If you can join them but not speak, then just shoot a message to a mod in them and ask to be unsilenced. If you can't join them then they are private and therefore not what you are looking for (general teaming) anyway.
  2. Well this sure isn't what I expected given the thread title Chain Link, to me, means fences. Fence Melee would be kinda cool!
  3. Ah, yet another nerd who doesn't know language evolves.
  4. I like CoX because it's simple, easy to pick up and put down, and doesn't frustrate me. I don't play games to treat them as a job, so I like the fact that CoX is easy and straightforward. Even the hard stuff in this game is piss-easy.
  5. Never argue with nerds about katanas. It's tiresome and they take it way too seriously.

I think the idea was "We need two armor sets. One should clip badly, and the other should clip badly and look like rocks."

I have no idea what women giving birth has to do with Natural origin characters riding motorcycles, but I must say the mental image you summoned up here was... bracing.

There will be a cooldown timer on the purchase of these items. The amount of Inf and duration of the cooldown are still being discussed and will be evaluated once all of this hits beta. This is in addition to their availability in Super Packs.
    • Enhancement Catalysts will be added to the game as rare drops from enemies defeated during Incarnate Trials and in the upcoming newly Incarnated Dark Astoria. Like ATOs, this is in addition to their availability through Super Packs.
And 90% of my complaints, gone just like that. Assuming the costume parts are made nonexclusive, I am content. Thanks for listening to us.
  9. Serious question, no snark intended whatsoever: have the devs ever fixed a clipping issue? Have they ever gone back over a costume part or set other than to fix the most egregious errors and bugs? I would like to think they do, but I can't recall a specific instance.
  10. Ha ha, suckers! I was planning to stay subscribed anyway! You didn't have to bribe me with silly hats!

Psi holes are vastly overrated as far as them being a problem. I have mid to high 20s positional defense as well as my capped typed defense, I just pop a purple if needed and go to town. I find that EA's psi hole is no worse than Inv's, and I have never had a problem on Inv.

Nothing wrong with ELA but this thread is about EA, and EA is awesome.
  12. For my Inv characters, the choice between Rebirth or Barrier was easy, and the answer was Ageless.

New EA owns bones. I am softcapped, permahastened and kicking *** all without a single purple, PvP IO, or Hami-O. I cannot imagine what a beast I will have when I finally incarnate the character out. I recommend it to anyone.

It's not like DB is magically singled out by tohit debuffs. You would be no better off with any other scrapper melee set if three CoT Spectral Daemons all decided to hump your leg. Other than frontloaded BU/analog for ten seconds or so now and again, of course.

Anyway, on the original topic: I leveled my DB/DA scrapper without using any combos until Attack Vitals. It was fine. I pressed buttons, things fell over. Sometimes I missed! That happens to the best of us. I survived and you will too, assuming you don't give up and reroll.
  15. Male Gunslinger/Female Bordello Employee costume set? Thanks!

My feelings exactly. I was hoping for more Tallulah Black and less Mollie Johnson.

Ah well. You should join the crowd in the other thread(s) about it... I was hoping to lighten the mood here but alas.
I didn't know there was another thread, sorry. Not trying to derail this one! Now back to your previously scheduled Bon Jovi references!

Seriously though, I didn't say my female gunslingers look that way. I said the female gunslinger costume pieces look that way. I won't be using them on any of my characters, because I do not have any characters that are whores and I do not intend to make any in the future.
  18. Why do my female gunslinger costume pieces look like they belong to someone who works in a whorehouse?

StJ/EA here. Heavy Blow/Rib Cracker/Shin Breaker, with Spinning Strike or Crushing Uppercut as closers. Have not noticed any issues with running mobs, the way I have with Fire Armor and SR.

  23. Speaking from my own experience, /SR on brutes is so much better than /SR on scrappers that it is actually a little bit depressing. The much improved reordering of powers alone sold it for me, and the taunt aura is the icing on the cake. Easy softcap means lots of room to play with other options, like +recharge and +HP. Chasing Fury isn't as bad as it seems; generally speaking after five seconds of being beaten on by a spawn, I am at or near the max fury I am likely to generate anyway. A great choice!

Like you, I am in love with the new EA. I haven't tried it on a brute yet, but on a scrapper it's been an awesome ride. Having a nice heal and basically bottomless blue bar (after 35) is amazing. Having Entropic Aura grant such a hefty recharge bonus just plain feels good, and you can devote some more attention to capping all that typed defense. You do run into a bit of a psi hole, but even then it's not that bad at all. Another great choice!

If I had to choose between Elec/SR brute and Elec/EA scrapper, I would probably go with the Elec/EA scrapper, because I like all the utility it has without having to dip into pools.

I do not, not do I claim to do so. For instance, I certainly don't account for those who get their panties in a bunch because someone else got something faster than they did.

Seriously, why should I care if I farmed/marketeered up my IOs, and someone else bought them with cash? What harm does it do me if someone else accomplishes in five minutes and five dollars what might take me five days and five hundred million inf? It does me no harm at all, assuming I don't have a weak and frail ego and a need to feel like I am somehow accomplishing something in a video game.
