  1. I really enjoyed (and still would) playing my human-only WS in a mid-sized to large team setting (especially if there was a kinetic user in it!).

I HATED playing my PB....probably cause I experienced the greatness of a WS and tried to play the PB like my WS (human-only PB).

I enjoyed my SoAs (have a Bane and now a Night Widow I think); definitely one of the "fastest" toons to lvl 50 for me (I think it took 70 hours with all of that being teamed up with sgmates/friends).

An all SoA team is great with all the tactics, assault and manuevers.

Back to the point of the topic....

    hooray buffs!

And hooray for great changes to Khelds! (even though I don't play mine anymore....).

So no real point to having a "pvp only" server for CoH.

    Just saying

    What?! Symmetry ftw!

*Actually I'd like asymmetrical options too*
  6. Maybe it's the color schemes used in the pictures but *shrugs* a bit "meh" to me.

I like the wings (and the sword) though.
  7. What about:

Power Pool Customization! No more Super Speed/Hasten effects (or the ability to customize the colors at least)!

    Pfft, that's an easy answer.

Just write in code that says, "Since you are a Blaster (for example), you can only die from someone who is a Tanker (for example)." "You are a Dominator AT, you can only die from someone who is a PeaceBringer/Warshade."

    ta-da Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Now, where's my game developer grade salary?!

Hey I take exception to that! If CoH PvP was like an FPS, I'd be all-over it

At least in the FPS, everyone has the same guns (or the same chance to get them at the very least), everyone can jump the same height, run the same, etc... (unless you're teh hax'ing!).

CoH...not so much...one of the reasons why I didn't like pvp before i13, "you had to have super speed, combat jumping, hurdle, etc...,etc..."
  10. I went brute mainly cause I'll be getting the taunt in Staff Fighting and want the extra DEF, HP, hp regen, etc...that a Brute would have over a Scrapper
  11. I've always been a supporter of objective-based PvP.

Recluse's Victory was a try at that but again; who cares if heroes or villains win? If the rewards for the winning side were felt everywhere (for villains or heroes) then okay maybe I might be interested.

And I guess to re-answer the OP's question: "I pvp in TF2 just not in CoH."
  12. I'm sure it's been mentioned before but I'll say why I don't pvp (especially now).

    There's no point to it.

No reward (don't say PVP recipes because there's a chance at 'em and not a guarantee) to pvp.

Even if there were guaranteed PVP recipe drops every time I still wouldn't do pvp (okay this is a lie, I'd "pvp" and kill my toons on my 2nd account for the recipes to either sell or use) but I wouldn't actually pvp.
  13. Westin Phipps has a few AVs in his arcs.

The Rikti dude in Grandville (forgot name) has Positron & Valkryie in his missions which can be AVs.

The patrons have at least 1 AV in their arcs; some have 2-3 I think.

    Edit:

I'm sure there's more but I can't think of 'em atm.

Unfortunately it is probably the latter. Can't have people pulling mobs into lava pits and have the lava kill 'em...nooooo...

Ah, the days of killing mobs while hovering (or jet pack'ing)
  15. I'm reporting to you that a new initiative is starting up; it's called Jabberwocky.

I'm assured that you know what it is, Jabberwocky will increase productivity and propaganda for the Syndicate by 5 folds if not more so please remember that all information regarding Jabberwocky is confidential and must remain in the "Basket" facility.
  16. I'll just agree that there needs to be more (and new) SFs redside like the OP has mentioned.

However, I doubt it will happen..."better time spend elsewhere" and all that

    Staff 'n stuff

Yeah I was debating on if I want to make my staff toon a Scrapper or Brute but I'm going to go Brute.

Mainly because I'll actually take the taunt on this toon and Brutes have the ability to be more of a "tanker" than a Scrapper (higher HP/res caps, etc...).

    Agreed...

When I first made my Storm/Psy Defender he was a "themed" character...he has 3 "tornado" powers...

Tornado from the primary, Psionic Tornado from the secondary and Whirlwind from the Speed power pool.

This was before Storm/Psy and Whirlwind were "awesome" in pvp

Freezing Rain + Psi Tornado was a pretty good combo for knocking mobs up/down.
  19. I got the last of my mez badge(s) from being in Warburg and having one of the Toxic Tarantulas use its Ranged Hold on me...luckily that's all it did.
  20. Wait, I thought there was one time where Hulk did lift the Mjolnir....

I know Cap. America did but...*shrugs*

That's on purpose since it's the contact's "personal story"....

Now why we don't (or can't) have that contact's "powers" while we're doing those mission(s) is another question

The way some people are embracing this change, you'd think the Devs had fixed an issue that caused your character to always respawn in Atlas Park, Mercy Island, or Nova Praetoria when you logged out.

    That's why it's called a Quality of Life change/fix

    Is it really needed? No

Is it awesome that I don't have to toggle on 8 or so toggles on some of my toons now? YES!

    Psionic Armor

I kind of understand why the OP would want "psionic armor" but if you're just looking for an armor set that gives protection against psionic attacks (resistance I guess I should say)...Dark Armor ftw!

My DA tanker has 75 or 80% resist to psy I think heh...all I know is it's actually a bit higher than my S/L resist (by 5% or so I think).
