Quote:I do agree. Time saving items such as this have made my costume creation and playtime a bit more enjoyable
.
Glad to see you're enjoying it as well.
As long as we're talking about it, are there any other time vs. convenience options like the cape and aura unlock service you could see being a desirable Market offering?
Buying a fully IO'ed and Incarnated out lvl 50 with all unlocks? When you buy it you get to choose what AT, powersets/etc that the toon has.
What?!
Edit:
Dang EmperorSteele beat me to the punch
But I'm only somewhat kidding...
Why not sell a lvl 50 toon (or 50 lvls of xp) on the market? Maybe limit to VIPs and only after (only if) your account has the x year badge (5 years, maybe 6 ?). -
I have 2 lvl 50 blasters....
1 is Elec/Energy and was/is good-to-okay.
1 is DP/MM and liked the combination.
Good luck!
Edit:
You're braver than I am if you actually start down this path...
I know I don't necessarily like "repeating" powersets when I make new toons but there are some powersets I haven't touched (and really don't want to)...AR and Energy Blast are the two that come to my mind heh. -
Quote:I dunno... I really hate to be cynical, but as a coworker once said to me, it seems a bit like "I'm not doing the Joker anymore... at this price". If they throw big gobs of money at him, and have a suitably interesting story, I see him coming back.
At least, I hope so. He is Joker for me now, just like I cringed when I heard the voice from Batman: Year One, because it wasn't Kevin Conroy.
Agreed; "growing up" on Batman: TAS...Mark Hamill = Joker...no ifs, ands or buts about it!
I don't know the actor's name for the voice of Bruce Wayne/Batman from that series but...yeah...again, what I picture/hear when I think of Batman. -

Quote:Does this Saturday night (10/29/11) work for you?I was wondering what works for anyone to get a few Undergrounds run my work hours are kinda crazy and school is eating up a lot of my time but i still want to run one that doesn't fail soon at least.
That's when I will try to start one up. -
Thanks again!

Quote:PRolex, I think it's just you. I believe it was this past week that Corumm led us on one - I got the baby sitting Desdemona job - so it wasn't too much fun - although it was a relief that she lived as long as any of us under my watch. (and a horde of MM demon pets)
I think we basically have the procedure down - but some are having difficulty implementing the procedure. But, that's progress. Previously, most didnt' really have any idea of what to do, myself included.
Oh I see how it is Ukase....trying to keep me from running a UG eh?
YOU CAN'T STOP ME!!!
Edit:
With my wacky hours lately; I didn't even know Liberty did Keyes runs...all I see are Lambdas/BAFs heh. -
Welcome to Liberty
I don't know if the LEGION would be good for you (we have more members coming back/active lately but it is somewhat of a roller-coaster as far as people on). We have a little forum that is lightly used now....
You can always join the SisterhoodFriends, LB and LFA global channels to help in getting teams together
/chanjoin Sisterhoodfriends (or LB, LFA, etc...).
Edit:
Just took out the website...it seems our website has lost its registration (not a surprise).... -
I'd love to do one....
Heck....
Uh, if I'm online Sat. night...let's do it and I'll lead it!
*insert evil laugh here* -
Congratulations EM!

Quote:Agreed; I think he was exaggerating on that part heh.Given I mostly run though the trials on my blaster, yea. That's likely why the pulse is being toned down a lot. Mostly I was just saying that Antimatter would have had to be fairly damaged for the pulse to be powerful enough to one-shot you if the only damage you've taken was from falling.
-
Quote:Weird, it's fun to me. Guess fun is subjective eh?Well since the cats out of the bag I will weigh in.
@Golden Girl, Hon, do you even hear yourself anymore, or do you blindly defend anything the Devs do? Keyes is not, and will not ever be "fun." The idea of a Superhero MMO is to make us feel like Superheroes... this violates that precept by putting in an unresistable damage type that both the Pulse and the AV use like it's a pop gun... Not Fun, even with the proposed changes to tone it down, Not Fun... Not in the least...
And as to the OP...I agree with everyone else; I don't see the point in having the new trees locked behind a 15 e-merit 'gate'.
Edit:
Oops, well after I see GG's link to Arbiter Hawk's post....this topic is now moot -
Make it do a huge pbaoe buff to teammates (and leaguemates); like +tohit, +dmg, +end. recovery, +hp regen....seeing a teammate use that power inspires everyone to be just as awesome as that person.
Same recharge, same everything; just adding the buff.
Oh wait, you mean make it useful without OP'ed? meh...what's the sense? -
Quote:So I just wanted to say that the new Destiny power is actually quite nice. Having some people use it in the MoM trials last night that I was in and having a league tp power is nice as well as the bonus to healing...making my Mind/Emp Controller's PBAoE heal heal for over 400 (maybe 500) HPs is nice!...
The Destiny one is a league teleport and a heal...wow...compared to every other Destiny power...that is some major suckage.
Heal Other was healing for 1k HPs I think and Absorb Pain was doing 2k+ HPs...that's without me using my Power Boost power either.
Is it the best Destiny power ever? No. Is it useful? Absolutely.
Quote:The only good one out of the bunch is the new Judgement power, useful for Martial arts characters...and it's locked behind 15 emp merits because...?
Quote:The Inteface slots are...eh..they're not as crappy as the Alpha or the Destiny but chance for endurance drain, chance for imobilize, Maximum HP debuff seems ok but will probably be tiny debuff that doesn't really add much and Chance to confuse which is damn near useless in the ITrials anyway. Compared to the near always useful -regen and -resistance debuffs...they're unfortunately just not upto snuff.
So yeah...why are they locking powers that are essentially WORSE than the ones you can unlock freely behind a 15 emp merit gate...it just makes no damn sense. But yeah, the other interfaces....meh...

Trick-or-Treating....clicking on random doors throughout the city. You have to be in a zone that's lvl appropriate for you. So if you're lvl 5, do ToT'ing in Atlas...if you're lvl 30 anything from Bricks/Talos down to AP works. Lvl 50 works anywhere (I think). -

Quote:I'm not sure this is true any more with the Incarnate trials and stuff for that kind of player.
I enjoy all of the game but Incarnates have breathed new life into my 50s and sometimes I struggle with my lower level characters when I play them until I can change my thinking to enjoy playing at the lower levels.
Same with me. With Incarnate'goodness I'm like, "which toon do I want to Incarnate out next?!?"
Then they taunt me with Street Justice and other good/new powersets....ack, I'm supposed to be making my lvl 50s better not making new toons! -
Quote:Backspace is bound to the equivalent of "/beginchat /tell LastPersonWhoSentMeATell, "
The reason is that /r is prone to mistells. Imagine the following situation.
RLFriend: Hi!
Me: /r Heya!
RLFriend: How's it going?
Me: /r Long and embarrassing story about recent events that takes a while to type.
Now imagine, right before you hit enter on the last part, you get:
RandomPerson: lft?
But don't react fast enough. Whoops, your last /r just sent your long and embarrassing story to RandomPerson...
I remember something to that effect happening a few years ago...until the devs fixed it. Maybe somehow the BACKSPACE key got rebound to the /r instead of what it is now? *shrugs* don't remember heh. -
Quote:It does have a hold component, and Break Free inspiration will not help you to escape it.
Yes and no...
I know there's a hold component when the beam actually fires but I'm talking before it fires.
Example:
"Obliteration Beam is about to fire in 5 seconds!" (or whatever the first warning is)
Then you get the Oblit. Beam targeting graphic/green patch on the ground...that's when I got held a couple of times...a good 2-3 seconds before it actually fires.
And yes I've used a BF to break free from it and run away (and still get the badge from what I can recall; no absolute proof to say that I got the badge when that happened since I don't have that good of a memory).
Again, as far as I can remember I was never near AM (so no AM 'nuke' hold effect). -
Quote:Just got all 3 badges my first run thru on Live.
We had less than a minute to spare, too.
If you're *really* after the badge then being on a team of other badge hounds and everyone agreeing to throwing out Shivans and HVASs helps *a lot*. DPS is the name of the game.
Also, if they're using the zone-spawning rules, you don't want to be running too fast and too much. Players moving at a certain speed don't trigger spawns. Standing still causes zombies to spawn right next to you. Same with flying: spawns don't spawn once you hit a certain height.
And you don't want to be fighting the Abomination at the same time as killing zombies. You'll be wasting Damage on the AV regeneration. Once you hit 99 zombies, then go all out on the Abomination. Lots of -Regen is useful here, so make sure you have Envenomed Daggers.
Question about the 3rd badge (Tricked Out)...did you wear the costume throughout the whole trial or just at the end? -
Quote:We hung out on the graves and they seemed to spawn a lot faster, we were done with the zombies with around 3 or so minutes to spare.
Hmm, okay that was my thought.
One other person and I were usually standing on/nearby graves but...didn't seem to help.
Did you have everyone (including the Abomination) standing on/near graves?
Edit: Thanks for the Tricked Out badge note though...didn't know there were 3 badges! :O -
So I finished the new Dr. Kane's HoH trial and it was fun and looked great.
One question though...is there any way to speed up the zombies spawning at the end of it all?
It seems like they are on a timer but...maybe they aren't?
Either way the team of 4 of us that did it this morning got both badges (we defeated Abomination with like 1 sec. left)....but was curious if there was a way to speed up the zombie ambushes. -
Quote:...
As for the original post, in a Keyes run a few hours ago, I got held by Atomic Blast shortly before the beam hit. And no break frees in my tray. And when I asked about the hold after the trial, it took me and one other regular Keyes runner a few minutes to figure out what had happened.
Just a side note but there have been times where I have been held (playing on either my Kin/Rad Def or Mind/Emp. Controller; so no mez. protection that they have) right before the Oblit. beam was fired.
I swear there is a hold that the Oblit. beam does/uses before it fires...I've been caught in it before but I always carry one BF at the minimum for cases like this.
When I lead a Keyes I try to tell squishies to always carry 1 BF for the final fight and the rest greens. -
When I was playing someone mentioned in the global channels that the contacts up to SSA 4 was up and in the live client...
Whether or not that person was talking about the live NPC person in the game or...if he (or she) was a "filthy pigg diver" I don't know/remember heh.
