Another idea for Isolator!
The Abandoned Sewer System is underneath the entire city, so why not have an entrance in Outbreak!
IIRC, heroes that reach level 35 can enter the Abandoned Sewers. They would have to find the route to Outbreak and would exit a manhole cover in the street. They would be autoexemped to level 1 upon entry.
They could take out 100 contaminated, get the badge, and the only way back to the city would be back through the Abandoned Sewers.
The manhole would only work for L35+ so level 1s wouldn't be able to use it.
This would also be a way to help teach friends that are new to the game. You could meet them in the tutorial and show them the ropes! -

I just had a thought.
"Kill X" badges - they normally count the efforts of ALL team-members, yes?
...
Has anyoen considered rolling a new hero, doing the whole tutorial EXCEPT THE LAST MEETING WITH THE FINAL CONTACT ... and then teamign with a friend's L50 main ... before happily heading off to bash Contaminated skulls?
...
Might that be a workable way to get those badges, without requiring a change in code ...? Or are my fears of "different zone, doesn't count" all too true ...??
[/ QUOTE ]
Holy crap, would this work? I'm not sure. I'll tell you what though - Em, if you're on tonight, I'll be glad to test this. If it works, I'll post it - and then everyone and their grandmother who wants it but doesn't have it better get it because you can guess they'll batten down that hatch quickly.
[/ QUOTE ]
We can try it Ric, but I don't think it will work since we'll be in different zones.
HOWEVER!! This could be a better idea than my OP.
Would it be possible for the devs to change Isolator so that if it's acquired by someone in Outbreak that anyone on their team (in another zone) would also get it?? -
[ QUOTE ]
Em... bro your analogy (while I understand your point) doesn't fit.
We're talking about a (realistically) pointless badge. It's not nor will ever be part of an accolade. It's just one more bauble. Do you need it to boost your ego that bad? ::ducks::
**THE ABOVE STATEMENT IS IN REPLY TO ISOLATOR IN IT'S CURRENT FORM WHICH IN ITS DESCRIPTION *CLEARLY* STATES HOW YOU GET IT**
Now that that's out of the way... see my other post a little ways up about how they SHOULD change the badge (remove Isolator in its current form) to make it something that CAN be rewarded to pre-badge era toons and still make sense.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ball, I think my analogy fits perfectly. Characters created before issue two should have some type of opportunity to earn Isolator. I know it isn't part of an accolade, just like the other 95% of the badges that are in the game are not part of one.
I'm a badge collector, and currently I have the opportunity to earn every badge in the game except one. Isolator. Shouldn't we all have the same opportunity to earn it?
It has nothing to do with boosting my ego. That comment was uncalled for and just rude. -
Imagine there's a brand new car dealership, let's call it Cryptic Motors, that has announced their new state of the art car, The Cryptic 5000! A car like no other! You read about the new car for over a year and think this is the ultimate car that you have been waiting for!
None of your friends have ever heard of Cryptic Motors, however based on the information they have provided it sounds like they have produced the car of your dreams! So the time comes, the car is released and you and thousands of other people just as excited as you are rush to the dealership to get one!
You take a quick test drive, then immediately take the new car off the lot and never look back! You're having a great time! It's everything you ever dreamed of! There are a few minor bugs that are adjusted internally at Cryptic Motors that fixes your car to make it perform even better!
The Cryptic 5000 is a smashing success! Everyone has to have one! Sales go through the roof!
Six months later Cryptic decides to give every Cryptic 5000 owner a little bonus! Everywhere you go with your car you can get a little shiny medallion that you can place on your car to make it even cooler! These little medallions are hidden all over the city and others can be obtained by running down certain numbers of pedestrians.
Also, while you're on the test drive if you run over 100 Cryptic Salesmen you get a special shiny medallion that is ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE PARKING LOT! This one special shiny medallion is not available anywhere else in the city! IT'S ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE PARKING LOT!
Soon all the Cryptic 5000 owners that purchased their car in the six months prior are pulling up to the parking lot looking to get back in so they can get the medallion for the 100 Salesmen too!
But they quickly find the gate to the parking lot is only one-way.
So the thousands of Cryptic 5000 owners, the ones that took a chance on this car, and took a chance on this company have no way to get the very first medallion that is now available to all new Cryptic 5000 Owners.
Doesn't seem fair does it?
Make the gate two-way Cryptic! -

....Other then making it a flashback or exemplar-type mission, all the other options require a fair amount of work.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which is what I suggested in the OP. Auto-exemp the player to level 1. It would be the easiest to code this way.
And Pamprin, your post was great! -
Responding to a couple of you here.
I don't mind exemping down to get badges. I don't see anything wrong with that. Friends and SG mates help each other out like that.
I absolutely despise the "selling" of badge missions. Thankfully, we don't see it that often on Triumph and when we do, people usually tell them how despicable it is to do something like that.
As for Flashback. I'm actually for the Flashback system. Your reasons Liquid are the exact same as the devs: Replayability. But I disagree with that totally. I think adding Flashback would allow even more immersion into the COH world for players and their favorite character.
Emerald Fusion is my first character ever created in COH. He's my first 50. I just had my L50 one year anniversary last week and I still play him a lot and still call him my main. He's even still got his very first costume. I still have more fun playing him than I do playing the countless heroes and villains I've created across every server. Don't get me wrong, I have fun playing my controllers, scrappers, tanks and all the rest, but I'd like to be able to log on as my main and go back to every contact I ever outleveled and finish their assignments, get the contacts I never had with him and do their missions too. Even though I've done the content numerous times with other characters I still want to do it with my main.
And when I'm done with every single thing that is possible? I'll PVP, or badge hunt, or base raid, or just help my friends and SG Mate. Or I could roll another alt until more new content comes out that I can do with Emerald Fusion.
The same thing with Isolator. Even though I have Isolator on numerous characters I would like to have the same opportunity to earn it on Emerald Fusion. -
[ QUOTE ]
...Well think about this. How much content has been added since the beginning of the game that you had already outleveled and can no longer do? That same logic applies here. You've outleveled this, and missed your chance.
[/ QUOTE ]
That logic does not apply here Moon.
We can take our level 50, exemp down and run new content with our friends. I've done every mission in The Hollows, Striga, Croatoa, and the new PVP Zones with my main.
We didn't outlevel and miss our chance. Every other kill # badge in the game is accessible! Isolator was put into a zone we no longer have access too.
And yes, we can roll a new character and get Isolator. And I've done so with every character I've made since Issue 2.
But my two 50s, the two characters I made the first week COH was released, and my two main badge collector characters, have no way to get it. We're just asking for a way to do that.
GO PRO-ISOLATORS! -
[ QUOTE ]
....Good lord, it's not like we are demanding ED be rolled back or somesuch. All we are saying is that we would be quite thankful if someone could take a moment to drop an apropriate mission or two in the database and populate it with some contaminated....
[/ QUOTE ]
Thank you Pamprin! Excellent! -
[ QUOTE ]
Another idea for the Isolator badge for thos of use who were around before patch 2...
Do it as a limited time event. A "Time Slip" has occoured resulting in portals temporarily appearing here and there in Atlas Park (or wherever) and if you run thru it you are thrown BACK IN TIME....To the outbreak mission. PLUS your character will be first level again (just for the mission). You have to do the Isolator mission again to get out, BUT you can also bag your 100 infected.
Even the badge text would be appropriate then, since you technically DID do this at the beginning of your career.

Hey Cap, did you read the OP? -
Wow, I never realized my post would explode into this! Who knew one little badge would cause such a heated debate?
I do understand those of you that replied stating there are other more important things than this and I agree, however my idea is for one simple mission to be added. In my suggestion, there is no new art to design, no new villains to develop, and no new content. It's just one mission put into place to give a second method to get the badge for those that missed it. Seems simple to me and it gives level 50s something new to do! I don't understand why anyone would be against adding it even if they have the badge.
I do hope the devs eventually give us some way to get this elusive badge! Especially for Pre-Issue 2 Heroes!
Thanks for all the support from the Pro-Isolators! I guess I should thank the Anti-Isolators as well for making it such a big issue, and keeping the thread alive so more Pro-Isolators post!
GO PRO-ISOLATORS! -
Hey Cuppa! It's nice to see you! Even though it's with sad news.
-
A servermate of mine, Greystar, has a great idea for Isolator too involving the Terra Volta Reactor:
[ QUOTE ]
The reactor radiation serves as a logical source of contamination, and they can be scaled up to be higher-level.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be awesome! Devs, give us a way to get Isolator please! -
I was looking for a cool, simple way to get Isolator badge for those that don't have it. Didn't expect to see resistance to the idea. However there's a comic-book explanation for everything right?
[ QUOTE ]
Not really, because that would mean that the Lost which are sending the drug have to increase their supply, and that isn't happening in CoV yet.
[/ QUOTE ]
Because the hero did nothing the first time through the drug made it's way into the watersupply contaminating even more civilians!
[ QUOTE ]
Also, if there's an outbreak, wouldn't they just send in the currect heroes to take them on? It'd be faster to send in someone that could take out all of them in a matter of minutes than a to send them back in time to an issue in the present.
[/ QUOTE ]
Because the hero failed to take care of the contamination the first time, Ms Liberty felt it was right to give the hero this one opportunity to correct their mistake personally! -
So, the hero is not sent to the exact point he left, but a short time later when their numbers had grown significantly enough to cause the zone to be overrun in the future.
Feel better now? -
The Isolator Badge reads:
"You began your career on a high note, by personally ending the riots of contaminated thugs in the Outbreak Zone."
However every hero created before Issue 2 has no way to get it! I know there's been some discussion about it, but here's an idea.
Any level 50 hero that speaks to Ms Liberty or Back Alley Brawler will have the opportunity to do a new mission for them. You can only do this mission once and you must be level 50 to gain access to it.
"Hello <hero name>, as a Hero of the City I have a special assignment for you! When you first entered Paragon City the Contaminated in Outbreak were running rampant. Their numbers have grown since and are taking over!
DATA has provided me with a personal Time Travel device that will teleport you back to the time you arrived. But beware <Hero Name>, the contamination has spread! The only powers available to you will be the two you had when you first arrived!
If you stop the Contaminted you will have saved the zone from being overrun in the present! The time travel device only works for one person so you must complete this assignment alone. Return to me for debriefing when you are complete! Good luck!"
As soon as the hero accepts the mission they will transported to the Outbreak map and it will be infested with twice the normal amount of Contaminated! The mission will be to eliminate 250 Contaminated and the mission display will have a counter. The hero will be autoexemped to level one.
The hero takes out 250 of them, gets the badge and a L53 SO. Click mission complete to return to Ms Lib or BAB. Click on them:
"Great job <hero name>! You did it! You stopped the contamination during your arrival to the city and have helped all future generations of heroes. You are a Hero of the City!"
Why the time-travel aspect of the storyline?
To preserve the original intent of the badge "You began your career on a high note.."
Why level 50s only?
Dedication! Only heroes that have shown such dedication to their characters and to the game should have this one opportunity. Heroes created before issue two, should be level 50 by now anyway.
Why the SO? Just a little incentive for a hero created after Issue 2 that has Isolator to run the mission.
Why is the mission only available once? Storyline purposes
Why 250 Contaminated? Dedication! Dedicated badge collectors will not mind. And story line purposes. Because the hero didn't take out 100 Contaminated the first time they were there, their numbers grew, now the hero must make up for it!
What do you think? -

Fusion Force is one of the oldest Supergroups on Triumph! It was formed one week after the release of COH and is filled with amazing and knowledgeable players! The average age of our membership is 30. We are a mature group that enjoys missions, AVs, Task Forces, Trials, SG meetings, photoshoots, some PVP including base raids, and we use our website fusionforce.us to coordinate TFs and big SG and Server events! Our most recent server event was an invasion of the PVP zone Bloody Bay and was great fun and a huge success!
Currently Fusion Force consists of three Supergroups:
Fusion Force Legends is for our most active members! FFL has a great SG Base that included teleporters to all the available beacons, medical facilities, a workshop, and our mission computer! We keep our roster active with a strict 30 day kick policy. FFL is filled with active level 50s and other very active heroes of all levels. Members are allowed one character on Fusion Force Legends.
Fusion Force (the original SG) is for semi-active members. The FF base is the home of "Club Fusion" an alternative to the Paragon Dance Party and a great place to relax and chat with SG and Coalition mates. Fusion Force has a 60 day kick policy. Fusion Force is filled with members of all level ranges. Members are allowed two characters on Fusion Force.
Fusion Force Reserves is the home of semi-retired, seldom played heroes, and alts. When heroes of a specific AT or powerset are needed for a specific task, they can be called into duty from the Reserves to help others. Members can have an unlimited number of characters on FFR and there is no kick policy.
Fusion Force has a Supergroup uniform and two special uniforms! The Standard Green and Gold uniform is usually taken by new recruits at level 20 for their 2nd costume. The White and Green "dress whites" uniforms are for SG and Server functions. The Red and Black uniforms are for Fusion Force Shadow Shard Task Force teams! Our uniform guide can be found here: FF Uniforms guide The uniform are not mandatory, but players are encouraged to take the standard uniform.
Fusion Force members are courteous to all SG and Coalition mates and to all others. We have policies in place for PVP behavior and ask all our members to respect others in both PVP and PVE.
Fusion Force is part of a Super Coalition with Global Heroics and Wild Cards! We use our coalition channel to recruit teammates for missions and Task Forces.
If you're interested in joining us check out the Fusion Force Charter on our website, located in our New Recruits forum. After you review the charter and are interested in joining us, register on the website and leave a message in the New Recruits forum.
Hope to team with you soon!
Feel the Fusion! -
I agree with col007 that the sewer hunting team from 2 to 7 is a great way to level fast however I've been on a few team like this that have gone horribly wrong. Just team with caution in there.
Thanks for the additional post with details Fulmens.
I've played the game since release and the perfect pentad is the absolute best team configuration in my opinion, so no, you wont change my opinion on that one. Two tanks, Two defenders, Two controllers are redundant if the one already on the team knows how to do their job.
I do agree with Sakura that all defender/controller teams are fast and they are very fun, but I don't think they are as effective as the pentad.
[ QUOTE ]
3) Telling Blasters to "target through the Tank/Scrapper to lower aggro" is not very good advice. On my Scrapper's way to 50, I did a lot of teaming with a Fire Blaster and some teaming with an Energy Blaster who ALWAYS targeted through me. What I learned from the Fire Blaster: No Scrapper can keep the aggro away from a Fire Blaster going full-out, and even a Tanker has to work hard. Blasters on teams have to use fire discipline and judgement. There is no substitute. What I learned from the Energy Blaster: Knockback and "Target-through" is a bad combo. It goes like this: I hit "tab/follow" to pick my next enemy. I take a swing. I hit "s" to get out of follow mode. The Energy attack lands and the mob goes flying. Now I have to wait for the next, killing Energy attack before switching targets. I was spending my time not Scrapping, but Forward Observing.
[/ QUOTE ]
My advice is if the blaster is taking too much aggro to target through the tanker or scrapper. Not all the time. And it is excellent advice! If I'm on a team and the blaster is face planting repeatedly and I give them that piece of advice they are shocked at the difference and usually don't die for the rest of the mission.
I do agree with you about Energy and the knockback. Did you see what my main is? Energy/Energy blaster. There are ways for Energy blasters to position themselves to avoid or negate knockback when targeting through a melee AT, but it takes skill and precision to do so.
I have a level 36 Scrapper, so I understand what you're saying about forward observing. I team a lot with and Illusion Controller, and his Phantom Army has knockback as well. There are times when it gets frustrating, but I figure as long as the bad guys are going down it's okay.
I agree with your more detailed "primary job" of the Scrapper except a Scrapper shouldn't have to play the role of the Tanker unless the Tanker is not doing his job correctly.
I included the tutorial in my guide specifically for the Isolator badge as it is the only time you can get this badge. It can be done in under ten minutes.
I agree with you and others that street fighting from mission to mission can help with fast leveling as well.
I also agree with your +/- 1 level for the Respec.
The Buddy System is vital! Getting on a great Supergroup or forming one is one of the best aspects of the game IMO, as you'll always have great experienced players to form great well rounded teams.
I want to site a specific example for my original post.

Levels 18-20
At level 18 do Synapse's TF. You should reach level 20 by the end, possibly 21. You can do this one at 15, but you wont make it to 20.
[/ QUOTE ]
I did Synapse in four hours last night with my new Fire/Energy Blaster and an amazing team of SG members and one pick up player all set on Heroic.
1. (me) Level 18 Blaster - hit level 21 in the final mission
2. Level 18 Dark/Dark Defender - hit level 21 in the final mission
3. Level 15 Fire/Ice Tank - hit level 19 in the final mission
4. Level 15 Katana/Regen Scrapper - hit level 17 in the final mission (he had to log for 3/4 of the TF)
5. Level 15 Fire/Storm Controller - hit level 19 in the final mission
and
6. Level 18 Warshade - hit level 21 in the final mission
7. L50 autoexemped Kinetic/Electric Defender
8. L20 Energy/Energy Blaster - hit level 21 a couple of mission into the TF
There are always going to be different opinions on fast leveling and more specific details that can be given for each AT, but this basic strategy guide will help anyone level faster.
Thanks! -
[ QUOTE ]
I disagree with most of the stuff in your guide.
I don't know if it's particularly useful to give details; it won't change your mind.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is a fast strategy that works very well for me. It does not include power leveling, which I find extremely boring. Of course people are going to disagree and have their own fast leveling ideas, but this one has worked for me on several alts and I thought I would share it. -
City of Heroes is full of rich comic-book style storylines and intricate story arcs. If youre new to the game then I suggest you take your time and do as many contacts and story arcs as possible. Then do it a second or third time with other characters. The game has a lot to offer and you can take different contact routes with each character you create.
However, when you have seen all the content and done the same missions dozens of times, but you want to play new heroes and experience new powersets, you may want a fast leveling strategy.
First, here are a few suggestions and tips for maximizing XP:
Build a great team! In my experience, a perfect team is one of each of the five primary ATs. If you are going to increase the team size to 8 it will lower your XP so the others should be damage dealers to speed up the whole process. Two tanks get in each others way. Two Defenders or two Controllers are unnecessary. Again, Im only talking about maximizing XP in this example. There are all kinds of great team configurations and you should never disregard your friends and SG mates just for XP.
Know your primary job and your standard position on the playing field!
· The Tanker is the front line and the teams shield. Tankers taunt, provoke, and punch to keep the enemies focused on them at all cost! The Tanker takes the forward point and all other teammates should follow him through the mission.
· Just behind the Tanker youll find the Scrapper. The Scrapper has one job: Damage.
· In the center of the pack youll find the Defender! Buffing the team or debuffing the enemies from a central location. Some Defenders play at the rear of the team and that works well, but being easily accessible to all teammates is better IMO.
· The Controller comes in right behind the Defender for their ranged holds but steps up to the front line from time to time to lock down multiple targets.
· The firing squad coming from the back of the team is the Blaster. Hes built for range and like the Scrapper has only one job: Damage. The Blaster can position himself right behind the Controller or even further back away from the team. If hes taking too much aggro he can target through the Tank or Scrapper. Like the Controller, from time to time the Blaster will get right in the middle of the action for a massive attack.
Of course these standard positions are not going to work for every battle and unexpected thing are going to happen. Just be aware of your teammates.
My two main fast leveling suggestions are:
1. Set your reputation to Rugged for missions
2. Do every Task Force on Heroic when you reach the middle level of the level range. When you do the Task Forces dont stealth the missions, so you can take advantage of all the XP available.
Fast leveling, by the levels:
Levels 1-2
Do the tutorial. This can be done in 3 minutes and gets you to level 2. When you get the two damage Training enhancements slot them immediately into your power that does the most damage making it 1+. That will make the door mission go even faster. If youre a badge collector, this is the only time to get the Isolator badge, by arresting 100 Contaminated. Every Contaminated counts, from the very first hunt 2 mission, but hunting them is most effective after you do the door mission, because you are level 2 and do more damage. DO NOT click on Coyote after the mission because he will send you on your way even if you hit cancel.
A quick note about Enhancements
If you have a character with available influence transfer as much as you can to your new character immediately after the tutorial and slot up with level 5 Training enhancements. Keeping your enhancements updated will make leveling faster. At level 7, get your 10 Training enhancements, at 12 get your L15 DOs, and so on. Dont bother combining enhancements unless you get them via villain drops.
Levels 2-5
Atlas Park
I have found that street hunting is just as quick (or faster depending on the AT) as running your first contacts missions up until level 5. The SW corner of Atlas where you find L5-6s is the best street hunting area. Controllers and Defenders will have a harder time here so find a small team or duo. All other ATs, including Kheldians, will level faster being solo. Go for yellow cons first. Get a feel for your powers and what you can take, then Oranges and Reds. Power Play! If you eat the dirt, get back into the battle asap. No debt to level 10!
Levels 5-12
The Hollows
As much as I hate the Hollows pre travel-power it is good for leveling. Get on a team and street hunt. Do the Hollows missions on Rugged. Get sidekicked and do Frostfire as much as you can. If you want to do the Cavern of Transcendence you need to do all the Hollows missions. The Cavern will usually get you one level if youre within the level range. I recommend unlocking it, but save it for later. If you get bored in the Hollows take a street hunting team to Perez Park, work the outer perimeter then hit Everett Lake for some L13-14 Hydra hunting!
At level 10 you start getting debt when defeated. The following information is based on my experiences and your results may vary based on how much you are or are not defeated compared to my experiences.
Levels 12-16
Steel Canyon
At level 12 do Positron's TF. You should reach level 16 by the end. You can do it at 10, but you wont make it to 16.
Level 17
Street hunt in Steel Canyon or Skyway City till you hit 18 or do missions set on Rugged till you hit 18.
Levels 18-20
At level 18 do Synapse's TF. You should reach level 20 by the end, possibly 21. You can do this one at 15, but you wont make it to 20.
Levels 20-22
Go to Striga Isle and do Striga missions on Rugged till you hit 22. If you want to do the Ernesto Hess TF later you need to do all the Striga missions.
Levels 22-25
At level 22 do Sister Psyches TF. You should reach level 25 by the end, possibly 26. You can do Sister Psyches TF at 20, but you wont make it to 25.
Levels 25-27
At level 25 you have a two TFs and a new zone:
· Moonfires TF should get you from 25 to 27. Its level range is 23-28.
· The Terra Volta Trial can also get you from 25 to 27. ALWAYS do the TV Trial on Heroic, but keep in mind the level range is 24-33 so build a team of heroes within the same level range.
· Croatoa is level 25-35. There are four contacts. Doing their missions on Rugged should get you to from 25 to 27 or 28. Half way through the third contact she will tell you to come back when you reach level 30.
Levels 27-30
At level 27 you also have two TFs:
· Citadel's TF should get you 30 by the end, possibly 31. You can do it at 25, but wont reach 30.
· If youve unlocked it, Ernesto Hess' TF should get you a level or two, but probably not to level 30.
Levels 30-32
At 30 head back to Croatoa to finish off the contacts and you will unlock the Katie Hannon TF. Running the rest of the missions on Rugged should get you to 32. If not, street hunt or run the next two TFs early.
Levels 32-35
At level 32 you have two TFs:
· If you do Manticore's TF at 32 you should be 35 by the end, possibly 36. Its available at 30, but you wont reach 35 if you start it at 30.
· If unlocked, Katie Hannon's TF is available at 30. This TF is short. Running it at 32 will get you to 33, possibly 34. Do Manticore to get you to 35.
Heres where leveling get tougher. Update your contacts and run missions on rugged as needed.
Levels 35-36
· Save the Terra Volta Reactor Trial (2). Just like the first one, ALWAYS do the TV Trial on Heroic, but keep in mind the level range is 34-43 so build a team of heroes within the same level range.
Levels 36-38
Do Numina's TF at level 36 and you should reach 38 by the end. Its available at 35, but difficult to get three levels on it.
Level 38-41
Two of the games unique trials are now available and while they dont provide a lot of xp, you will usually gain a level or two if youre in the range. I dont recommend being the minimum level, and its always best to do these with an experienced team.
· Abandoned Sewers Trial is available at 38. The range is 38-42. If do it at 40 you should reach 41. Repeat as necessary.
· Eden Spire Trial is available at 39. The range is 39 41. If you do it at 39 you should reach 40. Repeat as necessary.
· Run missions on rugged as needed
· Street hunt 40s on the Peregrine Island docks
· At 40 hit the Shadow Shard and learn to use the jump geysers for some easy XP. Get your SS Contact and start on SS missions. Scrappers can usually solo here. I dont recommend it for any other AT. Beware the Wisps.
Level 42-50
After almost two years and we are still in need of some good level 40-50 content. Heres what we have now:
· If youve got 8 to 12 hours and a good team, do Dr. Quarterfield's TF (SS TF #1). The level range is 40-44. If you do it at 42, that should get you to 44 by the end due to the insane length.
· The second SS TF is Sara Moore. It has the widest Level range of any TF in the game at 40 50. Sidekicking is recommended for anyone below level 46. I think the optimal level for this one would be 46. That should get you close to 48 by the end of the TF.
· The third and fourth are Justine Augustine's TF's (SS TF#3) and Faathim the Kind's TF (SS TF #4). Both are level range 44-50. If you are 44 or 45 you might get two levels out of these. If you are 46 or 47 you might get one level. 48 and 49s might get a half level.
· Save the Terra Volta Reactor Trial (3). The level range is 44-50, and like the other two, ALWAYS do the TV Trial on Heroic. Take some 50s with you, and sidekick as needed.
· There are four contacts in Peregrine Island including AV missions and some of the best story arcs in the game. Youll want to do these.
Like I mentioned at the beginning, City of Heroes has a rich history wrapped in story arcs and I think every player should experience every mission at least once. After that, power game!
Hope this helps you level faster!

Fusion Force is one of the oldest active Supergroups on Triumph. We have a mature membership that enjoys all aspects of the game: team missions, Task Forces, Strike Forces, Trials, badge collecting, builds, costumes, character fiction, some AE, light RP, and light PVP. We prefer to recruit players, not just characters. Griefers and Exploiters are not welcome. We are part of the Grand Coalition of Triumph that includes: Global Heroics, Wild Cards, Myth, Inc., Demolition Girls, Carnival of Light, Dolls and Council of Heroes
We currently have 5 groups, and a few of them are in the Top 100 Supergroups on Triumph:
Fusion Force Legends - for active "namesake" heroes, as well as active alternate characters
Fusion Force - the original Supergroup, for semi-active heroes of all levels
Fusion Force Reserves - for heroes that see less action, but need a home
Shadow Syndicate - since COV, our villaingroup has always been the Preatorian counterpart of Fusion Force, and other active villains are welcome
Shadow Syndicate Reserves - for villains that get played less, but need a home
Our uniforms are recommended at L20, but not mandatory:
Fusion Force Uniform
Shadow Syndicate Uniform
Preferred Method for new recruits:
• take a look at our website, check out the Official Fusion Force Charter located in the New Recruit Forum, it will tell you how we operate
• note we have an age requirement of at least 18
• if you like what you see and think you'll fit in with us, register on the site
• when you get your confirmation e-mail, post in the New Recruit Forum and tell us a little about yourself: age, time zone, favorite AT, playtimes, global handle, etc
• new recruits need to team with at least two leaders or captains before being offered membership
• approved recruits are welcome to put one character in each group. more are allowed, space permitting
• in-game tells to a leader or captains or a PM here on the COH/COV forum are fine for initial contact, but all new recruits come through our website
Hope to team with you soon!

Throwing my hat in the "I don't like it" ring. Fusion Force (Triumph) is five Supergroups strong, and 4 of the five use our uniform! The uniform is not mandatory, but players usually get it at level 20. The lowest level SG, Fusion Force Academy, is L1-20 and FFA uses the SG colors on their characters original costume. So they are going to have more Prestige than the 60 Level 50 heroes in Fusion Force Legends? That doesn't seem right to me..
Our Base plans (based on Influence) were to have Fusion Force Legends have the base and members of the other four would be invited in as needed. It would make more sense that way.
It would be nice if we could link up the Prestige in a SG Coalition or transfer Prestige between characters.
Fortunately our SG logos are the same as our uniform logo so using the default setting wont be a problem for us.
I still think influence would be a better solution for it. -

Well, at least this is slightly better than the previous version of the XP Nerf. Thanks for hearing us out Devs and States.
