Wow. Yet again I'm amazed by your talent! I so need to save some money for a piece!
-
Assuming the def buff is 13.6%
8 Thug MM's = 16 Enforcers
16*13.6 = 217.6% Defence for the pets. Unslotted!
That's why I don't trust those numbers. -
Oh yes, I know that. But it does stack with other Thug MM's pets. I've seen my pets with 14 or so stacked at any one time.
[Edit]
Is it possible that the prima guide lists the numbers for both Enforcers stacked together? 6.8% seems more reasonable. -
I'm pretty sure it does stack. In all Thug teams I've seen high numbers on the leadership icons.
-
I'm not so sure about the numbers in the Prima guide...13.6% seems very high. Stack that a few times and we're talking stupidly high levels of defence. (Especially bearing in mind that each MM has two enforcers in later levels. That's already 27.4%, just four MM's and we're already over 100% defence.
-
Wow. I'm all, like, motivated and stuff.
Great work! -

Damn you Hamidon, you killed my father!! I'll be there, with my Bubbler again, for the visual reference win!!

He also killed my son, KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!
Yeah, so I'll be holding the Tank up again.

And my cat! The *******. -

Anyway - sounds like we get a nice little bit of "new" content to tide us over till I8
[/ QUOTE ]
It was origionally supposed to come before i7...(actually, it should have been active when CoV launched really) -
I find it most useful for tanking bosses. The damage is pretty poor, so I slot for recharge.
-
In PvP it's better to be able to stack holds than have one hold last longer. It makes it easier to break through someone's mez protection.

Only suggestion I can give, is when you go to a PvP zone, an all-stalker team isnt as effective as it looks, cause a decent balanced hero team will kick your [censored] with relative ease.
[/ QUOTE ]
Definately. You want some buffers/debuffers/mezzers on the team. Any decent mixed hero team can destroy a team of Stalkers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just as a team of good villains can kill the opposing balanced hero team(note, im not trying to counter your argument, rather than point out that its down to peoples playing skills rather than builds always)
Personally I think that its the villains who are having trouble in the zones currently, which is why I play that side when I get the chance. Playing heroes is too easy atm.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh definately, a good team on either side can do very well. It's just a pity that it rarely happens on both sides at the same time. -
[ QUOTE ]
Don't underestimate the strength of tier 1 units; especially when slotted up.
Mine are two accuracy/three damage, and they consistently hit while putting out significant damage. While they're delicate - a solid couple of hits from a Boss will make them crumple - I think it would be folly to ignore them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Definately agree. They may be meatsheilds, but they sure pack a punch. I solo on Invincible with my MM...and unless I'm against certain Longbow bosses (or some of the Heroes in Mayhem missions) I have no trouble. Apart from Demolitionists that is. Stupid burn patch makes my pets panic! -
[ QUOTE ]
well, we ran a few tests when it was bugged, and one of the most destructive moves to stability was for attackers to form teams, lol.. if attacking side kept to soloing, it was alot more stable for some reason
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, that was very annoying. If the attacks came in solo, it was fine. If they came in as team team, bye bye Base Raid. (And TeamSpeak oddly enough. For both SG's, with different TS servers...) -
[ QUOTE ]
He went back towards them, he could have left the PvPer zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
Definately. This person was there to kill heroes. Those heroes have a right to stop that happening. Simple as.
[ QUOTE ]
pvp is rubbish in this game, don't even bother with it is my advice, you meet much nicer people just doing the pve game as pvp tends to attract the more childish members of the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
1 v 1 PvP is pretty poor, I agree. But team PvP in this game is sooooo much fun. The PvP is clearly aimed at team fights. And it does work. A good team can counteract almost anything.
[ QUOTE ]
As many have said, the game wasn't designed for PvP, and even in team PvP I've never been in a situation where the opposing sides have felt balanced. Generally, the fights are won before they're fought.
[/ QUOTE ]
In zones, I'd probably agree. They're very rarely well balanced. And the majority of the time, each side is working on their own, even if they're in a team.
But when you get two teams who actually work together it's amazing fun. Some of my best moments in this game have been in PvP fights.
[ QUOTE ]
1) Unless you are a spines regen scrapper you are [censored] and will die
[/ QUOTE ]
Not really. They are pretty popular at the moment. Average or bad players can do well against other average or bad players. But if you get someone who can PvP well, they'll destroy most Spines/Regen scrappers.
[ QUOTE ]
2) Hide is worthless as every body can see through it
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not as good as it used to be. But that's only because people have realised they can counter it. Any team with an empath (well, a decent empath at least) will have no trouble with stalkers. And there are a number of other powers with +perception. Stalkers either need to get stealth, or team with someone with grant invis. They're no longer able to kill with impunity. Which is good.
[ QUOTE ]
3) SR is useless and as you don't get a heal your just gonna die.
[/ QUOTE ]
SR is actually quite strong in PvP. But again, there are a number of accuracy buffs in the game. An empath with Fortitude and tactics (especially if there are more people with tactics) is going to make a big difference against SR (or other defence based sets). Same with any blaster who has Aim/Build Up.

4) The 'improvements' to hospitals in PvP zones now mean that most of the action now takes place while waiting for your rest to recharge.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed. I hate this change. It just slows down the fights in a zone. Especially if you're losing.
[ QUOTE ]
Heroes are spawn point lhamams just waiting for someone to pop their head over the wall so they can gank em.
[/ QUOTE ]
So grab some mates/total strangers. Work out what you're going to do (i.e. Who to go for first, second, etc). Then destroy the campers.
I did that recently. A SG mate mentioned over TS that a large (more than 8) group of villains was base camping the heroes in Sirens. So we got a team together (only 6 of us). Buffed up, charged out, annhilated the villains. Who then accused us of ganking (this is the same people who'd been TPing any hero who stepped out of the hospital). Even though we were outnumbered. That was a great moment.
Ganking. Gang Killing.
[ QUOTE ]
Personally I hate ganking and wont join in if people start doin it.
[/ QUOTE ]
It does get boring. But I also don't want to wait around forver waiting for the opposite side to get organised. That's even more boring. I'm more happy being outnumbered. A small team against two or three full teams. Now that is fun.
[ QUOTE ]
knowing that I'm going to get ganked but seeing if I can take someone down with me just for the hell of it
[/ QUOTE ]
That's always good fun. Knowing you're going to die, but trying to take at least one person with you.
[ QUOTE ]
(note no placate or buildup below 30 as it is)
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a part of your problem really. Both of those are important powers for a stalker in PvP. -
Yup. This goes out especially to people that say PvP doesn't work in this game. Solo, I'd agree. But team PvP is where it's at. Pretty much all the best moments I've had in this game have been when in a decent team PvP situation (S4 especially. Two organised teams going at it, such great fun.)
I urge everyone who's had a bad PvP experience to get a team together and head to Sirens one night. Trust me, you'll love it. Especially if there's a decent team on the other side. -
[ QUOTE ]
What ex said, its one of the biggest playstyle differences between the good PvPers and the bad.
The good ones move, the bad ones stand there and get hit in the face.
[/ QUOTE ]
Totally. If you don't move around, you're dead. That's it. The sooner people realise that, the sooner they'll stop whinging about Stalkers being overpowered. -
Give Cluricaun a shout if I'm on, happy to help you start it.

I would never, under any circumstance, drop RA.
[/ QUOTE ]
why?
from my experiance in PvP the RAs are god. it makes you (and team) virtually untouchable.
[/ QUOTE ]
He means he would never drop RA from his build. -
Yup, the arsonist is a corruptor, although on the downside the bugger really is an aggro magnet.
-
Another thing that annoys me. People who go to PvP zones to do missions, and then complain if people kill them! By doing missions they affect the PvP in the zone, so they're valid targets.
-
[ QUOTE ]
If you are playing an empath as primarily support then you can ignore Combat Jumping as for the defence bonus it gives it isn't worth it considering you will rarely be drawing aggro (fingers crossed!).
[/ QUOTE ]
The defence from CJ is pretty much always pointless. I think it's 2.5% unslotted. But it's worth it for the immob protection. I'd say go SS + SJ, it's a nice combo really. Although I still have fly on Empath, I love the power, and as you say (Venture), it's ace for the shards. -
I think I have 1 end mod and 2 healths in mine.
But...
[ QUOTE ]
The health slots, on the other hand, are useful. Powerboosted Regen Aura and then AB on one team member right after gives you someone who's basically been turned into a /Regen.
[/ QUOTE ]
Powerboosted Regen Aura alone makes you better than a regen with IH! So awesome to throw that on a good blapper and see them slaughter all. -
Well Xanthus has pretty much said everything. But I'd consider dropping the extra slot from Ressurect. Depends if you have somewhere else that could use the slot.
[ QUOTE ]
Drop one of your attacks and get regeneration aura. With Power Build Up, it provides more +regen than Instant Healing. Slot it 3 recharge 3 heal.
[/ QUOTE ]
But that is the major thing. Seriously. It's almost Godmode for your team!
