somehow even though I really didn't do too much as far as fighting/getting temps/etc, I still got a very rare component. -
Quote:You know you can bring green inspirations to the trial right? And can buy them from the NPC in the hospital.I dunno, maybe I should have read the guides, or it might have helped if we'd had a better leader to understand things faster.
Eventually it all made sense, but the rinse and repeat hospital runs are really, really lame.
1) Pulse of cheaty-hax two-shot death. Yay, hope you brought your rebirth slots, kiddies! And pray you can FIND your team again in the chaos, if people have bothered to group up, so you can be healed.
Finding your team is easy, there's a mini-map.
Quote:2) Don't touch Antimatter! Oop, better put pets in Passive mode then, with their trigger happy AoEs! Oh, look, bodyguard mode goes off! Two shotted! Yay!
3) And this is the big one.
WHY do Praetorian mobs have such high base accuracy? Vickies seem to totally ignore defences, and this is with a softcapped MM with T3 Barrier up. BAM. Eye lasered and dead.
Praetorians do NOT need such high accuracy. There are ENOUGH things screwing you over in trials as it is, WITHOUT them having an 'I win button'.
Not touching Keyes again, not until they strip some of the 'cheat' out of it.
To each their own but...what do you mean softcapped? 45% def or 59% def? I think it's 59% def is 'softcapped' for the iTrials.
And no matter how much def. you have, there's always a 5% of getting hit....and yes the Vickies hurt heh.
I did a KIR last night and only died a few times (maybe like 4 times)...1-2 of those were from Vickies. It also didn't help that AM was down to like 44/100 HP by the time the 3rd reactor was taken over. So the auto-hit pulse was doing 600-800 dmg (don't remember how much now).
And technically MMs have it 'easier' in a sense because of bodyguard mode doling out the damage you take to your pets; sure that means you have to re-summon pets but...*shrugs* -

I think, as far as the temp. powers and people using them, it might be because people are actively either being told to look for them (yes that happens in Lambda) but also because 2 out of 3 phases they are clicking on glowies and maybe that sticks out to people more instead of just blowing things up and getting a temp power.
Edit:
But yes, I finished my first KIR trial tonight (I was the lead) and it was fun. People followed directions and we barely made it through (had like a little more than 1 min left to defeat AM)! A few got a Very Rare or RaresIt was fun.

Okay here's my two influence....
1.) You can dodge the Disintegration Ray/Beam. It's a huge green location AoE and there's a pop-up saying, "Disintegration Ray started!" (or something; unless it's changed). Jump/fly/tp away and tada, no one needs to worry about getting healed.
Sure there will be times when you mis-click and use a long animating power and might get hit but...in general now that you know this, just be careful. It's kind of like the Apex (Battle Maiden AV fight)...if you know swords are going to fall down in a few seconds; use small/fast attacks.
2.) Yes healing is "needed". As others have said (only read through 1.5 pages), bring greens, destiny or empaths/pain doms./etc...
I will say that it is (was when I was in beta doing it) hard to see who is getting disintegrated and that was one of the main points brought up in beta. I agree that the person(s) getting disintegrated should be shown in the trial UI somehow.
But even if you die, AM heals from it, but I've seen where he doesn't heal to 100% every time...not sure why not...but maybe it's just a percentage of his HP healed *shrugs*
3.) If you're worried about PUGs, teach them! Tell them what to expect/try to show them. Sure some won't listen but ya never know it might help! -
So I'm not sure if this has been fixed or not (just got on the forums for the first time tonight (still at work))....but everyone that was in the league this morning thought that we broke everything and found an issue....therefore we all can get the Bug Hunter badge right?
Edit:
Yes everyone was lvl 50+ and what not; we could start a Lambda but not a BAF or KIR. -
-
Can anyone start a Keyes Island Reactor trial? I queued up our league but...nothing
Edit: I can't start a BAF or a KIR on Liberty; but Lambda works fine
2nd Edit: We even tried to have everyone join the KIR LFG queue by themselves and it's not queueing up. -
AoE buffs + new Lore pets (my Dark/Rad Corr. was waiting for new pets...she'll be making the Vanguard pets when the servers come up!) and a new trial for EI to get new badges!
-
It's probably been said before but I'm really hoping that there is a scythe in this weapon set!
-
A++ would read again.

I know I was one to somewhat over-react. I never got the chance to see what the f2p players/accounts would be able to do (or not do)....so, I think, for right now I'll definitely stay on Liberty. Maybe make a new toon on the VIP only server for fun but...*shrugs*
