  1. Yes, Umbral, you are that predictable. And I for one get giddy when someone starts a new DM/regen thread!

And then I get depressed at how broke I am when I see all those orange/purple sets in your builds.

I was wondering if you had any suggestions for alternate, more affordable sets in place of things like Hecatomb, Armageddon, Manticore's etc.

Also, is that slotting of Boxing very common? I never really thought of it as a serious part of any attack chain, and the stun never seems to on any mobs you really need it for.
  2. Yes, /regen has been brought down a few notches over the years. It's less about toggles and more about reactive healing and defense now. Can't say I'm as thrilled with the secondary as I once was, but it's not so bad that I'd reroll out of it. It just takes some getting used to.
  3. My spines/DA scrapper has been on the back burner while I finish leveling my DM/regen scrapper, but it's definitely fun. The end issue is pretty intense, though. I don't really have the inf to ease it up much at level 34, either, so she'll have to stay parked for now.

Glad you are enjoying Spines though . It doesn't get much appreciation these days.

I've found that if I'm willing to wait, I can pick up level 20/25 IOs for cheaper than SOs. I'd recommend throwing out a few bids for around 20-30k and see if any bite. They provide a significant boost over DOs and will last much longer than SOs. I've actually had a few toons reach level 50 before swapping out a few level 25 IOs.

Or just run a couple of arcitect missions every level, and have enough tickets to buy +3 DO's/SO's whenever you need em. Not as good as IO's, as mentioned, but very cheap.
  5. It doesn't really seem worthy of its own thread, so Il'l just hijack this one and lure Umbral back.

I was wondering what, if any, binds people use, be they scrapper, DM or /regen related. I used to have one for SJ and teleport I think, but I don't have them anymore after returning to the game from a long break. Those aren't scrapper related of course, but I never used any others, so just wondering if I'm missing the boat on efficiency.
  6. I would applaud anything that makes the game more accessible to people, regardless of their limitations. And I have to high five another former AO player .
  7. So yesterday after the great nerf happened, I couldn't find a decent team, choosing decent missions, to save my life. Having just come back for, and resubbing from, the free anniversary week, I am a relative noob to the whole MA/AE thing. I've only been shouting for groups hoping to fill a spot, rather than starting them; but it seems that might need to change.

I need to know, well, what I need to know before starting my own AE team.
I have no 50 or 40's toons, just high 30's. What level missions should I be looking for? If I'm the leader, does everyone's level raise to match mine when we enter? I've been in mostly higher level 42-50 missions where everyone in the team gets exemplar'd or whatever, so how does that work? Is it a function of the mission itself? When a mission says levels 1-54 or something, what does that mean in relation to what level the group should be? I realize that the ridiculous exp from these missions is nerfed now, but is it still "better" to run higher level missions to at least get the most benefit for the time invested? Should I find a higher level person for my group and pass lead before we choose a mission? And should I always seek at least one dedicated tank/healer before filling out a team?

That's all I can think of for now. Anything else worth knowing to run a solid and successful TF/SF would be greatly appreciated .

    Thanks
