  1. I go into PVP zones, I expect to see other players who may or may not attack me. If they do, even repeatedly, them's the breaks. I knew what I signed on for when I entered the zone. To claim that someone killing you repeatedly in a PVP zone is griefing is ridiculous. I get that people want them temps and maybe don't want to get splattered in the process, but it's still a PVP zone and other players killing you is part of the challenge.

Heh, guess I shoulda been more clear when I posted upthread about having 75% or more of pseudoresists. I was referring to BG mode, but wasn't clear at all now that I read it again. Thanks for bringing it out into the open Nalrok!

My exact methods, and they work a treat. I did take an attack though, because with inherent fitness, I could.

*exhales with relief* I thought... I thought I was the only one.
  5. I don't wanna buy your IO, but I wanted you to know that repeating your name to myself out loud has kept a smile on my face for the past little while. Zubenelgenubi, Zubenelgenubi, Zubenelgenubi... it just rolls off the tongue so nicely.

    Why Provoke?

Provoke is nice to keep the aggros on my softcapped, 75% or more pseudoresist self and off my much squishier robot buddies, who leap to my defense.
  7. I run two monitors, without any special setup or windowed mode. Mouse goes between the two and when I click it focuses on whatever monitor. Works pretty well to have a browser open in one and a lackluster PuG TF in the other

This would be one of those situations.

  10. Honest question for Socorro: why would your SS/Inv brute be slower than your SS/WP brute?
  11. Yeah, I wanted to love Repair but Aid Other is just too sexy.
  12. Only ever been kicked for mocking the team leader when he told me to stop using Seeds of Confusion and start using Spirit Tree.

It appears that in your rush to snark, you failed to actually read and comprehend the post you quoted.
  14. Haven't seen this, and I like to pull Rommy to the front door of the mish (surprise, PUGgers!), so I assume I would have noticed it.
  15. If I could change only one thing about the game, I would make it so controllers didn't get defender primaries for their secondaries. I'm thinking elemental melee attacks sets would have been fun as hell.

    edit: yeah, kinda like Doms.
  16. Numi unique only affects you no matter what, and you should put it in health so it's always on.
  17. I use it in all my trops characters. Actually now that I think about it that's the only place I use it. It works quite well and like Nethergoat says, the ones on their backs ain't shooting you up.

Every scrapper and brute I have past 35 or so, a few defenders, my only corruptor... the list goes on. I do it by judicious slotting of IO sets and knowing my powers, my limits and what enemy groups will be too much to handle. My bots/traps MM is actually one of my slower x8 soloers, especially with bosses on.
  19. You're not gonna be disappointed with Super Strength's damage output, Sam. No way, no how. Well, maybe for ten seconds out of every 120.

    A profoundly terrible idea.

Ha ha ha. No. EA can't compare; I mean, I'm glad people do enjoy playing for whatever reason, but don't kid yourself that it's superior to SR in any way that matters.
  22. Don't buy an Alienware PC. Contrary to the [H]ardOCP crowd's most fervent beliefs, red lights and black plastic do not in fact make your games run faster, and futureproofing is a fool's endeavour when purchasing a PC. Spend a thousand bucks or so tops on parts from a reputable online shop, buy your most computer savvy friend a case of beer, and have her assemble your new box o' stuff into a great rig. Then use the other thousand bucks for upgrades later on.

    mids update?

Got the update last night, no problems.
