  1. Right, time to give out some picks of the Dusk Spiders base that I made. It's a very Arachnos themed base, so if you would bear that in mind when checking it out... it'll make more sense at least!

Okay, here's a picture of the overall layout of the base.
    Overview

Let's start at the beginning then, with...
    The entrance teleporter!

After that we have the conferance table which has both the rest and recuperation areas next to it!

Then we have the medical bay.

While you're over there, check out the power generator and the Magitech room where we study (dismantle) the arcane arts and steal magical energy and turn it into power!

Over the other side we have the teleportation room. In fact, we have both of them! This way we can go anywhere.
Leading off there are the office room of Commander Varrick and Arbiter Deus.

If you head to the top of the base you'll find the Control Room, along with the flyer hanger and armoury.

Oh yeah! Don't forget the workshop! Plus this angle too.

Enjoy and I hope it inspires you all as you have me!
  2. 'Pologies for the double post and all, but Mysticism's wiki is also finished now. At least, for the time being. Chances are I'll tweak it here and there if I think of something.

    Enjoy!
  3. Watching people turning Chinese was rather an alarming experience for Mysticism. Trust her luck, first time back in action and dinosaurs roamed the streets and peoples race changed. A somewhat disturbing thought entered her head.

"What the hell? Am I turning Chinese too?" She stopped by a big puddle to see her reflection, using a particularly strong gale to blow away a raptor that ran at her. She breathed a sigh of relief.

Pity you're not. Black-asian cross would be quite rare. I'd pay to see that. came Gaia's vaguely amused tone in her head.

Mysticism frowned and ignored her. She flew on towards the hole in the sewers. It was bad enough having dinosaurs above ground, underneath they could topple a building or something.
She looked round at the sky scrapers around her. Yeah. Unstable foundations would -not- be good.
  4. I'd be interested in giving any version of Lea a run for her money PvP style. Likewise for Freddie Femur, that will be very interested, being both masterminds.

Sadly, as some of you may have noticed, I haven't been online much due to internet troubles. When I connect (that should be -if- I can connect) I have incredibly stupid lag. It's like having mapserver for ten minutes before putting me back to where was, except that you don't realise it. It's a nightmare. Damn you BT! What have you done this time!?

Still, as soon as I'm fighting fit connection wise, I'd be up for a PvP match against either Lea or Freddie.
  5. Just out of range of the spears as they flew towards her, Mysticism kept an eye on the hologram.

    "Is that true?"

Probably not... came the disinterested reply of Gaia

"Probably!?" It seemed her symbiotic partner wasn't quite as all knowing as she had believed. "So by killing these cavemen and dinosaurs we may write ourselves out of existence?"

No. You'll be fine. You're anchored to me as I am to you. While we're together, time will find a way to compensate.

"But what about everybody else? There are billions of people out there! What if we accidentally kill them?"

There was a pause. I don't see the problem. If they suddenly never existed then you'll never know they were gone. Because they didn't exist. Now.

Mysticism shook her head. She didn't understand. Still, doing nothing would end up killing people anyway, so she flew down towards the sewers. As an afterthought, she summoned a storm in the sky, trying not to smile as she heard the 'ooks' and 'blooks' of the cavemen as their pterodactyls were hit by lightning.
  6. ((This is my first ever attempt at forum roleplay, and I will be trying something a little different. Rather than having a set story where heroes eventually get to the root of the problem, what the players find out will be entirely up to what they do. The choices they make will affect what happens later on, and in some cases may lead to the source winning or they simply never find out what happens. Naturally, the opposite is also true and the heroes may find out everything.

As it all depends on the amount of heroes, I will give you all some time to join in. Anybody can join, as it'll start off with vahzilok trouble. Something I'm sure most heroes have had to deal with on occasion. Enjoy!))

The night was particularly dark. With no moon and no cloud cover that day, it was bitterly cold as well. Brickstown slept it's concrete slumber as the Ziggurat watched over it. As was often the case with Paragon City however, the wail of police car sirens broke the silence as a large group of Vahzilok surgeons made an attempt to escape. The car swerved down in front of the entrance to the alley they had run down. The officer watched as at the other end another car pulled up against their exit. Smiling with satisfaction, the grin turned to horror as a surgeon instead jumped onto the bonnet of the car, bringing his cleaver down on the windscreen with a smash.

Scrabbling for his radio, the officer managed to make a final bid for more backup before he was dragged out of his car.

    [ QUOTE ]
“Help! Oh my god help! We need back up! Vahzilok surgeons in Brickstown, The Chasm area! They've got hostages! Aghh! Let go of me! No!”

    [/ QUOTE ]

The radio message was broadcast across all channels, meaning any heroes who had received their PPD radio heard it. The question was, would they make it in time?
  7. After seeing the performance from Leandrea, I'd be interested in having a go with Walter.
  8. Fiona (Mysticism) Myers was in the midnight club in Steel Canyon when it happened. Still not used to having somebody else in her head, she jumped when she heard the voice of Gaia, suddenly and uncharacteristically animated.

'Outside. Now. You're going to want to see this. Take your suit.'

Fiona quickly ran to her room and changed into her old hero suit. She hadn't used it in a while. Still, better to get back into the swing of things with some action than not at all. Opening the door of the club, her eyes widened.

It's alright. Try not to faint. They're just dinosaurs. The added technology is a problem I'll admit, but that's why we're here. Pull yourself together girl. Also, you may want to duck. Gaia had returned to her bored drawl.

Fiona ducked, feeling the hot trail of a rocket fly over her head as a Tyrannosaurus Rex with a back full of cavemen and rockets thundered past.

"Just dinosaurs!? What the hell is going on? Who did it? Portal corp? The menders? This is one hell of a way to fix time!"

I don't know more than you do. However, on the bright side, maybe now less people will disregard the theory of evolution. I'll admit, the thought of the looks on the faces of the evangelicals would make me laugh if I was able to.

Ignoring Gaia, Fiona took up her role as the hero Mysticism and flew into the air, ready to fight. Where ever these dinosaurs had come from, they'd picked the wrong city to move to.

    Fiona's Place

Hmm, I wasn't aware of a cap on coalitions. That makes the place fairly limited in itself, as we'd only be able to coalition with so many places ourselves.
Ah well. It was worth a try. Any bases who wish to coalition to it are more than welcome, just PM me or say so in this thread.

And yes, frothy coffee for all!
  10. EmperorLol

    Fiona's Place

Why would you need to break them? It's not an SG per se, it's an IC location. Similar to going to going to the mall or whatever, except that due to game restrictions you'd need to coalition with it in order to get to it (excluding teams with staff in).
  11. EmperorLol

    Fiona's Place

Just to let you all know that the supergroup base for Fiona's place is finished and ready for use! Ordinarily this wouldn't apply to more than about two people, but Fiona's place is not a regular supergroup.

What we intend is to set up coalitions with all the RPSGs that will have us, and have Mysticism's cafe as an IC area, specially for roleplaying and meeting up with other people.

While GG is only in a certain place at a certain time, Fiona's place will be open all hours for anybody who wants to use it for whatever means. It could also be used in plots (forum or otherwise), IC stories, whatever.

The point is, nobody would have to join the SG to use it, so you can still go there and belong to a supergroup. Could everybody who is interested in forming a coalition, or having their leader form one, please post in this thread and arrangements will be made.
  12. Aha! Thanks Pious, I'll bear that in mind.

    edit: Also, 50th post! *ahem*
  13. Hey, just to let you all know, Neurocide 's Handbook page is done. Enjoy!

On a side note, would anybody like a sandwich?
  14. Nice, I like it a lot. Particularly the empowerment station, I may have to make something similar myself. Good job. ^^
  15. Walter stared at the outstretched hand with barely concealed suspicion, his mind quickly calculating the various pros and cons of such an alliance.

His hand reached hers, and he nodded respectfully with a smile "I believe you made the right choice. With all of our... varied skills combined, we shall certainly make a force to be reckoned with." he took his hand back and turned to Romanov
"If you would give me the plans for this device, I will begin work on it immediately. When this matter is out of the way, then I would like to discuss some... details." His suit belched out more fumes as he watched Romanov carefully.
Jeeves anticipated a while without blowing things up, and began to switch to standby mode.
  16. Lord Erebus' question was left unanswered for the time being, as at that moment, the portal at the other end of the room shivered.
From it's depths came a robotic, brass clad man, who spewed steam as he walked. The expression on his face gave all the distict impression he was not amused. Following closely behind him came a gigantic robot, emerging from the portal ready for an ambush.
Purposefully striding up the stone steps, Walter Steamworth reached Romanov, glancing at the two others that flanked him as he reached his target.

He looked the man in the eye as Jeeves kept an eye on the other two either side of him, both reading on his scanners as 'dead'. The information was relayed to Walter instantly.

"Romanov." he nodded slightly, watching him intently. "I know that you would not seek me out and send undead messengers into my workshop for the pleasure of my company, so let us get straight to the point. What do you want?"

Walter knew it had been a risk coming, but had decided that if he -was- to be let into Romanov's personal sanctum, perhaps it would be worth listening to what he had to say.

The next few seconds of silence were interupted by a single word from Jeeves to everybody present.
    "Yo."
  17. Darkness prevailed in the Arachnos base. The only source of light being the monitor that glared and flickered in the Dusk Spider's workshop, diagnostics and test results spread across the screen. The screen was blocked out for a second, and the rest of the room plunged into darkness. The rest of the dark room was of no interest to Walter Steamworth as he quickly scanned the results and made ammendments to his latest device. It was almost finished. Soon he'd need actual subjects, rather than simulations.

He sniffed the air briefly, before turning back to his work.
"What do you want?" he said to the all encompassing darkness.
"Master Romanov wishes to speak with you." If the silhouette moved, Walter didn't see it as he made an adjustment to his machinery.
"What the devil would he want with me?" he replied, glancing slightly at the shape that he could barely make out. Even with his monocle switched to night vision.

"You are to meet with him. He has important information. He is expecting you."

The room fell silent save for the clink of metal on metal as Walter made a few more adjustments.
"I have no dealings with those who deal with the dead."

"Master Romanov wishes to speak with you." the shape repeated.

Walter sighed. It was reasons like this that he didn't bother with the organic. Dead or alive. There was silence again, until a sudden gush of steam was heard and a robotic voice droned into the darkness. "Yay or nay?"

A switch was pulled down by Walter's robotic hand, and the room was flooded with harsh, bright light.
The light glinted off the metal of Jeeves' armour as he stood behind the black robed figure, his plasma cannon pressed against the back of its head. Another vent opened and steam burst out of him.

Walter paused, listening to the rasping breath of the undead entity before him. He shook his head.
"No. Don't bother. Look up all information on one Alexander Romanov."

A disappointed sound came from Jeeves, but he lowered the cannon and began searching. Information began entering Walter's brain, and he watched the cloaked figure as it stood before him.

Finally he nodded to Jeeves. The flow of information stopped.
"I'll go." he said, adjusting his top hat on his head. "But tell your 'master' to next time send something a rather more alive. I just do not have the time to be dealing with flesh golems."
He ran a hand over his soon-to-be-completed machine distractedly, before looking up at the creature.
    "When am I expected."
The cloaked creature told him, and the lights flickered and died for a second, returning again a second later with the creature gone.

Walter turned back to his work. He waved a dismissive hand at Jeeves "Make the preparations."
The machine glared at Walter's back, before stomping off to do as it was told. It carried on imagining blowing off the dark creatures head as it left, and chuckled slightly.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
Bending canon slightly is alright. For example, Blitz and the Unbroken Column (which I am a part of too) isnt really official canon, but its there, and fun.
I think the general thing that can be applied is 'if its god-moding, its bad'. For example, vampires that are suddenly immune to absolutely everything. I ran into TWO in Pocket D in one night, and a couple more dimensional/demonic undead beasties. My priest, who is a human, armed with a gun, lots of holy ammunition and basic skills with holy flame, basically got bounced off the walls, as 'Oh look we're immune to holy light too and holy bullets dont work either.'

/rant. Anyways, with canon as with most other things. Make it fairly sensible, dont drop one on other people and try to make it realistic.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You're also forgetting that a lot of vampires state that the religious aspect is just superstition, because in order for it to affect them, it would have to actually be holy, rather than (in their eyes) just crazy men with 'special' water.
Does holy water and crucifixes really have power over undead or was it just a way of making the frightened and gulliable see them as powerful?
This is of course all a point of view in roleplaying but is just as valid as your own, so if that starts happening, just invite them to a team and talk with them OOC about it. If they really are godmodding, then you'll know as soon as you start talking OOC with them.
  19. Walter: I think Walter would actually follow this god if he did actually bring back his brother and friends who died in WW1. It's where everything stemmed from, so probably if the god brought them back, he'd be able to be happy again.

    That's kinda sad.

Mysticism: Would definitely fight against it, due to her being directly connected to the planet and fighting against anything that possibly could harm it. She'd have a hard time right now though, not being able to control her powers that great yet and all.
  20. Walter is finally ready to rock build-wise, so he'll be there and up for anything

    World Villains

    [ QUOTE ]
The way this relationship is building, Walter could be a hindering nemesis!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would actually prefer that by far to Walter helping. Hindering nemesis FTW! As they say.

    World Villains

I'd be interested, but as you probably saw from your conversation with Walter the other night, it's possible that he may not want to get involved.

ArcticPrincess: The only person who could change his mind about his goal would be if he actually saw the world domination theory as a means to his own end. I suppose you could never shake Walter from his purpose, but he is always open minded about other peoples ideas and how they could affect him.
  23. I am SO there.
However, I'm going to need to upgrade Walter pretty damn fast, so it's likely I'll be doing that all day before hand >.<
Also, that reminds me, being a MM, I can't survive blasters/corrs, but technically, I'm a ranged class (though I don't PvP that way).
Would I still have to be against a blaster/corruptor or could I take on somebody who would be more interesting, like a tank or brute?
  24. EmperorLol

    Harbinger OOC

I'd like to put Walter forward, but actually for helping stop the zombie masses. He'd see their potential success as to far too much of a shift to the status quo, which at the moment is satisfactory on his part.
He has no problem with Paragon, he'd rather it didn't get taken over by zombies as it's resources are far to great to lose to mindless corpses.
So yes, on this occasion, he'd actually be helping the heroes.
  25. Fiona watched as the various heroes back to leave, all seemingly satisfied with the outcome. She was reluctant to go back to the encased Lt. Tech, so she sat and waited on the bonnet of what was left of the car, watching the others leave.

((Any heroes who could IC put a good word in for Fiona with the PPD, would be much appreicated. Send me a PM or put it in here if the hero is still around to tell her.

Thanks for the plot Mech, was fun!))
