Well, if I'm online I would be fine with an attempt at Hami.
Villains (or vigilantes/rogues) I have atm are as follows:
Dark/Rad Corr
Fire/Earth Assault Dom (perma-dom/perma hasten; not fully incarnated)
Claws/SR Brute (granted he's not fully incarnated like my dark/rad corr is)
Kin/Rad Def (my main; he's now a vigilante atm)
Other villains I have but none even have a basic alpha slot slotted.
If really needed, I could make my Mind/Emp controller a vigilante in 2 days. -
Quote:I'll help as needed if I am around, but I do not have a wide variety of characters to lend, only my namesake claw/regen scrapper or a fire/rad troller are Incarnated.
Well you know what that means...
Get to work on a thermal, pain dom., or empathy toon when i21 comes out!
Edit:
Or an elec. armor tanker (or just one that can withstand A-M).
With the UG trial coming in i21; it will be even easier to get all the slots unlocked. I heard that someone got like 40 or 50 (maybe 70?) % done on the 2 slots in 1 trial. -
And a reminder that you can auto-complete the portal room mission (the one mission in RWZ).
I think you can auto-complete the Trapdoor mission too....but maybe they took that ability away for that mission...not 100% sure. -

Quote:Well, I helped a league get the Green Stuff badge on Triumph.
I'm not happy about how it had to be done.
I dealt with the "unknowns" by sending them to the hospital.
Most of the league was told to stay in the hospital and pretty much have the heavy hitters beat on AM. Only I was a bit late telling people to go to the hospital so a few more than I expected stayed out.
Two players stayed away from the main fight but attracted the Obliteration beam more than not. Only 1 of those got into Line of Sight of AM and got targeted with disintegration once.
So, yeah. We did it. I don't consider this badge to be anywhere near the term "fun". It wasn't fun as a leader asking players to sit on the sideline. It wasn't fun for those that were in the hospital. It wasn't fun for those of us battling AM.
Congrats?!
I mean, get a badge however ya want but...I don't really see that helping anyone. No one gets to experience/try to dodge the Oblit. beam by standing in the hospital.
I know on the failed runs we had on Liberty; even after we failed the Avoids the Green Stuff badge, we (most of the times) still had people avoid/dodge the beam just for practice.
Yes I know it's hard to get people to work together/blah, blah but...just saying; trying to encourage you (others) to keep trying (took 2+ yrs for me to get MoSTF due to my own fault but still).
But to each their own. -
If you're going to be "serious" (read, "Must have shiny badge(s) now!), may think about an AT with some type of heal for the heal badges. Granted, you can always use Aid Other from the Medicine pool.
Then again, I'm not sure if the Arena heal bug has been fixed or not (where you have the Longbow Boss 2 pet that heals....set it to auto while it heals the other gladiator pets which gets you progress to the heal badges).
My main badger is a Kinetics/Rad. Blast Defender and has worked out well for me. Any toon can be a badger...just depends on how dedicated you are to it -
Haha! Finally got power back and searched on my DVR; it re-airs Sept. 2nd at 1am heh. *records*
-
Yeah, sorry for not posting...lost power...but just got power back a few minutes ago!
But yes I have any toon that can help out if needed. Always up to help others get hard badges
And congrats Noyjitat -

Okay since Irene decided to knock out power to me last night I didn't get to see this episode....
Any chance BB re-airs it before this coming Sat. night? -
Quote:I am just under 40 miles from the epicenter of this week's quake in Virginia. I, of course, felt the initial quake and felt a couple of the aftershocks. It's perhaps a little unsettling, but not particularly terrifying. Of course, the quake itself was only 5.8 and the largest aftershock, so far, was a 4.5, so while they are significant for this area of the country, they are my no means major quakes in relation to other global, or even National, quakes.
Hurricanes.. I have been through a few, so they don't really scare me anymore either. The last one that followed the predicted path of Irene, though, left me without power for 8 days. No internet or television for EIGHT DAYS!?!?! Now THAT scares the bajeebies outta me! Especially with the launch of Freedom possibly being right around the corner.
heheh this ^^^ AND a new Doctor Who episode airs tonight! Irene better not take out power!
Glad we have a generator here
But..I would have to go with the sudden stuff like an earthquake that scares me more.
Again, just like Garielle, I'm 40 miles from that 5.8 EQ last week and it scared me for a second but...I'm a "storm chaser" in a way. I like to see tornadoes/etc...
Last hurricane that came through VA (Isabelle?) my dad and I walked through the neighborhood (at the time it wasn't really windy...just maybe gusts up to 40 or so MPH and rainy). It was fun -
Well, I'm planning on making a StJ/Regen brute...so I'd love to join this group...
Again...2 things:
1.) Unless it's on a sat./sun. then I most likely can't join (or mon.-fri. mornings)
2.) Again, going to make a StJ toon...and StJ won't come out when i21 comes out...so...*shrugs* -
I'll try to get you if you're online and I'm leading one

Quote:You say that like it's a bad thing....I hate voice chat....don't want to hear people yelling at me...text is bad enough sometimesToo bad the game makes that difficult. From the timers to the constant pulse damage to the lack of voice chat options.
Quote:Those communication tools aren't in the game. I've found that leading the Keyes that most people don't want to read what the leader does have to tell the league. -
Quote:... One of my biggest complaints about Trials is that far, far too many Trial leaders and regular players simply assume people know how the Trials go and/or think they have read guides. I even had that said to me after a Trial today, in fact...
I've said it before and I'll say it again...
I think this is the only trial that actually needs a leader that explains things as you go along (unless the leader knows everyone knows what to do).
This trial requires communication.
Think about it, BAF and Lambda are run so often the leader hardly talks (beyond maybe the "watch the rings!" in a BAF and "use grenades/acids now!" in a Lambda).
They're easy and "everyone" knows what to do and if you're lost you can just follow the crowd since both trials are an easy "A to B" point (except I guess for Lambda in the sabotage phase).
One of the things I like about Keyes is that you can have multiple "teams" doing different things. When I'm with certain people doing it and I'm on my Mind/Emp; I'm usually with the tanker healing him during the reactor phases (while he's taunting AM) as well as he's clearing (taunting) the mobs away from the terminals so that way people don't actually have to defeat them.
Then you have the other people gathering temps/defeating the mobs that didn't get taunted to the tanker, etc...
Heck, in the 2nd and 3rd reactor you could even have 3 'teams'. 1 team being the tanker (taunting AM) and 'healer', one team being the 'defeat mobs near stations' while the other team get temps/use 'em.
That takes A LOT of coordination....which is why, I assume, most don't like it...because the league leader doesn't explain things and communicate.
In the trials I've run (I'm not perfect by any means) I don't do what I just said above (3 teams, etc...); usually I stick with the tanker healing him (not that he needs it most of the time) and if possible, I try to go stand near a terminal saying, "this terminal needs temps", etc...or "1st lvl done, go to 2nd lvl".
Communicate, communicate, communicate! (not saying you just in general).
And the new Underground trial seems to be a walk through "defeat all" so no real coordination (except at a few spots)...so....*shrugs* we'll see how popular it is
And not saying that the UG isn't fun...I like it, more things to do -
Quote:...And LOL at someone else's idea that one can carry enough greens to negate the Death Pulses. Yeah, not hardly. I guess some people have Incarnate Inspiration trays that hold 50 Inspirations or more.
Meh.
Well I know the 2 toons that I have done Keyes with (I've possibly done it on 3 toons but can't remember)...I have self-healing powers (main is Kinetics and the other one I do it with is a mind/emp controller so pbaoe heal there plus RA/rebirth destiny powers).
You know you can buy more (green) inspirations from the hospital NPC inside right? -
Quote:I agree! Great powerset I think! That is the most inspired powerset I've seen in a long time.
I think there's only one thing to say:
Quote:I don't know whether to be disappointed at the lack of all your base or at my knowing all of these save for one. :/
Somewhat in the same boat...I didn't (don't) know about the Honey badger one...or maybe I do but have blocked it from my memory....I think it's the former though.... -
Quote:Ooooh, well hi thenIn fact, we play on the same server most of the time, and I'm pretty sure I've been on a Keyes run with you. People mostly followed the suggestions in your post, and it was a pretty smooth and enjoyable run for that reason.
I don't know the forum name to global name conversion...there needs to be a chart....
Not like this will change your mind or anything but, as far as I know, the auto-hit pulse is a percentage of everyone's HP. It doesn't do 50% HP dmg to Blasters and only 10% to Tankers, it's, again I think, 50% HP for everyone (more if you damage Anti-Matter). -
Quote:...
Oh, and just apply a mag 1000000000000 immobilize to people that are being disintegrated already. Seeing players run away from the team as fast as they can or run behind buildings or even just in circles makes me want to shoot them myself.
hehe, that would be nice -
Quote:Oh I see how it is, if you dont have a population of at least 500k you dont rate on the east coast.
Va Beach and Atlanta both have populations greater than Miami (according to census data on wiki less than 300k), now a hick town like Charleston SC I can agree with
Although I don't like it, I'd agree with Father Xmas.
East Coast you have: Boston, New York, DC, Miami; I'd also put Atlanta in there too.
West Coast I'd agree with the 4 that Father Xmas has...maybe include Las Vegas and/or Denver...those are about the only other 2 'west coast' cities that "everyone" knows.
Edit: Granted Denver isn't really a West Coast city so I'd take it off...Las Vegas is 'close enough' to the West Coast for most people I'd assume -

Quote:I don't get this; I'm guessing I've never done a trial with you or been on the leagues that you've been on (since I'm on a diff. server I assume) but...I can kind of see what you're saying about everyone splitting up and what not. But if you know what to do and as long as the leader doesn't say otherwise, why wouldn't you be helping collecting temp powers, using them, or helping clear mobs (when it was needed)?I'd make it so that people don't split up and race all over the place, making it impossible for anyone to get healed by characters with healing powers (not that I ever see more than one character with healing powers per Keyes, anyway). Like too many other "challenging" things in the game, it's something where a few characters essentially do all the work and get all the fun and glory, while the rest die over and over and over again.
Again, maybe it's just the leagues you were a part of but...the times I've been on Keyes (either leading or just a part of one) sure there are times when people are 'doing their own thing' but it's usually coordinated "splitting". Everyone knows that x is the target and as long as x is accomplished then who gets the glory?
Quote:Now, if you carry a full tray of green inspirations, can solo a War Walker And Friends, and have full invisibility, it's fairly enjoyable. It also has a great Maniacal Villain Rant. On that note, it's one of the few points in the game where I actually feel like the antagonist is really a "supervillain."
I always have all green inspirations (and depending on the toon, at least 1 BF just in case). It's usually recommended unless you have self-healing powers of some sort.
I can see how not having any stealth/invis. would be a pain in some parts (collecting temp powers in 1st and 3rd reactors) but if you know you can't collect temps without getting beaten up by the mobs...why not suggest to the leader that those with stealth/invis help clear the mobs on the 1st and 3rd reactors? Again, not saying you haven't done that but...*shrugs*
