Quote:If the majority of those who do trials don't want to do Keyes, then no it's not.
And my experience mirrors Snows.
Sounds like you think the majority of people willing to do trials do want to run Keyes. Perhaps that is true on Virture and Freedom.
Um, Snow asked "What would you do to make Keyes fun?" By the time I posted some already said, "it's fine as is", hence my, "as others have said".
And uh, I'm on Liberty not on Freedom or Virtue...and no Keyes isn't run much on Liberty (except by a few leaders besides me) which I find sad because, as I think, Keyes is already fun. -
As others have said, it's fine as is.
The only thing I'd like to see is to have whoever is being Disintegrated show up in the trial UI so that the empaths/pain doms./thermals/etc know who to heal faster.
A timer for when the Disintegration will happen again would be nice too but...meh. -
Quote:I did some (fun?) browsing through the leaderboards on CIT to see what I could find about these badges. As of today, 80 people have Loves A Challenge and 73 have Avoids the Green Stuff. I'm sure that total is actually higher, but those are only the ones verified on CIT.
Here are the rankings by server for those two badges with everyone who has has at least 1,000 badges overall:
Code:Challenge Green Virtue 15 15 Union 13 10 Freedom 5 6 Liberty 4 7 Champion 4 2 Infinity 4 2 Victory 3 3 Guardian 3 2 Protector 2 3 Defiant 1 1 Justice -- -- Pinnacle -- -- Triumph -- -- Vigilance -- -- Zukunft -- --
That's some neat info there Blondeshell
Liberty, my home server, is in 4th place!
Of course I know more than 4 (7) people have Loves a Challenge and Avoids the Green Stuff badges because the one night I got both badges on 2 diff. toons. And, of course, have to have at least 12 people to do a Keyes and everyone got it that night (2x)...so..*shrugs*
Still nice to see Liberty pretty close to the top!
And yes, I "can't wait" until the KIR and UG trials give 2 emp. merits (and more astrals) -
Quote:Ah okayThe guy had one of Joker's bombs in his hand and had Joker cornered stating he was fed up with Joker having stalked him for years and trying to kill him and that Joker would perish basically at the hands of an ordinary man instead of some final showdown with the dark knight. Joker was pleading and calling for Batman at the same time.
Batman approached Joker from behind and quietly observed events as Joker was scrambling frantically.....Joker then hands over all his copies of the guy's ID and address etc and surrenders to Batman's custody. The guy tosses the bomb at Joker's feet and Joker freaks out until the bomb is revealed to be one of Joker's harmless decoy bombs. Batman actually laughed for a moment and then told the guy to head home as he took Joker away.
Quote:I can't view the original list right now (I'm on my cell) but I'm glad to hear Almost Got 'im made it to #1, it's a great episode. Tyger, Tyger is also one of my favorites. I had forgotten about See No Evil, that was also outstanding.
I think my absolute favorite episode is (IIRC) Girls Night Out - Joker kicks Harley out and she's determined not to crawl back. While robbing a museum, Harley is tripped up when Poison Ivy, robbing the same museum, trips the alarm! The two decide to team up and caus havoc in the city as mavens of mayhem!!
My favorite line in the episode:
*Harley & Ivy are stopped at a traffic light in Ivy's convertible when a car full of "spunky young men" pull up in the adjacent lane. They hoot and howl and make rude, suggestive gestures at the costumed villainesses*
Ivy: Didn't your mother ever teach you manners?
One lad: What are ya gonna do, spank us?
Harley: Yeah pigs, and here's the paddle!
*Harley pulls out a bazooka and blows up the fools' car as they scramble out of it*
KABOOM! haha!
Yeah hehe, that was a good episode too! -
Quote:Hmm...thanks for that Snow_GlobeFor those that want a glance at prices in USD:
Prices in yellow are more expensive than the store, the prices in green are lower.
Just might have to buy the Origins pack and Steampunk pack before August 29th with knowing about the price differences.
If I do that, then I'll worry about the Science pack and Party pack later (I swore to myself I wouldn't buy the science pack so won't buy it...plus not really interested in costume pieces..just the 'powers' in the packs usually). -
Quote:Yepthe funniest part of that is that it's actually batman that said that ^.^
Quote:I can't remember the name of the episode, but there was one where a guy is driving home and gets into a pseudo-road rage mentality about others on the road and their habits. Along comes this car and the guy has had enough so he basically cuts him off and then realizes, to his horror, it's the Joker.
The Joker chases him down and states he owes him a favor down the road.
Well the end of the episode has the little guy threatening Joker with his own bomb while the perverbial trickster is howling for Batman to come save him. I won't ruin the final punchline, but it was one I will never forget.
I remember that episode but...don't really remember the ending...hmmm -
Quote:Your Tier 1 pets are Animal (Melee, automatic aggro to any female target) Tier 2 is Statler and Waldorf (Taunt powers!), Tier 3 is Miss Piggy (Martial Arts with automatic double knockback - HY-YAH!), while your uber-pet would be Gonzo, because he always goes off and does his own thing and you're not really certain what he is.
And instead of something lame like Serum, you get something like Gang War and summon a miniature army of Crazy Harrys who nuke everything in sight.

What about The Swedish Chef and Beaker?! This new muppet MM powerset has gone to the Americans!!! -

Indeed!
I don't remember too many episodes (but some of the ones people have mentioned I remember) but I know one of my fav. episodes was the
"I almost got him" episode. "I threw a rock!" *crickets*...."it was a really big rock...."
Great stuff! -
Quote:That actually makes 3 of us. Weird, eh? Maybe Anti-Matter (Posi) put something in the water akin to the stuff Cole uses on his citizens.
Maybe we should check further and see if there are enough of us in the Virginia vicinity to justify a meet.
Heh, I'm in the Chester area
Edit: And I know of another person that (used to?...haven't seen him on lately) played CoH on the Liberty server as well that lived in the Richmond, VA area (the Fan district I think). -
-
I've seen other announcements on why they're bringing down servers there as well...pretty typical actually.
And what's that you say, less lag in ITFs and BAFs?! Hmmm....I want to test this! -
There are a few that have been running some badge runs on the Liberty server. Not every night but...at least maybe 1-2 times a week...depends if enough want to do it.
Also, I mentioned it before, that maybe you may want to wait until i21/freedom launches. Possibly get the badges by transferring the toon to the new VIP server and team up that way. No it shouldn't have to be done Snow Globe but it is an option.
I guess Freedom works too if they're doing a run every night *shrugs* -
Nope, no server merges.
What times do you play? Usually doesn't get busy/pick up until around 10:30/11am EDT and/or 7/8pm EDT (from my experience). -

Yeah I haven't been on the UG trial since the Avatar's powers have been reduced so I don't even know where an IDF bomb is/if there's a timer for it. Do they auto-explode after a set time?
If so, is that timer on the trial UI?
If not, then we just have to defeat a random IDF bomb at the same time the Avatar dies? Yeah....that'll be annoying.
Edit: Looks like I'll need to make EI a villain again so that he can run the villain arcs for the new lowbie lvl badgesheh

Quote:In spite of the new dayjob torture (torture to some, me..I don't mind THAT much) the new badges do not look to be all that difficult (at least to me). No new "no deaths" badge, which is nice. I am sure there will be at least one badge that will be a sticky one, but that goes with the territory. My guess will either be the IDF bomb/avatar simultaneous one, or no IDF bomb explosion one.
Looks to be a fun trial.
I'll guess both of those badges will be the 'hard' ones. Possibly the 'kill both war walkers in 8 mins' one too.
The defeat all bombs before they explode badge is 'easy' just like the bunker buster badge is easy....in theory it's easy; in practice, it's hard for people to follow easy instructions
Either way I'm looking forward to another new trial -
Quote:Damn it, still down FOUR HOURS LATER.
Great going.Monday, down. Tuesday down. Wednesday down. Thursday, natch, and now Friday down as well. Prime Time for Aussies = HA HA NO YUO.
American players, on the other hand, never know anything untowards happened, and they rain sunshine on paragon dev's heads "it's ok, your'e doing great, just keep doing it to -them- and not us".
I'm all for FAIR MAINTENANCE. Do it whenever. Especially at 9pm Pacific time. Lets see how many 'whiny people' we get posting then!
Grrrr
I'd be fine with that time interval since I work night shifts!
When they do early maintenance I'm cut out too -
Hey I could bring up a bug that's been known about for years (ever since CoV launched and possibly even in beta).
Doing the Seer Marino arc, after you complete the 2nd mission, you call her to get the 3rd mission and the nav UI marker tells you it's outside of the building you're in. You go outside, and the UI marker says it's inside the building you came from.
UI marker has been messed like that for as long as the content has been out. The actual marker on the mini-map is fine though heh. -
Hmm, the gameplay trailer doesn't really interest me....but who knows...maybe I get into the beta and I like it...it's possible I guess
-
Yeah I liked the trailer and of course gameplay (probably) won't be anything like it but...signed up for beta for it...just to see how it plays out.
-
I wasn't there but after reading it; sounds good

Quote:There was in my TiVo guide a new Who episode. But when I saw it was a "Monsters of Dr. Who" special, I deleted it. I hate clip shows.
Yeah they had a "Best of Doctor Who" last Sat. I turned on my tv/dvr after it was done and saw a "new" Doctor Who and was like, "Oooo new show!...*play* heeey..wait a second..."

Quote:I flew all around Thorn Isle with a macro set to a button with his name on it clicking it repeatedly and got nothing.
This may or may not help but...if I remember correctly, you may want to check just SW of the Thorn Isle as well (going into/near the other islands near-bye).
Also, if you can, try to get like 4+ others to scout around...never know...he might be flying at the top ceiling level *shrugs*
It is hard and annoying....good luck to you!
