I have Felix Greene, a now retired detective who has gone private. He's colourblind and monologues outloud without realising it. He's more of a jokey 'now and again' roleplay character and he's not in the PPD anymore, but I thought I'd throw him in anyway.
-
Chief looks rather silly demanding information out of an unconscious man. Maybe reviving him first slipped his mind.
Kid Healer however was doing a little better. His captive was actually able to talk, though under the circumstances, thought maybe it wasn't a good idea to outright trust a guy who is in league with the girl who just broke the arm in the first place.
The surgeon panted, the pain obviously extreme, especially once Kid grabbed his arm.
"Urrgghh... yeah right... like I should believe you... you make it... argh, you make it stop... hurting, THEN maybe I'll talk."
The vahzilok surgeon groaned and tried to move "You'll probably... just... radiate me anyway... bastards..." -
The injured cop is now stable and probably won't die, at least not in the very near future. However even with all the healing powers around, the cop will never be fully better. The wound was simply too deep. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to bring him back to consciousness.
All of the vahzilok were either dead or unconscious, with the exception of one with a badly broken arm moaning in pain on the floor nearby. He wasn't going anywhere. The doctor dis-armed (literally) and unconscious, he no longer posed a threat, but Aisha stood over him anyway.
((Now it's up to you all to decide what to do next! I will post according to the reactions of the world around you all, otherwise go right ahead.)) -
Mysticism was already far too weirded out by all this. She gave up trying to make sense out of it all. The lobsters were firing at another lobster, which was apparently a bad lobster. As opposed to the 'good' lobsters she was surrounded by. Who had a bomb. And she was leader of.
She didn't attack yet, instead waiting to see what happened with this new lobster. Never-the-less, she began tuning herself in with her powers, ready for a fight if the need arose. -

If so, then ack >.< I either totally forgot about it or didn't see it. Damn, in that case the surgeon is unconscious on the floor with the others.)) -

light keeper leaves chief and the kid with the cop. And teloported seatlhly behied the running surgen, tripping him up whith a outstreched foot. She then cuffs him with a pair of handcuffs which where hanging from her wasit "well now your going no where my good chum."

((Alpha Boss I'm afraid I'm going to have to take this back, as (although I obviously didn't make it clear enough) this surgeon has already disappeared into the sewers and won't be found. Not only does the surgeon know the sewers far better than any of the heroes, you need to see where you're going to teleport and he'd already run off out of sight deep into the sewers. Instead you can make a different post and we'll ignore that one. It's simply too late to catch him, I mentioned him escaping three times and nobody did anything.))

You're one to talk Ty, I think we both know what I'm talking about, haw haw haw.

((I love how you're all playing pass the parcel with a near-dead cop while healing him xD))
The doctor spat in Chief's face, snarling as his remaining arm-saws whirled around him, keeping Flash and Aisha at arms length. He struggled for a second, attempting to worm his way out of the Chief's grip, before deciding to try to take his grabbed lab coat off in a bid to escape.
Healer Kid and Light Keeper were over to one side, desperately trying to heal the dying policeman, but even with the combined efforts of Kid and Light things weren't looking good. Healing a sliced lung isn't something that is easy, even for two healers. Despite this the wound had closed, but whatever happens, the cop would be breathing through a machine for the rest of his life, if at all.
The final vahzilok surgeon ran down the sewer, down and away and deeper into the putrid stinking darkness. -
The vahzilok doctor winced as he was kicked in the back by Light Keeper, his pack taking most of the hit and the arms lifting up out of the policeman to attack her. As they did Healer Kid rushed in, turning into a lizard and quickly carrying the badly injured cop out of harms way.
The doctor saw Kid run past him and turned to stop him, two arms coming down from above as he ran, with the other two keeping Light at bay. He was about to strike when he was suddenly hit by Flash's flames, his lab coat catching fire and he started yelling.
Beating the flames off his coat, he suddenly found the shadow of the Chief fall across him, his armoured body blocking the way for any more attacks on Kid, attempting to heal the very serious wounds.
Managing to subdue the flames enough to defend himself, the doctor was about to attempt to attack Flash and Light Keeper when two huge blasts of Aisha's Kheldian energy blew off two of his mechanical arms. The other two still managed to beat back the blows of the two heroes beating him though, and he began looking for a means to escape the suddenly surrounding heroes.
Suddenly unnoticed amongst the dead, wounded and unconscious surgeons however, the last able surgeon ran off towards the door the heroes had entered by. Attempting to slip off unseen, he hoped the fight with his boss was enough of a distraction. -

Until raiding is allowed again, I guess it doesn't make much difference. Not that I know either. Chances are they do different sorts of damage.

I find the most effective flooring is actually lots of safe-fu'd counters. Put say... three safes on the floor and put a cabinet on top and just use them all as a floor. I did it with three floors in Mysticism's cafe (I'll post some pics soon) and it looks great. Only problem would be falling through them while in build mode, so grab a raptor pack or fly/hover.
Naturally they're counters, so you can place anything on them like it's another floor. -
Nooooo Col! I'm going to miss you bud, sucks to hear about your lack of money.
Come back soon! Already the sound of zealous build rants are fading from my ears... -
If I'm honest I'd say that the base won't change for the time being. We'll need 6.5mil to place both the AES and Fusion Reactor. That's PLACE. If you add in that the current base cost around maybe 6mil itself, plus the extra prestige we'd need to A) upgrade the plot size B) have bigger rooms in general C) Buy all the stuff it needs to make it look good and fill all this lovely extra space and make it look even better than before while still being practical as a base... well... it's not worth remaking it until we have around an extra 10-12mil prestige in our banks (not including what the base is currently taking up).
Simply put, I don't expect it to change soon. It's a fully operational, 100% RPable, great looking base which all it lacks that is 'wanted' (but not necessary) is a bunk room. And hey, with a bit of swapping room places that could easily be put up. I mean, we only need the AES and Fusion Reactor as a 'Oh wow those are awesomesauce on a stick' pieces. So yeah, I'm not touching that base until we have sufficient prestige to make something bigger, better and more kickarse than before. -
((You left the head doctor alone with a hostage? Oh ho ho, not a good idea was it.))
The two surgeons with crossbows turned and fired at the Chief, only for one to be hit in the side by one of Aisha's bolts. As he sprawled across the floor in a heap, the other seemed at a loss for who to fight and instead turned and ran for the entrance.
Unconscious on the floor the surgeon Aisha had knocked out twitched, but didn't wake up.
Screaming in pain, the surgeon that had run to help his boss collapsed to one knee as his arm broke, just managing to find the strength to aim a punch at Flash's head.
Jumping back to his feet, the doctor recovered quickly from the Chief's punch, grimacing as he saw two of his men fall, one wounded and the other running. He growled and glanced to the still unconscious police officer lying on the table. "Bah! You may be stronger than us few, but you won't get away with this!" he shouted at the heroes, plunging one of his buzz saw arms down into the cop on the table as he raised the other three to defend himself. A twisted, insane grin spread across his face as a spray of hot blood flew into the air.
((edit: Al, your post was made after I started replying. I'm going to ignore it simply because you've already made TWO posts for this section alone, and you need to give the surgeons a chance to respond. No fun in just splatting enemies if they don't fight back.)) -
The initial shock of finding five heroes leaping and yelling at them quickly subsided into the human fight or flight response.
The doctor at the table turned in surprise, the bolt flying through the exact place he'd been standing a second earlier, if it hadn't been for the sudden noise. Glaring at them angrily he raised his saws to Flash and the Chief as they approached.
The surgeon nearest the hostages took a bolt to the back, sending him flying forward, along with his finger which stabbed the unresponsive civilian in the eye, gouging it out. The other bolt missed and hit the wall, but the civilian slumped down, not even reacting with the amount of blood coming out.
One of the other surgeons ran to his bosses aid, while the other three attacked the girl who had killed their friend. While the beefier one ran to engage Alura, the other two drew crossbows and began firing. -
Mysticism didn't like the sound of 'bombs'. Nor did she like the sound of 'drive back the communists'. Worse still, they were used in the same sentence.
"Whoa whoa, just a second. What bomb, and what Co--" she stopped, realising that in the face of Lobster men with bombs it probably wouldn't be a good sign if their 'leader' started asking who the enemy was. Heck, the last thing she wanted to do was to be seen as one of their enemies.
"Uh, I mean, what are you going to do with it? Aside from blow something up I mean... what's the purpose of it?"
On the subject of purpose... how did Lobster communism work? Do they have currency? What would they need it for? Maybe they bartered in small fish? I mean, what more would they need but food? Either way, it sort of throws the old saying 'plenty more fish in the sea' out the window if they need communism.
She tried her best to look unconfused or worried, presuming the lobsters knew what human facial expressions meant. If they considered her 'beautiful' (and under normal circumstances she'd have taken it as a compliment) then who knows what they could tell from a human.
In her head Gaia started chuckling at something, but replying would mean talking to herself. Not a good idea in front of military lobster dudes. She'd have to ask later. -
One of the surgeons nodded and heaved a policeman over his shoulder. Carrying him over to the table, he nearly turned directly to face the hiding heroes but luckily turned to the table at the last second.
Laying the cop down, the surgeon walked back to where his comrades stood, eager for the show to begin. One of them poked the unresponsive civilian in the eye and giggled as he didn't react. The doctor walked over to the police office on the table, his saws whirring to life as if they could sense the coming meat.
He drew a pair of scissors from inside his coat and began cutting away the clothes, preparing to start his gruesome work. -
The first thing that hit the heroes as the door opened was the increase in smell. As the stench of rotten flesh wafted down the tunnel, so did the sound of voices just inside the room. Amongst the tables, body parts and sewage were five vahzilok surgeons and their boss, a skinny old man with a mechanical pack on his back with arms coming off it in all directions. On the end were buzz saws, crusted blood all the way around the outside of them.
On the floor next to them were two police officers and a man sitting on the ground motionless. The quick, excited dialogue of one of the surgeons echoed down the passage.
"--too good to be true! 's like 'es got no brain or summit. Jus' does as 'es told, like a good lil' sac o' meat. I'm tellin' ya, that robot ain't kiddin'! Free meat is what 'e promised, and look wha' we got! Coppers too!"
The doctor looked mildly interested, turning to the hostages and looking them over.
"You should make sure you get every one. Try not to get so much attention next time. If there will be as many as it says... we certainly have run into a spot of good luck. Live specimens are so hard to come by nowadays..."
The doctor reached over to the table and picked up a large hacksaw.
"Put the live one of the table. Let's begin." -
As the crew of heroes slipped slowly through the black tunnel, nothing but the sound of echoed drips and the occasional squeak of a rat could be heard.
The tunnel was straight and narrow, with dim lights occasionally reflecting off the sewage and slime-covered brick walls. The smell was awful, but was reassuring to the heroes in some ways. You know you're on the track of Vahzilok when you're hit by the stench of rotting corpses.
The tunnel ended abruptly, a large metal iris gate between them and their path. A lever stood to one side, rusty but oiled and well used. -
Mysicism couldn't help but stare dumbfounded at the bunch of lobster dudes. The one in the top hat was their captain apparently, and somehow they could all speak English.
Not only that, but they speak of some sort of machine that would win their fight. Mysticism wondered what on earth it could be. She would go along with this for now, but if this machine was dangerous to anything other than those dinosaurs the Baron sent out... well... she wasn't going to let them go on a rampage that was for sure.
Mysticism followed the lobster captain dude further into the cavern. -
((Considering he was nearly dead, that's a lot of pain you absorbed o.o;
)
The officer was better, though not perfect, but with his pain numbed and his wounds slowly healing he was able to talk. The officer shakily turned his back on his comrade in the seat next to him. He was fatigued from the experience alone if not from having sustained such injuries. None the less he leaned forwards towards the heroes.
"Thank you, I'll be fine, thanks just listen. You've got to stop them. They've got Peterson and Jennings. The surgeons, they've got a civilian with them but... he's not unconscious. It's like... like he's in some sorta trance. Just goes where they push him. I don't know what they done to him but... you've gotta save them."
He slumped back into his seat, exhausted. A paused, getting his breath for a second before continuing.
"The leader one, he said something about how they gotta get back to the tunnel before more of us show up. They were heading towards the zig' so... I guess they must mean the old drainage tunnel down in Dark Water." He groaned, he body still going through the healing process.
"Hurry. I'll be fine. If they get away... god... Jennings has a kid... please..."
Slumping back into his seat, trying desperately not to look at the body next to him, he rests letting the healing do it's work. -
As Aisha turned the handle the door rattled but was locked. A well placed kick could easily send it flying from it's hinges but obviously no forced entry had taken place before now. The windows of the apartment were dark all over the building.
The car at the other end of the alley was worse than the other. Obviously the surgeons hadn't had enough people to take more bodies, as both policemen from the car were still there. What was left of them. One had more holes in him than a cheese grater, though obviously he had actually put up a fight. He was missing an arm and his cap had fallen down over his face. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to lift it.
The second one was more intact. He had been stabbed, but only once in the shoulder and again in the stomach. A slight pulse could be found in him, and with some medical attention, he may even survive. Right now though, he was barely conscious. The problem is, he's the only witness to where the surgeons went, but talking will only make his condition worse. -
Mysticism paused. Dinosaurs. Cavemen. People turning chinese. Portals screwing with time itself. And now.... lobsters in cosplay? Seriously. Had somebody spiked her drink with something experimental? I mean, it's like this guy in the hologram was purposefully looking to break the 'Strangest operating villain' record.
She couldn't help feeling wary of the lobster man thing guy, but at the same time he wasn't exactly hostile. But then, what the hell was this about her being leader of a resistance? Maybe she should just concentrate on the dinosaurs...
Now -THIS- is more like it! Something a little more exciting happening now eh? You should follow him. You might get worshipped as their god or something. At the least, it'll be interesting to see how many got put down here.
Mysticism was starting to think maybe having an avatar of the planet itself in her head wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
"So all the stuff outside wasn't exciting enough for you? Ugh, aren't you supposed to want to stop all this from happening, rather than just wanting it to be exciting?"
I'm here to protect the planet, and I don't know about you girl, but this doesn't look exactly planet threatening. Anyway, you're talking out loud, and the humanoid lobster can hear you.
Mysticism blushed with embarrassment before wondering why she was embarrassed in front of some strange lobster guy. She decided what to do, though had a suspicion is was all going to end in tears.
She turned to the lobster dude.
"Lead the way, I'll help you in any way I can just... keep those claws to yourself."
She wasn't sure she was any resistance leader, but she was damn sure that being a hero wasn't limited to saving humans. -
The car the radio signal had come from was not a pretty sight. The blood smeared remains of the windscreen was shattered and glass was everywhere. The bonnet was crumpled from the gang of surgeons trampling over it and the radio itself lay broken and smashed on the floor. The lights on the roof still threw a whirling blue and red glow onto everything in the night.
The police officer who had made the call for help was nowhere to be seen, but a trail of dark liquid led the way to another alley nearby. It was a long alley and tall buildings peered down onto it, but other than the echoing sound of footsteps inside, nobody else was around.
