  1. Congrats mate, one of the best blappers I've ever had the pleasure to play with (or the displeasure to play against )

I admit it's fun finishing someone off who's run back to base and thinks their safe because they dont appreciate the range of a sniper rifle but I can't help think base huggers are missing out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Pfft. Snipe? SS + Melee attacks are more fun for base charging!

    PVP and debt

    [ QUOTE ]
Well if you want the debt taken away then you have to take all of the XP.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Im ok with that, who the hell farms the hotspots for xp lol

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Seconded, with zeal!

Seriously though, with the way PVP goes sometimes, its nigh-on impossible to fight without several mobs joining in. There are far too many of them, and they're far too hard to avoid. The full grade of outdoor debt is like a slap in the face for trying to enjoy yourself :P
I'll give up XP for the lack of debt.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh yes, I'd happily sacrifce the XP. After all, if you want Xp in PvP zones - missions are the way to go.

Knockout Blowing dronehugging villains into next week when they think they are safe is priceless .

    [/ QUOTE ]

Especially if they're MM's who've been bugging you
  6. Well I've only done a small practice raid (very small, 1 v 1 ). But I appeared (as the raider) at their base entrance.

MM's and Controllers will have to re-summon pets.

    [edit]

I think raiders can also appear at 'doors', which you can place in edit mode, I'm not 100% sure about that one though.
  7. I'll try and make it. Although I have less than 24 hours to decided which costume I'll wear!

The base is not off the field.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yes it is.

    [/ QUOTE ]
No, leaving the zone would be going off the field. If you're still in the zone, you're still in the zone, whether you be back at base, or at the top of the tallest building in the zone, or hovering at the flight ceiling in the corner of the zone. If it is possible to reach it within the abilities and limitations of the game, it's in the field. Going inside mission doors, leaving via the zone exits, and going inside the hospital (now, anyway) is going off the field. I've hunted people in bases when I've had to before, perfectly willing to accept droning/NPC death as a result, if I've been so minded - it's all a matter of how far you're prepared to go in order to get that victory.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I actually quite enjoy chasing people into the base...trying desperately to get that last power off before the inevitable droning.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
What he meant to say is Chives is back so your days are numbered!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Ooo...dems fightin' words!
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Yes but at the same time, saying "thanks for the debt" is very much the same as accusing someone as being reckless and causing other people debt. If someone causes themselves debt, and points the finger at someone else, im not about to leave the subject untouched.

    *snip*

    [/ QUOTE ]

Totally agree with you there. I hate people who say things like that to me. If you get killed by an NPC, that's just tough luck - it's one of the risks of the PvP zones. Don't like it? Then stick to the arena.

In this case especially, if the person was running away and got themselves killed and then actually blamed me, I'd probably have a chuckle to myself as well.
  11. I'll be there...for a whole week if need be!

I try not to give away cheap easy kills by accepting that I am gonna be killed and just stand there waiting for the inevitable.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    From my original post;

"This isn't about ppl not standing and fighting - running, flying, tping or SSing away is fair enough."

Running is part of fighting. I run ALL the time, well actually I fly, but never back to base where the enemy can't follow, which is what I'm talking about.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well that's the only place I can dafely rest and get my health back after being AS'd.

Depends. One on one, or even two or three on one and I'll probably stick it out. Anymore than that and I'm outta there.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, if the Defiant Bantamweight & Heavyweight Champion admits he runs for home when the odds are worse than 2:1 then it doesn't bode well for the community.
But I'm glad you told us, perhaps you can answer the question; Why?
Being splattered means you'll wind up back at base anyway, minus nothing but the walk home. So why run there to escape... being teleported there?

    Just curious.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I actually said three on one.

And that's because as a blaster, I'm unlikey to have much of a chance. Especially as most larger villain teams have at least one Stalker with them.

I'll mostly come straight back and try and whittle them down...but it would be stupid for me to try and fight it out as though I were a scrapper.
  14. Oh yes, Regen aura is very useful. It turns everyone into a regen scrapper for a short time. (I believe it's actually better than Instant Healing once you get it slotted with 3 heals).
  15. I can understand why they kept coming back. They probably wanted to prove they could beat you (even if they couldn't ).

But I agree about the attitude, there's no need for it and it ruins PvP for everyone.

Skill is not required in this game to do PvP.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Then you clearly don't PvP very often (Or you only PvP against bad players). Skill makes a huge difference.

    Praetorian AVs

    [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
Oh no, wait, my mistake. Neuron and Bobcat both appear in Maria Jenkin's arc as well as Tina's arc.

You must've had two arcs open already. You haven't actually done the proper arc.

    [/ QUOTE ]

As far as i know, Maria gives 2 types of missions, AV Arc missions, and Out of Arc missions with AVs, both count towards dimensional warder?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, they still count. But there's a couple of AV's that appear in the arc and not in the out of arc missions.

    Fire/Kin Build

Yeah, I was considering going for a travel power and respecing....but yesterday I was teaming with Spad on his Kinetic defender and he was outpacing me with fly!

    Praetorian AVs

If you get clues when you speak to the contact after finishing a mission that usually means you're on an arc.

Also, check here for details on the arcs.

Fair enough then, But I wouldnt put too many slots in it, Just enough acc to get rid of the AS

Does it take accuracy? Hero Builder wouldn't let me put any in.

I wouldnt bother taking hot feet, or maybe respec it out later once you get the imps. The damage is poor really.

Hot feet is more for the PvP side of things...bloomin' Stalkers

    Fire/Kin Build

I've been toying with starting a Fire/Kin Controller (I'll make on as soon as I can figure out a damn costume for him!).

This is the build I'm thinking of using, but never having played either Kinetics or Fire before I want some advice.
