Back on point though, I like inviting:

    1.) SG/alliance SG-mates
2.) Friends (real life as well as others that I've teamed with enough to know how they play for the most part)
3.) Random people that I recognize their names since I've played with them before.
4.) Anyone else (for the most part).
  3. Lots of sets to choose from but...I think the set(s) I hate the most is:

    Peacebringers

Ugh, HATED leveling that toon up.
  4. So I just did SSA # 5 on both the hero and villain side.

I enjoyed the cutscene and I'd favor the hero side cause at least the hero contact wasn't a "nobody".

I did the hero side first then villain side. I talk to the villain guy and he's like, "yo I'm a nobody, no one has heard of me before but I talk like this. Yo, I heard you been wanting to look for Darrin Wade...I think he's in PO somewhere...maybe over in this bar...check it out okay dude?"

Luckily villains don't have to talk with him except twice (once to start the TF and then lastly to finish it).

Once upon a time, we were testing another version of the game. A powerset was leaked (Beam rifle).

When it was discovered (like the Beast Mastery - someone created a blaster AT and noticed a new set), the forums went crazy. A redname jumped in and asked how we knew about said power set since it wasn't supposed to be in the build..

Our response was "Uh, it's currently in the game"

To which the response from the redname was "oh. That's not supposed to be there. Enjoy"

Yeah I was going to say that too. Beam Rifle was another "oops" powerset that was out on beta when i21 came out.

    Edit:

I think the Hover Board (used to be called that at least) was an accident that it was out at the same time too.

But from what GG posted about the end of story arc bonuses; heck...that may be very nice and not as slow as I thought it'd be...

Wonder how many missions/arcs there are in DA. 30 mins (to stealth/speed through a story arc) for a chance at a very rare component? Fine by me

Nice! I never thought of that before

Oh and DSL; Propel is now activating in 2.07s ...not 2s...so I was wrong when I said 2s previously

    It does.

Does this also phase the player when they enter? If so I'll give it a shot.
As far as we know, it does not. But it can still be useful. Put on/around the Blaster so that mobs can't hit him in melee range and the Blaster can still shoot things from range (other things to do with it too but...).

...Okay, this is a nice change, but if it's still a 15' radius I'm not grabbing the entire spawn most of the time anyways.

And it's a 20 ft. radius now; it doesn't aggro mobs like it does now (unless you already have aggro).

    I'd have to agree.

    We'll see but...*shrugs*

    I'd like both as well

  14. Nice!

    Thanks for the link(s)!

    Hooray for a better telepad!

And a new lvl 15+ trial

I figure the devs wouldn't go *completely* insane and let me have copies of powers...so I'd just be limited to taking versions from specific ATs.
    I like it!

Although I think it needs more Lightning Rod!

Lightning Storm, Lightning Rod, Fulcrum Shift, etc....

Why yes, I do like lightning bolts!

That's the way I read it

But wow...I didn't know about the 5 min. changes! Is that only for dual/team inspirations or for all inspirations?

I can see it being for only team/dual inspirations...at least make them somewhat "useful."

Especially get a few of the team BF ones...tada now everyone can have greater than 20 confuse protection!

I will say why not just keep the phase location AoE on the reactor itself all the time? If it phases the reactor (it may not but...maybe ?) then no worries.

But yeah, it will be interesting to test; I know I haven't touched my grav/thermal since I unlocked the alpha slot on him....hmm...
  22. So the new costume sets are 'meh' to me...look nice I guess but...not for me.

    Thanks for the write-up though!

You can target a spot in the air, as well, so as to limit the volume of the sphere that intersects with a spawn, if you feel so inclined. All of this works together to let you control with great finesse how much of a group you phase, as well as giving Gravity Control characters a tool for "Area of Effect Denial" - perfect for stopping everything coming through a door, or for dropping where that blaster is standing so that the enemies around him can't melee him.
I never thought of doing something like that...nice idea to "protect the squishies"

We wanted to make Dimension Shift a toggle so that it could be turned off when the group was ready to attack the phased creatures. Toggle powers check whether or not their targets are eligible every tick of their effect, so you can't make a creature-targeted toggle phase power - the target would be eligible for the first tick, but on the second tick it would be in a different phase from the caster and would be ineligible. I got around this by having the power target a location instead of a creature - since the location is always in the caster's phase, the power works.
I was curious how you got around it because I remember Castle (?) saying with how phase works it couldn't be made into a toggle. Nice work around

    Quote:
As for the request to switch Wormhole and Dimension Shift's order in the powerset, as a general rule we don't re-order powers within sets anymore - it causes problems for players when respec'ing. I've tested the revamped set internally a fair amount, and I think with these changes to the powers it's a very playable, very competitive control set - when it hits beta, I definitely recommend you all try it out at various level ranges to see how it feels, and provide further feedback. Thanks to all of you who have participated in this sort of unofficial feedback thread.
    =(

But okay, will definitely want to play around!

But if this makes me want to play my lvl 50 Grav/Thermal Controller more on live....I'll be because I already have plenty of toons to "incarnate out"!

I like the idea of it at least....lots of hands (or maybe just 1 big hand) 'holding' the mob(s) in a location based area attack.

The one big hand could be like the Spirit Shark so instead of a "ghostly" shark holding a mob; you'd have a "ghostly" hand holding/squeezing the mob!
  25. I'll be waiting for/expecting some write-ups since I can't attend these things!
