So I started the whole Castle show around late July from Netflix (my mom had total knee replacement surgery and remembered seeing a Castle promo on youtube that I think one of you guys/gals placed here (the one where Nathan Filion dressed up as Malcolm Reynolds for Halloween)).
Netflix had them on DVD so watched the first 4 episodes or so by myself (while dad and mom were in hospital) and thought they were pretty good/decent. Went to see my mom after surgery (everything went well) and told them about it.
So once she got home in the last week or so of July we watched 'em and they were hooked as well; quite surprising that my mom really likes the show too because she doesn't usually do "crime dramas" because they don't end on a happy note for the most part.
So we watched and rushed through all 3 seasons of Castle in about 2 months. Now the new season starts tonight
Just a reminder that's all!
P.S. Oh and Harry's Law starts Wed. night too! Yet another good show I think.
P.P.S. While I'm talking about TV shows, New Girl looks like a possibility....maybe that's cause I like Zooey....mmm...Zooey. -
Quote:<sigh> I do hope they sprinkle a special here there, the sad part is, there is only two episodes left in this season (too bad they can't do a 22 episode run, as is standard here in the states)
Only 2 left?!? Eep...thought we had like 8 left heh...
When my dad and I watched this episode my dad said, "they getting rid of them? Is this the season finale or something?"
I said, "No...we have like 8 episodes left...."
Guess I was wrong :P
Edit: Wonder how they're going to wrap up the whole Doctor dying at the beach in 2 episodes...especially when the next episode looks like another "filler" episode. -
Same here...great episode
Quote:I found parts of this to be quite terrifying, what with my fear of ventriloquist dummies and clowns.
Though I did enjoy it. I hope Amy and Rory come back.
And I hope too, that Amy and Rory will be back. -
Quote:heheh nice.Heh. I still remember having an entire IT department go pale when I suggested rebooting their server. Essentially they were all helpdesk guys who left the server alone and never messed with it. Because it took on the order of 40 minutes for the machine (an AD box running a MONSTROUSLY HUGE Exchange) and they were all but crippled when it was down.
The company I work for; I get to reboot some servers on Mon. and Fri. nights and one of those servers is the Exchange server (on a Fri. night too of course).
Some times that servers takes 5-10 mins just to turn off (reboot) and another 5 mins to turn on for me to log in to it.
This past Friday, it took 12 or so mins. to reboot itGrr...not fun when trying to leave work early (or at least on time)!

To be honest I never knew it was a 'she'....don't really read dialog...
But on the topic here..
Just got the Master of the Underground Trial badge(along with the Preservation Specialist badge).
All done now except for Day Job badges! -
hehe, nice trailer

Quote:So much better than last week.
Seriously Who-makers, when you have to make a cheapo episode, do it like this one. Come up with a nifty time trick, stick your main characters in a box and let them work their way out of it.
Psychological thrillers are so vastly more entertaining than the ham-handed, "Please, won't somebody think of the CHILDREN?!" shows.
Just saw the episode and I agree with the above. Pretty good episode I thought! -
Quote:Congrats!
That's strange, because the map I got (admittedly, the only time I did it) was only one floor. I didn't realize it was a random (or at least non-fixed) map, that's interesting...
Thanks
Yeah it was definitely a different map from the first time.
I just finished Dr. Graves' 3rd and final arc as well. Good grief, any and all missions with Omnicore is annoying!
This time the map was just 1 floor and after blowing up 3 generators, Omnicore spawned......no idea where cause I went back and forth throughout the map 2x and didn't see him!
Luckily on the way back to the end of the map on the second time through, he was running towards me....grr....stand in one spot please! -
Quote:Hmm, if it's not showing the Manifest Version/Data Version when it fails to load, then ya, that's a different problem. To be honest, not too sure how/why that'd happen, my guess may be COH or Sentinel being run as admin, or something else. Better question posed at the titan forums though, they should be more capable of helping ya debug that
.
Well it works tonight so...meh
If it doesn't work again I'll post -
Hmm, well I did this mission twice tonight.
When I logged on I was hoping it was the last of the arc...so I ran the mission and it had 3 floors in it...this time the pattern of where the mobs spawned was way off from the first time. The Legacy Chain mob spawned on the 1st floor, and what not....but found the Council mob and defeated him.
Then I finished the mission and noticed...ooh...one more mission...but a UG trial was forming and I wanted badges....so...quit the arc.
After the UG trial was a success I did the arc again and finally completed it.
This time the map for the 2nd to last mission only had 2 floors on it and was a lot smoother transition wise. Everything was in order and went smoothly. -
I heard about this game through a friend (that played a diff. PC game with me) and at first I laughed at the thought of a super-hero MMO...I mean who can balance that?
Probably about 6 months later I saw one of the first E3 videos of it and was like, "WOAH! that's awesome!"
Hooked ever since
So I probably started to follow it around 2003 (late 2003...maybe around fall/winter 2003). -
Hmm, well like I said, I downloaded the client yesterday (or whenever I posted my first post about it) and it wasn't working for me.
Maybe tonight it will work.
I've had periods where (even before i21) the program works fine...the next day I get what I am getting now...it "logs in" fine but no picture of my toon, can't track badges/etc....the next day it's fine...sometimes just closing it and re-opening it works...*shrugs* -
Quote:Oh, wow. I haven't spent anything yet. I will, but probably not on that order of magnitude. I won't lie, I want everything right this second. But like the Incarnate rewards, I'm perfectly content with building it all up over time.
Pretty much this above...
I'm surprised how many people said they've plopped down $100 or more on this...yikes...
Only thing I have purchased so far is Beam Rifle and even then I have had a little buyers remorse (mainly cause I don't care for BR that much....but it's a new powerset and I love new powersets!).
Saving points for new powersets...might splurge and spend some of my points that I have now on ccemotes or other emotes I don't have. -
Quote:Hmm...well where the Legacy Chain mob spawned, if the Council mob spawned behind me (where I was at the time), he was outside of the map then heh...I was basically at a wall when fighting the LC lt. mob...and there was a door there but it was locked.I did that one earlier today on my main hero-turned-villain also, EI, and the robotic Council spawned BEHIND me on the mission map (rather than in the same room as the robotic Legacy Chain, or further in). I had to go back a couple of rooms to eventually find him.
Well better luck tonight hopefully! -
I guess I don't understand the hate...
Aren't all the stories in this game "railroading" you (everyone) into a set path? -
Hmmm, okay thanks both of you.
I know I was in a rush but I was hitting the tab button as fast as I could while running through the whole map...nothing...hmm...well hopefully better luck tonight or tomorrow -
Random question...
I turned EI into a villain this morning to work on the lowbie villain arcs for the badges there (through Ouroboros of course).
I was doing the 2nd arc of Dr. Graves and the one mission named, "Endure OmniPro's Scheme (forgot the tech guy's name)"
Basically you fight 1 "robotic" lieutenant at a time throughout the map. Anyways...I'm doing the mission just fine and I defeat a robotic Legacy Chain LT. and it says to defeat a robotic Council mob....except that mob never spawns....I went back throughout the whole map and nothing
I /bug'ed it but...curious if anyone else had that issue. -
Quote:Okay, Avatar Assassin is definitely for killing the Avatar while one of his detonating seedlings is in the last room.
The way it works is first he summons the seedlings, then 10 seconds later it explodes. You have to kill him after he summons it, and before it explodes. Timers for the summoning and detonation are shown in the objectives window.
He seems to summon seedlings fairly often, so I'd expect this badge to happen by accident a lot.
Ah okay that makes sense on how the league I was in got it in the first run/try. -
My home is Liberty...nothing is changing that
Haven't even touched Exalted beyond last night (just made my namesake there but never went through the tutorial). -
So tonight I was standing in FW waiting for a trial to start up and all-of-a-sudden I get a LCTMS.
"Okay," I thought, "I'll just log back in."
Not so fast there!
It gave the "Your account is already logged in." message which is typical so I just clicked OK and then logged in again. Selected Liberty and then my main (Energizing Ion) and then clicked Next.
"Character Energizing Ion is still logging out. Please wait a second, then try again."
Umm...okay...try to login again but got the "the game cannot connect to the update server." message.
After a few attempts I get back in and try EI again...same message "Char. EI is still logging out."
Then I clicked OK and got this:
"You have been kicked. Error Code: 1361614489"
Hopefully that helps...
I am able to login to other characters in the Liberty server and even make a new toon on the Exalted VIP server. But when I try to login with EI I get LCTMS or the "char. EI is still logging out."
Others reported the same thing (others that were in the same league that were waiting for the trial to start).
Only good thing is that at least he was in FW...day job progress ftw! -
Okay so my badge text for Avatar Assassin says:
"You took a risk and managed to defeat the Avatar of Hamidon in the Underground at the same time a Detonating Seedling was about to go off."
Sooo...I guess there's a timer before the seedling blows up...kill the AoH before that. -
Quote:So for now the answer seems to be to not form a league for it, stick to individual teams?
Well, I assume you can be in a league...but just form it before anyone starts attacking it.
I think it's the whole people changing teams/etc in a league that throws it off maybe...*shrugs*
Not perfect but.... -
Quote:The *head honcho* in the studio is Brian "Crosscheck" Clayton.
Then there's the *head honchos* in Seattle and Korea.
For the intent of the Development and Design of the game,
- Second Measure is the overall producer.
- War Witch is leading the Strike Teams and ensuring that the creative vision is being adhered too.
- Positron is responsible for the overall design philosophy and oversight of the entire game.
- Ghost Falcon is in charge of multiboxing.
- Black Pebble is in charge of nefarious schemes to steal puppies and kittens.
- Black Scorpion is in charge of...actually...we don't know what he's doing...he walks around muttering things about Seagulls and Kheldians and we kinda leave him alone most of the time.
- Protean is in charge of our Wil Wheaton sound alike club.
- Avatea is in charge of SHHHH-eduling and all things PURR-ple.
There's more, but I would have to defeat you if I told you.
haha, nice summary Zwillinger and thanks.
Although to me, Nate's (Second Measure's) and Matt's (Positron's) positions seem similar.
So from what I can assume/guess, Nate is "above" Matt, yes? -
Quote:Okay thanksIt's been worked on http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index....c,4171.15.html
For the time being though, anticipate it not working. We're likely to have a rapid set of updates over the next week, and each update requires a patch to Sentinel before it'll work again.
