Sorry I couldn't lead a UG this past Saturday. It was a spur of the moment thing unfortunately; my brother came over to the house and so hung out with him.
This coming up Saturday though, I will hopefully lead one again, 8pm EST. -

Yeah it will be interesting for sure.
I know I was one that was very skeptic about how X:FC would turn out but I still think it was the best "super-hero" movie that came out this past summer. -

My understanding is that as long as you are behind the War Walker you should be fine.
That is if the tanker has been taunting the AV and everyone is behind it, it only will affect the tanker.
I know that's what I try and do; although I didn't do a great job of positioning the AV last time I did the UG....it was facing everyone (it was in the corner facing outwards towards the tracks) and because of that the AV held/feared and killed the league more than I wanted

You're clearly not interested in progressing a new character in power slowly while fighting greater and greater threats. You just want all the levels and all the badges as efficiently as possible.

When one of my characters has Sis P's badge, it's because that character actually helped her out. Not because they exploited game mechanics to get the badge as quickly as possible.
What exactly do you do with the character once you've efficiently gotten all the levels and all the accolades? Do you efficiently start a new character? Or efficiently grind the incarnate trials?
What great great fun.
Some people like farming (either doing AE missions over and over or what have ya), some like roleplaying, some like setting the diff. at -1x0 and solo'ing the whole game like that and some even like to PvP....
What's the issue here?
As others have said, if the leader says "this is a speed run" and you don't want to do a speed run (and everyone else on the team does) then either "get over it" or quit and let them know why. -
So when you say horror what do you mean?
I'm not a horror movie person but I've seen some "horror" movies I guess...

It seems lately, I've been busy in rl and the only time I've been on for anything more than an hour is on Saturdays....and it looks like I'll be doing the UG trial as long as people want to do it on Saturday nights.
I'm always willing to do (almost) anything so if you need someone and I'm on, I should be able to help ya (or anyone else)! -

Granted...I would never invite someone to team during a mission if I planned to leave right after that mission...however, by simply accepting his invite request without asking anything...that's on you.
I have invited many people during the middle of missions because people leave during the middle of missions. Though I'm also inviting with intent on running more missions.
Don't get me wrong cause I like to team up with people (even with those that I don't know) but there are (especially "there were" back in the days when CoH was the new shiny heh) really bad PUGs at times...sometimes it's just better (more fun) to "do it for the lulz"

Point 4 and 5 don't mix well together...you say in point 5 that you join PUGs mostly for the "lulz"...yet you say skip out on teams that have a leader that asks, "r u heAl0r?" when that is the exact type of team you want to be in for the lulz!
Oh and I agree with most people that newchemicals said...if you want to know something, ask the leader before you either accept the invite or go any further.
Oh and nice hyperbole Bad_Influence
Ie. saying instant team-wipe on all run-ins then in the last say you were part of the way through 1 part of the cargo map...so that means either the mobs killed themselves or your team did defeat some mobs before your team wiped.

Besides I like those types of teams too Bad_Influence...if all the teammates are PUGs...it's definitely for the lulz..just buff up the teammates and jump in with them but then back out...watch them die...over and over again....lulz hehehe

Mechanically, I expect 2 fights with Cole when we do fight him. Similar to Romulus/Nictus Romulus. One fight in which it's just Cole, and he's relatively easy, and a second fight in which the Well decides to inhabit Cole and take us on personally. The second one would be MUCH tougher.

I can also see, depending on how they do it, a fight with Tyrant and then some time during the fight, Praet. Hamidon comes out and wants a piece of us and Tyrant...maybe fighting off both at the same time. -

Okay so I know this has happened to me before but I have never put this out on the forums.
Right now when you have league (of let's say 24 people) doing the UG trial; I split the league into 4 teams for the trap room. When we get closer to the IDF bombs I am putting all who are ranged and want to do the clearing of the bombs in another separate team, team 5 for instance.
However, after about 2 or 3 people that I move into team 5, somehow that team 5 is now team 3 (or 2 or 4) and the original team 3 (or 2, 4) is now team 5.
Why in the world does it do this? It's so frustrating!

My suggestion is to fix this.... So that when the league leader is moving people around, that the team numbers don't randomly swap around.

As far as I know and am able to financially I'll be a VIP til the servers go down or until I get bored of CoH (or, again, financially can't do it).

Okay, again, I'll hopefully be able to lead another UG run this coming Saturday night (8pm EDT most likely).
We had a full league last time so be there or be square!
This time I'll remember about the pbaoe yellow/purple aura attack that the Avatar does AND we'll use Clarion before we start the fight against him heh. -
