Now I'll just say I haven't read any responses after the first two from the first OP but just wanted to say that what I quoted is still true.
Most of my toons only have common/regular (non-set based) IOs. Sure I do have a few toons that are using set IOs and only 1 (maybe 2?) are "purple'd" out.
But for most things (even in itrials); common IOs are just fine.
*shrugs*
I don't see the huge push for set based IO toons....maybe if the itrials were "meant" to be solo'd or something but...the new DA solo content can be solo'd by an SO'd/common IO'd toon (did it on my lvl 50 Grav/Thermal Controller who only has common IOs in him).

Granted I may not do as much damage, or be able to do the DA solo missions at +4x8 but...then again most of my toons now (even my purple'd out perma-dom/hasten Dom. can't...didn't build him for def...just rchg).

As far as advice goes:
Usually I only do lvl 50 set IOs (or lvl 40/45+ depending on price on the market of the recipe) because I'm lazy like that.
Only hindrance to that is if you exemp alot, if you do then yes, you'd want to get lvl 30 or so set IOs.
For the most part, all set IOs are pretty cheap (excluding procs like the LotG:+7.5% rchg buff, etc...). Salvage again is usually cheap but if you come across certain salvage that is ridiculously priced, I would suggest running an AE mission or two and just buy the salvage using AE tickets.
Is that annoying? Yes But it does save money (and getting 80 AE tickets isn't hard/too tedious (80 for an uncommon)). -

Hmm, never saw the "mirror's edge" trailer for this movie but just watched this trailer...
A big "meh" from me. Just really didn't like Peter's hair/look (actor wise)...*shrugs*

It's looking good and The Hulk looks good. I didn't care for the 2008 Hulk...too "vein-y" and skin looked plastic or something *shrugs* -

I've always wanted more options!
Like, for instance, why can't there be pools with a power that doesn't attack/do damage?
Like, in the "ice" power pool, you could have "ice wall"...it'd create a wall of thick ice preventing enemies from following you or others. Maybe have it have x amount of HP so that the mobs can attack it/blow it up before moving after you (or just have it on a timer that it melts after x seconds).
Little things like that, that sure it wouldn't be "teh uber" but it might just be "fun" for some

I'll just throw my 2 inf. in and say I'd love to see some type of changes happen to Ice Control.
Every time I think about making an Ice Control/* Controller or Dom. I'm like...eeeh...Ice Control is so weak as far as actually controlling mobs (comparing it to earth, mind, plant...etc...).
I have never made an ice control toon that has made it past lvl 8 or so....never know if that will change but...I'd like to see some love for the set.
And yes, I'd like to see other sets buffed/loved too (like TA, FF and Sonic Reson.). -

The only thing that catches my eye on that note was "full io sets needed."
The "widow or dark miasma needed" could be one of those 'things' where the leader would like x AT/powerset....okay no biggie....
But full io sets? Really?

I think it's Quizno's that has "Northern Tea" vs "Southern Tea" with (Unsweetened Tea) labeled below the "Northern Tea" heh...thought that was funny. Might not be Quizno's but...some restaurant here does that.... -
It is interesting to see/hear all the different teas.
Me, I drink water.
No really, that's about all I drink. I do love a nice cold glass of milk (2%) as well but usually just have water. Nice cold refreshing water...mmm...
I drink tea now and then but...my "cool story"...
Being from the "north" (ie. PA), tea meant; you know...tea. When my family moved down to the south (VA); my brother and I were helping another friend from church (the 'friend' was a girl that my brother was after so....); the girl's mom was like, "if ya'll are thirsty I bought some sweet tea from Hardee's (a fast food restaurant here) so help yourself!"
So later on, I poured myself a little cup of it, took 1 'gulp' of it and was like, O_O that's no tea! That's sugar-water!
Cool huh?
But yeah....over time I haven't seen the appeal of sugar-water "tea".... -
Make it so devs!
Oh and make it so that Null can turn off the effects/graphics of Hasten & Super Speed (except in pvp).
