Too late right there
Quote:Okay, before things get taken out of context and proportion, let's just get this straight right off the bat.
Quote:During the Dev chat today, it was mentioned that Tankers MIGHT be the next AT being looked at, and that was certainly NOT a promise.
Quote:I think that Blasters were the elephant in the room, needing some decent changes.
Quote:All of the other ATs are about right, with some minor tweaking here or there.
A boot to the head!

Quote:Please reference redname post that this was the intent. You are badly wrong. Walk was intentionally allowed to work under "power suppression" conditions on player request, and the power is currently tagged to NOT suppress under the "Suppress_All" condition, so it not suppressiong when all other powers are is how it's intended to work. A power intentionally designed to not suppress under the effects of a suppression field but suppressing anyway is a bug, because it works counter to how the power is designed to work.
I refuse to accept any player's claims to know what is intended by the Dev Team without supporting evidence. -
-
So let me get this straight.... a power, Walk, does not currently work in an area where powers are suppressed.
This does not sound like a bug to me, sounds like "what's on the tin".
If this power could previously be used in a power suppression area, then a bug has been fixed. Huzzah!
Thank you, Devs for correcting this bug. It's not a game-breaker, but any bug that is fixed makes CoX a better game. -
Quote:Wow, that didn't come off as rude or condescending at all. Well done!So you're saying normal players shouldn't have a convenient method of getting an accolade because PLers would have it too? What kind of boneheaded reason is that?
Quote:I hate to break it to you, but the existence of PLing indicates the system is already broken. Paragon Studios added in two low level trials that basically spoon-feed you levels. If they were that concerned about PLing, I doubt they would keep legitimizing it.
More likely they just forgot Safeguards/Mayhems and Ouroboros exist, just like Bases and MA.
While I would like to see an option to get SG/Mayhem missions that have been out-levelled, I think that players who are concerned about these badges/accolades should take it upon themselves to pay attention to their level progress or find a friend who is lower level to help them out.
Perhaps giving a *choice* of 2 zones with overlapping level ranges would be a solution (AP 5-15, KR 10-20, for example, giving an option of which to do at levels 10-15). This would help the PLer and the non-PLer alike by giving a larger range to get each badge and some player control... hang on, having a choice might even appeal to the RPers.
BTW, DfB and DiB, the two low-level trials you seem to be referring to, are not mandatory. If there is a problem that comes as a result of bring "spoon fed levels", the players do have the option to spit out the spoon. -

Quote:Going to disagree with this. Why should someone at Paragon have to interrupt their time off?Considering Friday evening in the United States timezones is primetime for game activity, the event should at least be extended so that it covers Friday evening. I have a hard time believing that the devs can't work out a way to disable the event remotely so one of them can do it in a couple minutes really quick at home.
The hours of this weekly event are clearly posted. If the player can't make time to log in within the 24-hour window, the reward must not mean that much to them.
Just my opinion... -

Quote:I had to double-check my facts, but Vincent D was also "Edgar" in MiB, and the killer ("Carl Stargher") in "The Cell". A very versatile actor.D'onofrio is an awesome actor....dont care what anyone says.... Any actor that can pull off what he did in Full Metal Jacket gets a pass on everything in my book.
Also found out he was in "Strange Days", a movie I have not seen in far too long. -

Mission: Origin of Power - Finale: Stop Circle of Thorn
The Finale should send the player to a zone with a heavy CoT presence that can easily be accessed by Heroes and RoguesQuote:Contact: Anton Sampson in Founders Falls.
Mission arc: Mass Duplicity.
Mission Retrieve the ledger from Lisa Colbert.
This leave few or no options if you are running the missions as a Rogue.
Both mission arcs are set over level 14, which, if I'm not mistaken, is when the Oro Portal can first be earned. Therefore, they are not overly difficult to access. I would call this a possible improvement, not a bug. As others have pointed out, these can spawn in other zones as well. -
Ninjitsu is a good utility set, it has several fun tricks up it's sleeve.
Edit: Oops, didn't realize this was in the PvP section... not experienced in PvP, but Nin is a fun set to play. -

These 2 are older guides, but the information is still pretty sound. You mentioned not getting credit for running Oro arcs with limitations, I believe that that "single mission" arcs do not count for these badges, that's a possible solution.
Good luck. -

Quote:This. Just... this. The number of waves isn't a problem so much as the length of time in between each wave. 30 seconds between the end of one wave and the start of another should be sufficient, a minute if you're paranoid about groups needing to recover. The current eternity between waves is what makes it such an unbearable TF.
You've summed up my exact thoughts on a fix for these trials. -
Quote:Both Spiderman and Hulk could also be explained as Mutation origin. Their genetics/dna/whatever were altered from the "human norm" during their origin story. Remember Rifts "Techno-Wizards"? They use powersuits, etc. powered my Magic. I could go on and on, but at the end of the day, there are no hard rules for origin selection. YMMV.I always make my robots, cyborgs, and guys in power suits Tech. Science is for guys like the Hulk or Spider-Man.
From a charagter standpoint: It's your character, your Origin is what you decide it is. As long as it makes sense to you, the rest of the megaverse can go hang if they don't like your choice.
From a pure game mechanics standpoint: Different origin means a different apprentice power and different names for the enhancements you can slot (they are functionally identical). -
As far as I've ever been able to tell, this is just a display bug. The items are for sale at the correct per item price, but the "each" price does not display.
Looking at the particular items in the OP screenshot, I'm thinking they don't sell because the market is flooded with these things, probably listed at 1 each. Time to pull them make a vendor trash run. -
Quote:Er, April Fools? Please tell me this is an April Fools post. Please.Quote:That would be a lame April Fools Joke... an April Fools complaint about their April Fools...
But you obviously take the Clown MM idea a lot more seriously than I do ::shrug:: These things happen. Maybe when/if pet customization becomes a reality, this will become a non-issue. -

A little less attitude in your own post would be just fine. Zwill's post could be read as dismissive, but I don't think that was his intent. You are, IMO, putting words in his mouth.
Yes, typos suck. Yes, they are probably easily fixed. As someone upthread mentioned, hiring an English Major to act as proofreader is probably both reasonable and cost-effective. As a Ren-Faire comedian put it years ago:
Q: What's the best way to get an English Major's attention?
A: Yell, "Hey, Waiter!" -
Quote:From reading over the cast list, I think this is going to be closer to Ah-nuld than P.K. Dick. Not a whole lot of action in the short story, it's pretty much peeling the layers of Quaid's memory implants... although the final layer of that onion is pretty spiffy.Hmm... the one with Arnie was okay. Thought I heard that this remake was going to follow the short story it's based on closer than Arnie's movie version.
Still, after the "Fright Night" remake, I've got a higher opinion of Colin Farrel, so I'll definitely give this one a chance. -
Personally, would like to see some of the contacts, stores, etc spread out to the other safe zones throughout DA. Having so much of it in one tight area (near the old Talos gate) clutters up the map.
Of course this is just my opinion, I could be wrong.
